(top) yuzu, original, salted caramel; (bottom) mango sticky rice (seasonal), pistachio cream, Belgian chocolate
    Sally Z.

Service: 4.4/5 Food: 4.8/5 Price: $4.50-5.50 each Definitely a fair weather activity, considering it's literally a pick-up window with a few outdoor tables + a bench. The rest of their storefront consists of large windows looking into the kitchen, letting you watch the bakers make your treats. The short line + friendly staff made ordering a breeze! Clarifying point for all the Asians! These are pasteis de natas, meaning crispy, flaky pastry crusts + runny custard fillings. + in Lisbonata's case, the crust is slightly burnt, giving a charred flavor + the custard is literally flowing out of the pastry. They're not your typical Portuguese egg tarts! Additionally, they partner with another small business to sell burritos, which I didn't try because I already ate + they were sold out. Not sure if this is just a weekend thing. What I Ordered: - original: perfectly runny, not too sweet, could consume many - yuzu: really refreshing + unexpectedly good - pistachio cream: my taste buds did not catch any pistachio, but my friend was impressed; crushed topping adds a chewy texture - salted caramel: as a standalone, good balance, but if you're eating multiple, it becomes too sweet, extra runny sauce - belgian chocolate: perfect amount of chocolate - mango sticky rice: best incorporation of this flavor i've tried. custard takes a backseat, could use more mango

Lisbonata is a small to-go window, offering different flavors of pastis de nata, from raspberry to yuzu, salted caramel to Belgian chocolate. I tried the tart with pistachio filling. The base was flaky and layered, the filling oozing with custard. The textures were certainly accurate to the egg tarts originating in Lisbon. (And I can say that with certainty as someone who's been there myself!) The pistachio flavor came through strongly, and although that's the whole point of it, I found that the flavor wasn't for me, wishing, in the end, that I had stuck to the original instead. Nonetheless, that's more a matter of preference and doesn't speak to the quality of these well-executed tarts. I invite anyone within the area to try Lisbonata. It certainly took me back to my time in Portugal.

Love this spot! Ube cheesecake special was incredible. Also loved the yuzu flavor and passionfruit and ruby chocolate special. Original was also solid though I think Joey bats does a better one. Will be back for more special flavors!

I'm rarely impressed by desserts but these were soooo good, probably the best Portuguese tarts I've had. Crust is perfectly thin and crisp. Gets a bit messy but worth it. Line looked a bit crazy on Saturday around 2:30pm but it actually moved pretty fast.

If you want Portuguese pastries made fresh daily with a side of espresso then this spot is for you . Service is 1st come 1st , their special menu is hard to get , when they run out , try again the next day, but their pastries is definitely must try 6 flavors, ready to go in a set box, flavor able custard with a burned crisp bottom . Portion is the right side for tea time. No dine in, located on the side of a block , parking is hard to find , atmosphere noise , I drove from Westchester county to Bklyn for their goods. Worth it, they even have merchandise for sell. I happen to drop by on Thursday as street start at 11:30. So there's parking in front of the bakery . That's all the time that's needed , no more than 10 mins to order /pay/ served.

Quick service but the pasteis de nata was very underwhelming. I ordered the chai flavor and it was undercooked so the custard was falling out of the tart. It was also ice cold when I got it, and I ate it right outside the shop. There's some seating outside and a window for pickup. Not a great pasteis de nata and def not worth a trek

Lisbonata is a fantastic spot in Crown Heights if you're craving Portuguese egg tarts (pastéis de nata) but don't want to trek to Chinatown. It's a walk-up window with a few outdoor seats, perfect for grabbing a box or enjoying a treat on the spot. The tarts themselves are excellent--the crust is flaky, buttery, and crisp, while the custard is silky smooth, creamy; not overly sweet and no heavy eggy aftertaste, which I really appreciate. If it's your first time, go for the original--it's as close as you'll get to Lisbon in Brooklyn. But Lisbonata shines with its creative flavors: pistachio with a hint of orange blossom, salted caramel, yuzu, and Belgian chocolate. Each flavor adds a fun twist while staying true to the classic. The pistachio and yuzu are personal favorites, though honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Service is quick and friendly, and they'll even give you tips on reheating if you take a box home (which you should--these make amazing gifts or party desserts). Just note that because the custard is extra creamy, they're best enjoyed the same day, as the crust will tend to become soggy the following day. The only downside for me is the price. At $4.25 each[1], these are significantly pricier than Chinatown's $1.50-$2.25 range[2]. That said, the egg tarts are truly excellent, and the creative flavors, quality, and care make Lisbonata a unique gem worth the splurge. --------------------------------------------- [1] You save some $ if you buy by the bulk: 4 for $16, 6 for $23, and 12 for $44. [2] You can get an excellent Portuguese egg tart for $1.50 at Harper's Bread House: https://www.yelp.com/biz/harpers-bread-house-inc-new-york

It was such a pleasant surprise to find that Lisbonata had their own brick-and-mortar location! I remember really enjoying one of their classic pastel de nata at the farmer's market, but now I don't have to wait for the weekend to grab a little sweet treat. The cafe is tucked away on the side of Saint John's Pl, off busy Franklin Av. It's mostly grab and go, with some limited seating outside. The pasteis are as delicious as I remembered them-- silky, creamy, pudding-soft custard center encased in a flaky pastry shell. They're even better if you grab one fresh out the oven. If you're not eating them right away, I highly recommend reheating them at home right before enjoying. Of the flavors I have tried thus far, I find myself gravitating towards the fruit flavored ones like yuzu and raspberry. The little pop of zestiness helps keep the otherwise decadent dessert from being too indulgent.

Quick window service. Lot's of pasteis de nata varieties to choose from. I went with the classic and the pistachio. I need to try more! They were divine. They added cinnamon on time and I think I transcended.

Been waiting to try this place out! Never had a Pastéis de Nata but it was tasty! Loved the custard filling and the flaky crust. My favorite was the Yuzu and the chocolate. Service was quick and friendly. The matcha refresher I had was perfect for a hot day. My boyfriend had the raspberry matcha and he enjoyed that too. It's just a walk up counter now but they do have some stools outside.

The custard just needs to be thicker but the flavors were on point!

It was the first time here, we actually in town for an event, so we decided to give them a chance! Full disclosure my husband is Portuguese and we ate a million Pastel de Natas in Portugal! You order at the window and they are made fresh right there! We ordered original ones and a cortado! They have sitting outside if you want. They were nice and warm and my god so flaky! The flavors were on point! Delicious, the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the (nata)/custard needs to be thicker! It was to watery, so as you bite into it the custard goes all over! The service was quick and very friendly! Glad we took the time to try them out! Now I miss

Absolutely delicious! I loved visiting Lisbonata back when they used to be at the farmer's market in Park Slope and was so excited to hear about their storefront. Exceptional freshly baked pastel de natas at $4/each. The crust is so nice, thin, and crispy and the custard is smooth and creamy. I was really partial to their raspberry flavor. These are so easy and great to share with others, I'd highly recommend a visit!

Yum egg tarts reminds me of the ones on the beach Lisbon boardwalk. Fast window service , prices reasonable for the quality. We got 6 and ate them in 5 min. Pistachio was the best but like chocolate as well

The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely.
