Yelp should really consider .5 ratings because this place was a 3.5. Yes, we came on Mother's Day so our expectations were adjusted accordingly. We made reservations and were seated right away. Our waiter was friendly but busy. Being a Sunday night, we ordered our drinks and food right away - our group ordered Crab Cakes, California Chicken Sandwich, Gyros Pita, Mama's meatloaf and Mushroom Pizza. Let's start with the good - Mushroom pizza with a fried egg - delicious and perfect. The sauce they use, the perfectly cooked sunny side up egg, fresh arugula, hint of red pepper - serious perfection (rating: 5+). Gyros Pita - came with fries, it was a good pita, flavorful meat but we all prefer our fries a little crisper than the soft ones we got (rating: 4). Mama's meatloaf - it was okay - it was what the menu said, "Your Mama's meatloaf" - took you back to your childhood, served with decent mashed potatoes and green beans (rating: 3.5). Crab cakes - way too much breading for our taste (see picture). Usually when you order crab cakes, you want to see some crab on the outside. The greens, corn salsa and chipotle chili sauce definitely elevated this item (rating: 3). Most disappointed in the California Chicken sandwich. If an item comes with tomato, onion, and shredded lettuce, it should mention on the menu as the person in our group would have requested none of those items. What the menu DID mention is that is came with provolone, avocado and honey habenero aioli - and TWO of those items were left off and had to be requested. The tomato (which we didn't want) made the bun incredibly soggy while we had to wait for our other condiments. We ate here 3 times in 1 weekend. Everything we had was delicious except for the flavored lemonades. This has become our after church brunch spot. Migas were great and their black beans had great flavor. My husband loves the croissant French toast and the waffles are typically light and airy. Brrr so cold! I wish I would've brought a jacket. I wasn't the only one holding my body keeping in as much heat as I could lol. They sat my friend and I next to a giant party with babies aghhh and the server kept bumping my chair and did not apologize, rude. Once the party left we had a more pleasant experience. I ordered a Mimosa flight which comes preset with one raspberry strawberry and original for $10 (sold on this yassss). Looks like they use puree for the two flavored glasses. The strawberry flavor was more of an essence than fully flavored and did have a nice pop of color. Raspberry was subtle with a tart finish. The manager came by to check on the table prior to ordering food which was a nice touch. We ordered a salmon wrap and a chicken wrap based off the server's recommendation. The wraps were accompanied by a wedge salad topped with tomatoes and ranch on the side. The salmon was so tasty, nicely glazed with honey. The chicken wrap was also tasty but I think it had a smidge too much black beans the portions were off but still very yummy! I liked this place I'm surprised I had not been before. I normally love the place but left today crying with my 3 small children. Arrived around busy lunch time and waited patiently. The hostesses and a waitress were very nice offering my children drinks. After 30 minutes, myself and my 1,3, and 5 are placed at the ONLY table that is in the Sun. All other tables are completely shaded. My kids like to go to an indoor playground near local table so we often stop in for a late lunch. Always great service and selection. We are vegetarian so I appreciate the options. Want to start off by saying the customer service was really good and when our order wasn't good, they gave us a free dessert. 5 stars on that. But the food...not good. I got the Margherita pizza and it was a mouth full of oil. I've never had to give back my food before at a restaurant but I had too. I then got my second choice which was the shrimp tacos and it was so bland and just...terrible. A crazy about of cabbage and a tiny amount of sauce. It's like they took three pieces of shrimp and cut it up into little bites to make it look like you were getting more but you weren't. For $14 I expected the tacos to be way bigger. Plus the side of black beans was extremely tiny and you can tell that the black beans were fresh out the can. Zero flavor in anything. My husband got a chicken wrap which also had no flavor. He said the size salad had more flavor. And then our free dessert tasted like something they got out of the freezer and reheated. Sit at the bar and their menu has A LOT of vegetarian options so I think great, surely some of these items can be modified to be vegan. Ask the bartender and he isn't sure so he asks the manager or owner and he comes back with no, nothing can be made vegan... you've got to be kidding me. Not the hummus? Not the salads? After waiting to make it to a weekend brunch to try Local Table's Eggs Benedict, I was greatly disappointed in the food and the service. My wife and I have been working to find the best Eggs Benedict and Katy and this is definitely not it. She had the traditional Eggs Benedict and I had the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. Both had eggs that were basically hard boiled (see images). The flavor on the crab cakes was excellent, but with no running egg yolk I can't really call it Eggs Benedict, it left the ciabatta bread really dry. The hollandaise sauce was really runny as well and almost no existent. I tried to ask the waiter if that is just how they made the eggs there, to see if it was a chef screw up or the actual way they make it but he just walked off. Local Table is an American restaurant that focuses on sourcing their food locally. My husband and I met my in-laws for dinner while we were in town recently. My father in law is on a heart friendly diet and I'm on weight watchers so this place was ideal for weight concessions patrons while still having some yummy sounding pizza and comfort foods like meatloaf. When we arrived my inlaws were already seated and my mother in law had already ordered an appetizer of hummus which came with the tradition pita and veggie for dipping. The hummus was so great my mother in law ordered a second round for the table. I order the Mediterranean Salmon which was grilled salmon topped with feta and guacamole with a side of rice and steamed seasonal veggies. Not sure Mediterranean Salmon is what I'd name a dish with guacamole as a main component. Also I thought the combo was a little odd but it was yummy! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the rice was tasty. The service was great. We were attentively waited on and requests quickly fulfilled. The price was a little high for most restaurants but probably on par for locally sourced ingredients. My only pet peeve is that 5 out of the 9 "Mains" had a some sort of protein that came with rice and seasonal veggies. Since this would be the section I'd mainly order from, rice and veggies would get old. Maybe some imagination with the sides would be nice. read more

I've been here three times and have enjoyed each time. The black beans and orzo is my favorite so far but the chicken salad sandwich was also very good. A larger selection of draft beer would be nice but what they do have is good.
