The space is intimate and inviting, with warm décor that makes you want to linger. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, plus a charming open-air courtyard in the back that adds to the atmosphere. We enjoyed a few cocktails, some delicious food, and dessert, and everything was wonderful. It was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. If I'm ever back in town, I'll definitely be returning. A lovely little gem that I'd happily recommend!

The beef kebab was better, with a good portion of meat and rice, and the accompanying vegetables weren't too bad either. One disappointment for me was the lack of a proper hot sauce. Something with a little heat and flavor would have paired really well with both the shawarma and kebab and, for me, would have elevated the meal. Overall, the food was good and the ambiance was pleasant. Service was also good for the most part, although I was disappointed that we weren't asked if we were interested in dessert before wrapping up the meal. Al Badawi is probably a place I would try again, but not one I'm in a rush to return to anytime soon.

Imagine she had to watch me eat my entire meal and hers didn't come. When I mentioned it he said she didn't order. The food wasn't as fresh or good as it was in the past . It was not worth it. The hostess had a few of her teenage friends visiting her at her station. Those friends were not employees or patrons. They were obnoxiously loud and aggressive in their tone of voice. It was extremely distracting to me I was unable to enjoy my meal. If I didn't look at her she would not have asked her friends to lower it down . I at one time recommended this over and over again. Now don't waste your time or money . It went down hill with food and customer service. I had multiple occasions here in the past not any more ..

I have been a longtime patron of Liman, and while the culinary excellence remains intact, I must note that the recent move to a new location has brought about a few changes. The menu, as always, features an impressive array of fresh and delicious seafood dishes that showcase the restaurant's commitment to quality. The flavors are still exceptional, and the chefs continue to deliver a memorable dining experience. The new ambiance, while different, has its own charm, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. However, there's a subtle sense of nostalgia for the previous location that some patrons, including myself, might miss. Service remains attentive and friendly, and the staff has managed the transition well. Despite the changes, Liman retains its reputation for serving top-notch seafood. In summary, Liman maintains its four-star rating, primarily due to its consistently outstanding cuisine. While the new location brings a different vibe, it would be fantastic to see the establishment settle into its new home and perhaps recapture some of the unique charm that made the original location special. read more

This is my go to place for great Turkish food, seafood specifically when I'm in the Brooklyn area. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious. The St Peters fish outstanding I prefer mine grilled you can get it pan fried also. I also prefer it whole, but they will de-bone it if you ask them to. The fish is so fresh and it practically melts in your mouth. The lamb kebabs, shrimp, and Octopus salad are just a few of my favorites. The hummus is very good too. I usually pass on dessert, and get a cup of Turkish coffee instead. I've only had the Baklava and it was pretty good. I've had better. Some may consider the food overpriced. I disagree. The food is fresh and consistently good. It's no hit or miss with me. It does get very crowded and quite loud at times. If you can get past that you're in a for a treat. Although it looks like an old shack from the outside, as soon as you walk in the show starts and I mean show. Service: the best I had polite and fast ( cold appetizers came right out) our waiter was pleasant and smiling all the time. Appetizers: go for the cheese puff pastry called " Burek" unreal with a touch of yogurt sauce. my main course I ordered branzino which is my favorite the plates came within 25-30 min and the place was very busy so they really got their thing going. everything was well cocked and tastefully served. Awful service and mediocre(not cheap) food. The setting itself was very pretty and the lamb shish was delicious, but otherwise the food was nothing special. Our waiter didn't even bother to make eye contact when taking our order. Another waitress rolled her eyes in front of us when we simply asked for sauce. The only time our waiter seemed semi-interested was when we were signing the check. This is the first time we decided not to leave a tip because we all truly felt their service did not deserve the tip. Our waiter watched us sign the check and ran after us on our way out to ask "you didn't include a service fee?" to which we answered "no, we didn't, because we are really unhappy with the service today." Needless to say, I don't believe this restaurant is worth your time, unless you want sub par service and food. read more

Literally the worst place I could ever imagine. Never have i ever come across a poorly organized restaurant with beyond terrible service. I honestly believe that everyone person who speaks well of this poor excuse of a restuarant, is paid to leave good reviews. The menu is complete garbage with little options to choose from, and the disrespectful waiters will literally talk trash to you in another language. I highly recommend never to step foot in this restuarant. They also told a friend of mine they weren't going to serve her of she did not pick a main entre/me at dish, which is unimaginable and inexcusable. watch out if you try to go to this place on the weekend. many cars are double-parked and its impossible to get by. if a car is out in the street and preventing you from passing,all the cars behind you start to lean hard on their horns. If you ask a driver to move his car so you can pass, it may be a lunatic who charges your car,threatens to pull you out of your car window if you don't get out of your car,grabs the seat belt through your open window and tries to force you out of your car so he can assault you. all this just to get into this restaurant- its hardly worth going,even if the food is great. does the restaurant take responsibility for any of this chaos and mayhem they are causing ? Nothing short of 5 star service, I went with my hubby last sat after a long time that we did not go to liman's, some would say that after a long time out you are sure to say everything is great, but it truly was. We got a great sit in the new section and phati are regular was our waiter, the food came fast and fresh as ever. The one change we did make to our order was artichoke with beans as an apetizer and it was perfectly coocked and served. Our fried beranzino came on que and everything was just perfect, I forgot how much I missed this place. When you want to enjoy a true authentic Turkish meal you must go to liman. The Half pan fried have grilled St.Peter is extraordinary. The Sheppard salad has such immense flavor and is completely balanced. The yogurt sauce is not the best (I still prefer Sahara's) but the meat is cooked to perfection and the fish is moist. Yes you might feel a little cluster phobic due to the small booth seating, but then again it feels natural and part of its ambiance. We are extremely disappointed with this place! Strongly recommend to avoid it. I've been there once, but forgot to leave a bad review. Now I finally fixed this gap. The prices are extra high for very low quality food, I don't want even start talking about service. The only thing that saves this place is a nice view. But, believe me, even it wont help. Horrible! It was packed beyond belief! They couldn't handle so many people, both waiting on them and in the kitchen. Waiter kept disappearing and was sweaty and irritated the whole time. Food, both appetizers and main course, was coming out very slowly and when it did one order was wrong, 2 were undercooked and one was way over cooked. Manager came over, looked at it and did absolutely nothing about it. And it was definitely NOT CHEAP AT ALL!!!!!!!! Doubt I'll ever go back. :( read more

As far as good Turkish restaurants go this one is one of the best. Food was excellent, the restaurant's description is currently a seafood restaurant, but their seafood and kebabs are both equally good. On the way out we were given a cute tin of mints apiece. The caesar salad was huge-it served the three of us easily but was different from a usual caesar salad- would have liked croutons. There was avocado on it and I asked for it on the side-there was a huge amount. Was it expensive-for sure. Was it worth it for a special occasion-absolutely.

A few days…read morein advance, we arranged for our group to use our own audio so we could enjoy lunch while watching the World Cup Final. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. When our group of 17 people arrived, everything was different from what had been agreed. The restaurant kept its background music on, making it impossible to hear the game commentary or follow what was happening on the field. Besides our group, there were only about 8 other people in the restaurant, and none of them objected to us listening to the match. Our audio was kept at a low volume, much quieter than the restaurant's music. To make matters worse, at lunchtime several dishes listed on the menu were unavailable. Our visit was disappointing. While a few dishes were good, much of the food was average and not worth the price. What stood out even more was the service. The staff was not welcoming or friendly, and they seemed unwilling to accommodate a reasonable request that had been arranged in advance. Instead of making us feel like valued guests, they made us feel like an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the combination of average food, poor hospitality, and the failure to honor our reservation arrangements means we won't be returning.

The kompot was great it was nice and sweet and flavorful. The service was nice the waiters were really attentive. The ambiance was just a classic Russian/uzbek restaurant. Then there was a loud argument because the delivery guy was waiting about 30 minutes after being told that it'll be ready in 5 minutes. No respect for someone's time and job. I hate when people are trying to do their jobs and someone sabotages them. Apparently it's not the 1st time. And hungry people at home are also getting bad service and long wait. Overall, it put stress on everyone. Ruined many people's evening. I regret not leaving earlier and gone somewhere else. I feel like they were giving good service and respect to their countrymen in the restaurant, but not to people of other nationalities and races. Do they deliberately sabotage food and timing because they don't want us to return?! Are they deliberately delaying the delivery orders to get delivery guy to lose his job? It' seems to be happening a lot from the Uzbek halal restaurants. Too much of a coincidence. Will not recommend them to anyone. I wonder if the owner cares about losses in revenues or he's a bigot. Very disappointing.
