When I'm craving Mediterranean food, Fadi's is always one of my go-to spots. There are several locations around Houston, but I especially like this Katy Freeway location because it offers weekday specials that provide excellent value. Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., they offer a lunch special with one kebab and two sides for $17. They also have a happy hour Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with one kebab and two sides for $15, which is a great deal. The kebab options typically include chicken, beef, lamb, or shrimp. To my knowledge, the other Fadi's locations do not offer these specials. On my most recent visit, I stopped by for happy hour. While the kebabs aren't necessarily my favorite item on the menu, it's hard to beat a meal with one kebab and two sides for $15. I chose the pomegranate eggplant, fried cauliflower, and their "Mama Ganoush," a roasted eggplant dip similar to baba ganoush. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Each meal also comes with a warm pita bread that is served fresh from the oven. The ordering process is simple: grab a tray, move down the line, and choose from the foods on display before paying at the register. The staff are always friendly, and there's plenty of seating inside. If you're looking for fresh, authentic Mediterranean food in the Katy area, Fadi's is an easy recommendation. read more

So I've actually never gone into this restaurant. It comes to me by delivery. But it's always very fresh and a food is outstanding. So I really can't comment on the ambience. I usually get the beef fillet wrap and it has a very good grilled taste and worth the price. read more

It's a big disappointment. The quality went down. One of the spread tasted so off. I think it's spoiled? The beef with potatoes is served cold/below room temperature? The biggest turn off was the pita bread. The last time I came was 1+ year ago and the pita breads were to die for. I'm not sure if they had lowered the quality since then. Very sad. Whenever I'm craving fresh, healthy Mediterranean food, Fadi's is always my go-to. I stopped by for my usual order: the lamb shank with three half-size sides. For the sides, I chose Fadi's hummus, which was incorporated with mushrooms and onions; the chipotle baba ganoush, which had a subtle kick of spice and my absolute favorite--the pomegranate eggplant. The eggplant was tender with just a slight hint of sweetness! The lamb shank itself was good, very tender meat with vegetables, served alongside a good portion of rice. It was more than enough food for one person. The meal also comes with a piece of pita bread, either wheat or white, which you choose when ordering. The total came out to around $25. While I remember this dish being closer to $18 several years ago, inflation has pushed prices up everywhere, and for the quality and quantity of food, it still feels worth it. I used to always add a piece of baklava, but with a tighter wallet this time, I skipped dessert. That said, their baklava is truly delicious, and I'm sure I'll be back to enjoying it again someday. read more

Restaurant was very spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. Food and drinks: This location has the biggest selection of various foods by far. Everything was fresh, flavoursome, well seasoned and elegantly presented not to mention very testy. Desserts are very good too. You can choose tea, coffee, or soft drinks to accompany your meal. Their chicken shawarma wraps are always moist and flavorful, and do not skip out on the roasted, almost caramelized, cauliflower! Roasted rosemary potatoes and delicious variations of hummus! Fadi's in Houston is towards I believe the West side... there's a couple of this place, but this one was on its way towards Katy, if I'm not mistaken. I've never been, but I was told by my work colleagues that this was the place to get your mediterranean food, and boy were they right. They set it up similar to a cafeteria style, where you order your protein, and so on, and then you go through a line as you order your salads and so on. If you want it, just order it and ... bam.... you'll get it for your tray. The restaurant is very brightly lit, and clean - and you basically just order, find a table to sit, and eat. Don't super remember what I ordered, outside of the fact that there was really good hummus with rice. lol. But it definitely was good food, and you were able to chat (no loud music or anything) so that was pleasant especially when having dinner with work colleagues. Definitely would stop by Fadi's again now that I know this place exists! read more

Um... wow. Not really sure where to begin here. Came in here after being stuck at the eye dr for 3.5 hours and was not prepared for this experience. I was just hungry and wanted kabobs. This is my first time to Fadi's as a recommendation from someone in the dr office. There was no mention of the type of establishment this was, just a place with good eats. And it totally is very yummy. But for someone's first visit here, I can see how this can get confusing. It was very rushed, with minimal communication. It was almost like a cafeteria line and if you try to check out all the options they have, you're holding up the line. Not a fan of this arrangement. I would almost prefer the buffet style where you take your seat, order your drink then go back up after perusing a bit. I had no idea what was available down the line as it was my first time here. Experience aside, the food was good but I'm not sure it would replace my current go-to for Mediterranean food. I wasn't a big fan of the warm pickles and missed the crunch of cucumber. My chicken shawarma was tender and had good flavor. This dish came with a creamy garlic sauce where I am accustomed to receiving white sauce. The pita was fresh and amazing and the salads/sides we tried were all enjoyable. May consider returning now that we know what to expect but definitely not ideal for a first time visit. read more

Dead on arrival. I should have just walked out before waiting for pita that never came. At 12:45 no pita bread. Impossible to enjoy my dish with cold pita chips. The pita maker couldn't care less. I end up just walking away from 90% of my meal. No Fadi meal it good without the hot pita. That is what they are know for but said at least 6x. 5 minutes. Then 8 minutes. I don't see myself coming back anytime soon. If I do and no pita bread. Im walking out because they lied. Sad. Another restaurant gone down hill. read more

This review is 5/5 for the food and 3/5 for the service for reasons similar to what folks have already mentioned. Food: My family got the family platter with chicken shawarma, which was a huge portion, some of which we ended up taking home with us. It comes with three sides (or six half sides), ranging from dips (a variety of hummus and other sauces) to salads (including chicken salad, tabbouleh, salmon salad), and the portions are generous as well. Service: You order the entrees at the front counter, they load up the sides along a long line down the side of the store cafeteria-style, check out at the opposite counter, then you wait for your actual entree for quite some time while you eat your pita and sides. They state there's a 15-20 min wait for kabobs, but that should probably be extended to all entrees when they're busy. It's a bit of a confusing system. Some employees are kind and some less so. First time back at fadi's after a few years. The last time my family came, we came with our older sister who knew how to order, but this time we were on our own. We got 2 premium combos. You're supposed to order your meats at the very first counter, but the employee did not make that clear to us, and we were just lost. Even when my brother told him which meat he wanted, he didn't say anything or give us anything, which made us think we had to order elsewhere. I tried to grab one of the numbers, and all he said was no. That was frustrating. I ended up asking another family behind me for clarification, and they were super kind and helpful!! I went back to the front to order the meats, but my dad called me back over because he ordered it with the cashier. All the sides we got for both plates included the pesto pasta, chicken salad, hummus, and yogurt with cucumber. We got a side of pita as well. Fan favorite was the chicken salad, which had apples and cranberries dispersed throughout. I really enjoyed the pesto pasta- didn't taste dry or bland at all. Had a great flavor! We basically almost ate all our sides before the meat came out. The sign says it should take between 15-20 minutes, but it took 25 minutes for us. Understandable since we did come at one of the busiest times. People were walking around trying to find an open spot to sit at. I was worried the beef filet kabob was going to be on the tougher side, but it was so juicy, tender, and flavorful! Would definitely get this meat again. The dish itself tasted great in combination with the sauce and dips. Food was delicious. Service could be better. There is usually enough parking spots available in the lot. The food is superb. The customer service is great. The restaurant space is huge with plenty of seating and kept fairly clean. The meats were overly salted but cooked very well. Some of the meat quality wasn't all that great, 2 of 3 lamb chop pieces were tough to chew. Plenty of sides to choose from and the pita bread is constantly being made, so wait for hot ones if you would like. We visit around 3-4 times a year. The service was very bad and slow. It tools thirty five minutes to get the gyro then it was smaller and not the same!!! It was very dirty and they did not have enough staff to clean the tables and pick up the trash. When we went up to tell them that we had all been done eating and we needed the gyro they said "ok so." Fadi's is always a wonderful experience for us. By design, the cafeteria design encourages you to order, perhaps, a bit too much. All the choices makes this a bit inevitable. So many dips, and salads, and veggies, and proteins, and desserts! You will want to try them all! Pro tips: You can order the dips and salads as half portions (so that you can order more variety!). You should also avoid trying to come in toward the close of the restaurant. Things will not be at their best and you could wind up a bit disappointed. read more

The sweet gal at the register, Mia, was super patient and very helpful as ordering can be overwhelming for newbie! She asked us questions to make sure we got what we wanted to order! Looking for a new Mediterranean restaurant since most of the Zoe's have been converted to Cava I've always seen this place but never stopped by. I went on a Friday night. It was busy but the staff was so kind and very helpful with helping make a decision. There are soooooo many options that I was overwhelmed lol I ended up getting a chicken kabob with rice, wheat pita (free with meal) and 4 half sides (Fadi's hummus, quinoa salad, Greek salad, and baba ghanoush). Details are below. Total came to about $27. Portions are great. I had enough food to last 3 days (still watching on the hummus and baba now lol). I haven't encountered such a kind group of staff in a while. They were really helpful and so nice. I was a bit indecisive since they had so many options, but they were patient with me. I will definitely be back. I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pictures, my bad . Kabobs - (4/5) Chicken was super tender! Made to order. Garlic sauce was excellent. Fadi's hummus - (5/5) some of the best hummus I've had. I have nothing more to say on this, just do yourself a favor and get the full size. Quinoa Salad - (5/5) Tried this on a whim.
