This was my second time and probably my last as I was just not overly impressed. $30.00+ for two burgers and fries. Got home and burgers were lackluster and small with little flavor. Fries were double crisped so crunchy which is how I like them but again no flavor, I tried adding salt but still seemed void of flavor. We shared onion rings, my husband got the mushroom Swiss burger and I got the original burger. The food was a bit bland, but after we added salt it was much better. Stopped at Lee's for the first time in Hammond during visit to new college. Seemed like a good spot as it was super busy. Sat down and ordered two burgers as that seemed like the best bet at a dinner. After 45 minutes the burger arrived RAW - which we ordered medium and medium rare. Both were the same RAW consistency. We asked that it be taken back and cooked and the waitress gave us a a hard time. The burger then came back again exactly the same. Next was charged for 4 onion rings at $4.95 for them as a side. My dinning partner did not eat the burger but I did. I have never been SO SICK in my entire life within an hour of eating half of the burger. Was $32.90 for two burgers, one fry, one onion right and two sodas. It has been over a month and still can't look at a hamburger much less eat one anywhere. read more

I have fond memories of eating at Lee's while attending Uno. That location has been closed since Katrina, but recently, this location opened in Covington. The burgers are not as good as I remember them. I ordered two of the works burgers (dressed with cheese), one with onions and one without. Both were delivered without onions. The burger had an odd taste, almost like meatloaf. It was ok, but not great. For sides I ordered the chili cheese fry and onion rings. The chili cheese fries were good, but the onion rings were overcooked. Another problem was the onion rings weren't in the bag, but fortunately I realized it before I went home. Hopefully this was an isolated incident, and I'm sure I will give Lee's another try. If it improves, I will update my review. read more

Ordered through Grubhub tonight, the food took an hour from the time they received the ordered to get made. Took an hour and 15 min to get it to the hotel. Also I'm not sure if it's a Lee's issue or Grubhub but when you order the combo they don't give you the option of fries or onion rings, ketchup and your drink choice. Kind of strange. Lee's claims that their burgers are the best you have ever had. For me, not really. I've had countless burgers that were better. They are not bad though. They come with mayo, ketchup, mustard, grilled onions and pickles. If you want lettuce and tomato added you'll need to upgrade and pay extra. The menu here is pretty simple. They offer burgers, a chicken sandwich, hot dogs fries and onion rings. The fries and onion rings are ok, not much flavor to the rings. Having eaten here a few times now I have learned a lesson. Dine in rather than taking your food home. The last time I was here I ordered a chicken sandwich and onion rings. The chicken came wrapped in foil and by the time I got home it was a soggy mess. The bun was sopping and there is nothing more disgusting to me than wet soggy bread. I had also asked for no cheese but they decided to put it on anyway. The time before that I was lured in by a text offering $2 off a combo. I placed my order showing the text beforehand. The girl says oh ok, you got a text. After eating and leaving the store I realized I had not received the discount. She somehow, in all of the mass confusion, had forgotten to take it off. I was the only customer in the place. Lee's hamburgers is a good greasy spoon type place. Nothing fancy but good burgers, onion rings and some seafood. My issue or call it a concern is the last several times I've come in for a "quick" lunch they are always very short handed. 2 people working the grill , handling the drive thru and the front. So needless to say it takes much longer then it used to. And because they are short handed the girl at the counter looks frustrated and acts it. Not sure why they can't get staffed up but if you are in a hurry this is not the place for lunch. It's too bad because they burgers are pretty darn good. read more

I will start by saying that the food is very good... once you finally get it. They really dropped the ball today. There's just no reason why a simple burger should take almost 40 minutes; Come on, some of us have to get back to work. I'm sympathetic to the idea that you have to take drive thru orders, but don't forget there's people in the dining room too. Not to mention, the price of my order on my bank statement, is $1.50 more than the stated total. Just because I say I don't need a receipt, doesn't mean I won't read my bank statement, and remember what my total was supposed to be. That was crooked. And to top it all off, I had said NO mayonnaise... but I guess after 40 minutes they didn't remember. I couldn't finish my lunch, and I knew that I'd be standing at the counter for 10 minutes before I could get a bag, so I walked behind the counter and got one myself. They never even noticed. Couldn't ask for a "to go" cup either, so I walked out with the cup, to make up for the $1.50 they over charged me... Normally a restaurant review will make some mention of the quality of the food served but this one won't/cannot. I placed an order online at 7:20PM and received an email confirmation at 7:21. My debit card was charged and confirmed for the order. Today's (Friday) listed hours for business are 10:30 AM til 9:00 PM. As I'm typing this, the website says they are open. I arrived at their location at 7:35 PM sharp. Doors are locked, every light is off. Whoever runs this POS store ought to be dragged outside and horsewhipped in front of everyone in the parking lot and then sent packing. After all, it's obvious that no one is interested in working and customer service is a big fat inside joke. And I see this has been going on in this manner for quite some time as just to the right of where I'm typing this I'm seeing a one star review from 10/24/21 complaining of the EXACT SAME THING. Now, I wonder what kind of hoops I'll have to jump through in order to get the charges on my debit card reversed. Lee's is an old school local burger chain that's been around forever. Growing up in Slidell as a kid the Lee's there was housed in a small wooden shed with picnic tables, outside dining only. This location stays pretty true to the traditional Lee's burger, hand molded patties fried on a flattop with loads of onions. All in all a good burger comparable to five guys or steak and shake. They also do a pretty good chili dog and offer fried shrimp and catfish poboys. read more

Let's get real about this place. Ok. First- real meat. Enough said there. Okay- prices- decent for real food and not that processed stuff some places try to pass off as real food. On a taste scale I'd give it a healthy 4. I got a double meat burger only and it was worth the price. They actually put the seasoning in the meat prior to cooking- yes you can taste the difference- yes it has some cajun flare to the flavor. I like a messy- I'm going to end up wearing some of this burger kinda burger place. Don't sleep on this place, seriously. The pictures on this site don't do it justice- it may not look pretty but I'm not hanging this burger on my wall and telling my mom i date it. I'm hungry- i want a meal. Service was superb. I meant to get the onion rings but got distracted and didn't specify them, so I got the french fries by default. The burger is adequate, much better than fast food, but you do pay for it. The wait time is getting ridiculous! I waited for 30 minutes as I am the only one in the drive through. Was about 8 minutes before they actually took my order. My order came back without the extras that come on the burger I paid for. My drink was wrong. The fries are much smaller than they used to be. Went to Lee's today. Very disappointed. I asked for carmelized onions ( something they are known for!) When the burgers were ready, my daughter walked them back to the table. I opened mine and could not see the onoions, so I went back up to ask the lady for onions, she said it would take a while to cook some, I went back after waiting 10 mins as my burger got cold, when I asked the man he said, I will warm some up it will just take a minute, Not having any idea I had asked for that before.... Another lady with an apron on comes up to tell me you can't see them cause they have cooked into the burger, so I had to say, I would like to see them. Also the tables had not been cleaned so I looked for one that looked almost clean, it was a booth and the seats were sticky. To some it up our daughter said, I would never come back here agan! We came in this evening for a quick bite with the kids and they were able to safely accommodate some food allergies in our party along with the rest of us. All of our food was absolutely delicious, zero allergy contamination issues and we are already talking about what to order next time we go back.
