Miriam has always been great, we've been coming here for 4 years, but they keep changing the menu. Every time we come now it's different which I understand to a certain extent but we also come for the dishes we love. My husband LOVED the burek, but then they totally changed it and now it's just gone. The food is still delicious, but unpredictable of what we can / will order. The new space is beautiful and open and airy, but sadly the service has dipped. This place used to be almost too fast, we were in and out and we consistently knew we could come here and get out in a very timely manner. But now I literally had to flag down our waitress and I still didn't get her attention, another waitress came over to help us get our check. We also didn't get checked on at all, luckily our food was good and right. The table next to us didn't get greeted for water or anything so they had to flag down the guy delivering food to get a waitress. I thinkkk it may be because the wait staff is servicing here and the location next store but it's really impacted the experience. Totally understand that a lot of places are understaffed, but we've never experienced this before Miriam we love you, but pleaseeeeee stop changing the menu. read more

Two expensive and not worth it. The service was okay people were nice. Appetizers: basic potato salad had no horseraddish, dry ass beats. Tomatoes that were listed as blistered but were so not, with very fresh basil. OLIVES WERE THE BEST THING. Too much powered spice on so much. No need to drown broccoli in spice powder. Came here with friends for dinner and this place impressed us and the food was dam good. Quickly seated and waiter was so attentive and friendly. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and delicious!!!! I ordered the lamb shawarma and that was so delicious. The presentation was so great. Came out like a chicken pot pie and then the waiter started the show by cutting the bread top to expose the lamb and rice. My other party order the Miriam schnitzel and they enjoyed it. I wish I could rate this place six stars. The service, the atmosphere, the beautiful building and neighborhood... The delicious fresh food is all just simply glorious. Sometimes Mediterranean food can be way too salty. But these dishes are so flavorful without being too salty at all. I'm from out of of state and was coming into Brooklyn for the night. Was super easy to make a reservation online. We chose an earlier time because we were going to a show. We ended up being the first ones there since it was early, and before we knew it the place was packed. Our server Josephine was great. I felt bad she was waiting on so many tables and it ended up being super busy, but she was very nice and we weren't overly rushed so it was okay. We loved the drinks we got. We started off with the falafel which was amazing and the pita chips were insane. After watching social media and reading reviews I knew we needed to get the shawarma terracotta. The presentation was great and the flavor was delicious. We also got the meatballs which we liked. The hummus was incredible, but our guests said they also had never had better Labne! For dinner, each couple shared the chicken schnitzel _ a very generous portion definitely capable of feeding 2. Two large pieces of schnitzel, a generous portion of Israeli salad, beets and mashed potatoes, and the lemon curd sauce which is a star of the dish. I'm not sure how I've never reviewed this place. It's a neighborhood favorite! I've been coming here for 10 years for brunch and dinner. Besides the dining room being lovely, they have the best outdoor seating with a heater at ever table. They basically quadrupled their seating footprint with the addition of the outdoor dining, so hats off to them. Reservations are accepted, and there is always a line down the block for brunch, but it moves quickly due to the number of tables available. And of course, the food is always fantastic. Came here with my parents to celebrate my father's birthday this past Saturday and everyone really enjoyed their meals. I had the branzino, which was outstanding. My parents had the braised short rib special, which they both loved. They have a great wine and cocktail list, too. I have one request - PLEASE make a haloumi cheese appetizer!! I found this gem while in the area for a concert at the Barclay's Center, and I'm so glad I did! They had a special going on - $58 for one drink, one appetizer, and one entree, which was amazing. While they don't have a liquor license, they are extremely creative with their drinks, which use wine as the base. I chose the Spicy Pineapple Fizz, which is made with Pineapple Giffard, Lillet, Prosecco, pineapple Juice, and jalepeno. It was delicious and super refreshing! For my appetizer, I chose the Burrata and Peaches, which was made with cherry tomatoes, mint, and pistachios. Talk about fresh! It was such a great dish, especially during the summer. The mint was an amazing addition, too! My entree was the Lamb Shawarma Terracotta, which is lamb with Persian rice, almonds, and Harissa and yogurt topping sauces. It is served in a terracotta bowl topped with baked flatbread. They cut around the flat bread when they bring it to your table, and the smell is incredible! It's a huge portion for one person, so I definitely recommend you share it! My friend ordered the Sticky Lamb Spare Ribs and Grilled Branzino, both of which she thoroughly enjoyed.
