Thought we'd give the online ordering one more try because we really love the food. And yet again, they did not have the order ready. It was forgotten on the printer. My husband came home to return later to Local Table to collect. When he returned there was a whole meal missing from our order. He had to return a third time to collect the last meal. Heavy heart writing this because their food is genuinely tasty, however their "vegan" options are not actually vegan. I am dairy-free due to my breastfed baby having a dairy allergy. So I was really excited to see that Local Table had a full vegan menu. Right away when we sat down I let our waiter know my allergy and that I cannot have any dairy including cheese, butter or milk. I choose a vegan pasta option and mention that garlic bread is okay as long as there isn't butter on it. He said he'd check and offered pita bread instead. Immediately, I thought it was odd that a Vegan option includes butter, but still ordered my meal. Got my meal and everything looks good. I eat about 3/4 of it before I realize small pieces of Parmesan cheese in my VEGAN pasta! I immediately stopped eating it and took it to the waiter. All he said was sorry took the plate to see what happened. They sent over the manager who confirmed the waiter put dairy free on the ticket, but the chef decided to still add cheese. He comped my meal, but it still doesn't negate the fact that now my baby will suffer from their mistake. The owner needs to overhaul their vegan menu and retrain their staff to avoid these future issues. Thankfully, I'm not going to blow this up any bigger, but you can bet they won't always get so lucky. read more

I have had some awesome dishes the few times I have visited here for lunch. Sometimes the service is a little wacky with awkward servers, but they are kind and willing to help you with what you need. The hummus, burger, pizza... all delicious and don't taste like any ole' restaurant. The ingredients are fresh, and there is always a little twist to basic dishes. Katy is always lacking decent restaurant spots, but this is one you should be willing to try... for lunch at least! I have never dined here for dinner. My wife has been telling me how good this place is and I went today with her. The atmosphere is great. The restaurant is beautiful. Our server was great, very genuine and attentive. I am an executive chef and can be a pain sometimes but there was not one thing I would have changed about this meal. We started with the baked goat cheese which was one of if not the best appetizer I have had in Houston. I had the salmon wedge salad. It was fantastic. Everything was seasoned to perfection. I am so happy Local Table is open! Finally, great food with awesome service in Katy!! I have been twice in the 2 days it has been open. The first day I went with my friend and our kids. I ordered the Baja Chicken Wrap, it was amazing!! My friend is vegan and had no problem finding options for her to eat. The second day I brought my husband and I got the California Chicken Sandwich and he got the Gyro Plate. They were both very flavorful!!! When you go to Local Table for lunch you order at the counter and your food and drinks are brought out to you when you choose a table. The owner told me that in the evening it is full service. The restaurant is really clean and so are the bathrooms. The owner also told me that they would be starting brunch soon, which I'm super excited about! read more

What an incredible surprise! This extension of Hungry's took over a space where other restaurants had failed. Our server, Joshua, knew his menu and made some great recommendations! I had Mama's meatloaf and Agee had the Honey basted Salmon. Both had completely cleaned plates. The Wedge Salad was large and with plenty of chopped bacon and tomatoes. Ended up with the Croissant Bread Pudding. Restaurant was a bit loud, but it was packed. Sidewalk dining was full too! Very reasonable pricing, great service, and guess what....these people really CARE about your dining experience. We shall return. read more

This place never fails to impress. We brought extended family that was in town for weekend and they absolutely loved to food. On top of great food the atmosphere and service is second to none. The owners are always on the floor meeting customers and helping when it is needed. We haven't had a bad dish, but I highly recommend the meatloaf. So much promise. Katy denizens are starved (yes, a restaurant metaphor) for a non-chain offering that is actually tasty and a good value. This place almost makes it happen. The food is good, if inconsistent. We have dined there a couple of times and it seems as though they are trying really hard, but can't seem to keep it nailed down. Many of the items are "imported" from the owner's Hungry's restaurant menu and some are unique to this establishment. We'd like to see this place succeed because having a nice spot to brunch, lunch or sup is needed. They've been open for months, so we'll hope that our desire for the kitchen stepping up their game is not a waste of time. Pro Tip: Do *not* order Sangria by the carafe. The by-the-glass method is a much better value. We pointed this out to our waitress and she did the quick math and agreed... She also said she would talk to the manager about getting the menu adjusted in the future. Hasn't happened, so stick with the glass. read more

Manager was a friendly handsome gentleman. We were seated right away. Waiter was attentive kept the beer flowing. I had the lamb gyro very tender and flavorful. The tzatziki sauce was fresh. The French fries has just the right amount of seasoning. Oppose to my husband who said the hamburger meat had no flavor but his Swiss burger looked so good to me. Fun atmosphere. Great location, adequate parking, and friendly staff. For a Friday night it was a little slow which made me skepitcal, but I was wrong. Our waiter was very attentive, she checked w/ us every so often to make sure we were ok and didn't need anything. We waited about 15mins for the food to come out, which was fine bc all four dishes were brought out @the same time and everything was hot, as it should be. I had momma's meatloaf w/ 2 glasses of prosecco. The food was delicious! I ate every morsel, it was that good! Their frozen margaritas are very tasty too. The other dishes ordered include the Baja Wrap and the Chipotle Burger, all were devoured. For the price you get a nice portion that will leave you full. After being 'land locked' all week and eating more soup than normal for a week, my husband and I ventured out. Local Table has always been a favorite, fresh food and prepared well. With Covid, our normal Local Table meal is take out. Last night we decided to dine in the restaurant . They exceeded expectations!! First of all, the tables were set with real napkins, real cloth napkins, and actual salt and pepper shakers on the table. None of this little sample salt/pepper paper things. There was a full menu, everything was available. Our waiter, Saul, was terrific, checking with us, making sure we were satisfied with service, the meal, everything. I love Local Table and am happy to have them in the area. I've dined in twice and had great experiences, but I order through Favor at least twice a month. The kale salad with chicken is my favorite dish because it is the exact same as my fav kale salad from Hungrys Cafe. I've noticed that the salad at both restaurants has recently decreased in size and that cabbage (or some other light colored vegetable) has been added to it, perhaps to reduce the amount of kale that is in the salad. This has changed the taste of the salad and had made it less appealing. Although the portion size decreased, the price remains the same ($13 w/o protein plus $6 for chicken). I used to justify a nearly $20 salad by having it for two meals, but with the smaller portions now, that just won't fly. Plus it doesn't taste the same. I hope they return the salad back to how it was before or I hope to find another menu item that I love as much as that salad. The Rustica Pizza and Black Bean Soup are other dishes that I enjoy here, along with the Frose. read more

I have gone from being willing to try this place to having them deliver meals to my house sometimes as much as twice a week. Literally everything I have ordered has been awesome. Worst experience ever service wise. I took my whole office to lunch amounting to 8 of us. We arrived went to be seated outside, escorted by a hostess, then were forced to getup because another hostess stated the table was already reserved. This demonstrated a clear lack of Class on the restaurants part, a clear lack of Management, and highlighted multiple training issues. I tried to explain to the Owner who asked about my review when we were leaving the restaurant. He had only been told half the story and was uninformed that we went to multiple tables before being sat down. read more

First visit and food was OK. I got the gyro pita that comes with Cajun fries. The first fries I got didn't have hardly any seasoning so the nice waiter brought me another batch. They had more seasoning but still seemed bland. The gyro was good but I am a tough customer because I've had some phenomenal gyros...so the bar is high. Was it the best? No, but I would order it again. My husband had the gyro plate and he just wasn't too excited about it. BEWARE OF GLASS! Was very excited to visit Local Table for Fathers Day brunch but within the first 10 min. of being seated our server dropped a wine glass in front of us & with shards of glass all over the table and floor was actually hesitant to replace our carafe of white sangria that was most certainly tainted with glass! I actually had to go in the bathroom to wash glass off my hands. I asked to speak with a manager who never showed up at our table! Disappointing, but accidents happen so we gave them another try for dinner this evening. I actually took a drink out of my glass this evening & cut my lip! They served my drink in a broken glass!This time the manager actually came over to our table & didn't even seem to care! Didn't even offer to cover the drink! We loved the fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The baked chèvre was addictive, the quinoa salad hearty and the gyro plate delicious. They also have a nice beverage selection, alcohol or non. The ambience was lively, a great place to also take the family. The kid drink portions were just right. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating.
