We were hoping for a better experience than we had with the second ownership at their past location. The quality of the meat alone earned them this rating. The chili on the burger was dry to the point of being spread on. Sadly, the original owners are surely missed. Certainly our last visit. read more

Love lees. I have been eating lee's burgers since I was a child (veterans location). This lees isn't much different...Classic American burger! What I lol about this place is the staff and owner. He works the business and is involved so you can expect superior and home grown service. My go to spot for burgers on the NS. The place is set up nicely and is clean. read more

This was my second time and probably my last as I was just not overly impressed. $30.00+ for two burgers and fries. Got home and burgers were lackluster and small with little flavor. Fries were double crisped so crunchy which is how I like them but again no flavor, I tried adding salt but still seemed void of flavor. I have been trying to find that burger joint and this sadly was not it. If y'all change something let us know and we will try again but food needs to seasoning love! read more

Sup par, grease was old or at least tasted like it and the fries tasted like the fish and shrimp. Burger itself was ok but everything else would be better at Burger King. For a family of 4 to spend over $50 I would choose 5 guys hands down. read more

We visited the Lee's Hamburger in Covington. For an older hamburger restaurant I was truly satisfied: from the young man who took our order, the cleanliness of the restroom, the short wait time for the food, the freshness of the cooked food, even the trash can because it was easy to dispose of the trash without having to touch the can. It's the details that matter. Thank you for a very good dining experience. Melinda Mandeville, LA read more

Screw this place. Takes your online order AND MONEY and then declares themselves closed 40 mins before their posted hours. Unreal crappy customer service. They just don't care. Don't go here ever. read more

My husband and I grabbed a bite at Lee's for lunch. If there were 1/2 stars, I would give it 3 and 1/2 stars. The service was friendly. The food was fresh and hot. We shared onion rings, my husband got the mushroom Swiss burger and I got the original burger. The food was a bit bland, but after we added salt it was much better. I enjoyed it, and if I'm need of food in the area, I would go back! read more

I have fond memories of eating at Lee's while attending Uno. That location has been closed since Katrina, but recently, this location opened in Covington. The burgers are not as good as I remember them. I ordered two of the works burgers (dressed with cheese), one with onions and one without. Both were delivered without onions. The burger had an odd taste, almost like meatloaf. It was ok, but not great. For sides I ordered the chili cheese fry and onion rings. The chili cheese fries were good, but the onion rings were overcooked. Another problem was the onion rings weren't in the bag, but fortunately I realized it before I went home. Hopefully this was an isolated incident, and I'm sure I will give Lee's another try. If it improves, I will update my review. read more

Stopped at Lee's for the first time in Hammond during visit to new college. Seemed like a good spot as it was super busy. Sat down and ordered two burgers as that seemed like the best bet at a dinner. After 45 minutes the burger arrived RAW - which we ordered medium and medium rare. Both were the same RAW consistency. We asked that it be taken back and cooked and the waitress gave us a a hard time. The burger then came back again exactly the same. Next was charged for 4 onion rings at $4.95 for them as a side. My dinning partner did not eat the burger but I did. I have never been SO SICK in my entire life within an hour of eating half of the burger. Was $32.90 for two burgers, one fry, one onion right and two sodas. It has been over a month and still can't look at a hamburger much less eat one anywhere. read more

Best burger??? Looked like a Macdonald burger without the sauce and very well cooked.sweet potatoes fries seemed to be very dark. This place is off our list. For a 1st time, I do not recommend read more

Ordered through Grubhub tonight, the food took an hour from the time they received the ordered to get made. Took an hour and 15 min to get it to the hotel. Also I'm not sure if it's a Lee's issue or Grubhub but when you order the combo they don't give you the option of fries or onion rings, ketchup and your drink choice. Kind of strange. The hamburger was ok. Ordered it med well and it was definitely completely well done. Fries were good! Oh and no napkins in the bag. read more

Lee's claims that their burgers are the best you have ever had. For me, not really. I've had countless burgers that were better. They are not bad though. They come with mayo, ketchup, mustard, grilled onions and pickles. If you want lettuce and tomato added you'll need to upgrade and pay extra. The menu here is pretty simple. They offer burgers, a chicken sandwich, hot dogs fries and onion rings. The fries and onion rings are ok, not much flavor to the rings. Having eaten here a few times now I have learned a lesson. Dine in rather than taking your food home. The last time I was here I ordered a chicken sandwich and onion rings. The chicken came wrapped in foil and by the time I got home it was a soggy mess. The bun was sopping and there is nothing more disgusting to me than wet soggy bread. I had also asked for no cheese but they decided to put it on anyway. The time before that I was lured in by a text offering $2 off a combo. I placed my order showing the text beforehand. The girl says oh ok, you got a text. After eating and leaving the store I realized I had not received the discount. She somehow, in all of the mass confusion, had forgotten to take it off. I was the only customer in the place. After these last two experiences it's clear that they do not pay much attention to what is going on here. read more

Food service needs to check their meat to burgers and two fries for $30 and a stomach ache. It is not worth it.

Lee's hamburgers is a good greasy spoon type place. Nothing fancy but good burgers, onion rings and some seafood. My issue or call it a concern is the last several times I've come in for a "quick" lunch they are always very short handed. 2 people working the grill , handling the drive thru and the front. So needless to say it takes much longer then it used to. And because they are short handed the girl at the counter looks frustrated and acts it. Not sure why they can't get staffed up but if you are in a hurry this is not the place for lunch. It's too bad because they burgers are pretty darn good. read more

I will start by saying that the food is very good... once you finally get it. They really dropped the ball today. There's just no reason why a simple burger should take almost 40 minutes; Come on, some of us have to get back to work. I'm sympathetic to the idea that you have to take drive thru orders, but don't forget there's people in the dining room too. Not to mention, the price of my order on my bank statement, is $1.50 more than the stated total. Just because I say I don't need a receipt, doesn't mean I won't read my bank statement, and remember what my total was supposed to be. That was crooked. And to top it all off, I had said NO mayonnaise... but I guess after 40 minutes they didn't remember. I couldn't finish my lunch, and I knew that I'd be standing at the counter for 10 minutes before I could get a bag, so I walked behind the counter and got one myself. They never even noticed. Couldn't ask for a "to go" cup either, so I walked out with the cup, to make up for the $1.50 they over charged me... I do like the food, but more experiences like this, and I'll be going to 5 guys. read more

This place is a joke! Never open, menu unreadable, they charge more than advertised prices!!

Normally a restaurant review will make some mention of the quality of the food served but this one won't/cannot. I placed an order online at 7:20PM and received an email confirmation at 7:21. My debit card was charged and confirmed for the order. Today's (Friday) listed hours for business are 10:30 AM til 9:00 PM. As I'm typing this, the website says they are open. I arrived at their location at 7:35 PM sharp. Doors are locked, every light is off. Whoever runs this POS store ought to be dragged outside and horsewhipped in front of everyone in the parking lot and then sent packing. After all, it's obvious that no one is interested in working and customer service is a big fat inside joke. And I see this has been going on in this manner for quite some time as just to the right of where I'm typing this I'm seeing a one star review from 10/24/21 complaining of the EXACT SAME THING. Now, I wonder what kind of hoops I'll have to jump through in order to get the charges on my debit card reversed. To Lee, whoever you are...either decide you actually want to sell hamburgers and then actually follow through or pack it up and get the hell outta town. Yeah, I'm chafed!!! read more

I went today ay 7:35 pm. I drove up to the drive thru speaker to order. The man told me they closed at 8. Confused, I asked if it was too late for me to order. He told me it was because they had already turned the grill off. I couldn't even believe it. Shouldn't they turn the grill off at closing time or close earlier if they want to get out of there for 8? read more

Hamburgers here were so delicious. Service excellent, friendly staff welcoming atmosphere.

One of my favorite burger spots. Good burgers , onion rings, malts, shakes served swiftly and with great staff

Lee's is an old school local burger chain that's been around forever. Growing up in Slidell as a kid the Lee's there was housed in a small wooden shed with picnic tables, outside dining only. This location stays pretty true to the traditional Lee's burger, hand molded patties fried on a flattop with loads of onions. All in all a good burger comparable to five guys or steak and shake. They also do a pretty good chili dog and offer fried shrimp and catfish poboys. read more

As usual, I ordered my lunch to go by using the drive through window. I know, not very green of me. Ordered a burger combo. I meant to get the onion rings but got distracted and didn't specify them, so I got the french fries by default. The burger is adequate, much better than fast food, but you do pay for it. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the claim painted on the wall (or posted on their website). Not that it is bad, it just isn't the best burger I ever had. The burger might look on the small side, but it is enough meat to leave me filled which is what I want for a lunch. The fries were OK, luke warm, which tells me they had been sitting around before being scooped up for my lunch. You have to upgrade your burger if you want lettuce or tomatoes. That's extra. The menu is simple. Several burger options and a chicken sandwich; all with or without sides. read more

We were traveling and wanted a burger. Lee's did not disappoint. Hand formed patties and hand made onion rings. Sweet potato fries were crispy on outside and tender inside. Yum. Place is very clean. Let's get real about this place. Ok. First- real meat. Enough said there. Okay- prices- decent for real food and not that processed stuff some places try to pass off as real food. On a taste scale I'd give it a healthy 4. I got a double meat burger only and it was worth the price. They actually put the seasoning in the meat prior to cooking- yes you can taste the difference- yes it has some cajun flare to the flavor. I like a messy- I'm going to end up wearing some of this burger kinda burger place. Don't sleep on this place, seriously. The pictures on this site don't do it justice- it may not look pretty but I'm not hanging this burger on my wall and telling my mom i date it. I'm hungry- i want a meal. Service was superb. Fast and friendly. I will be dining again. Only thing would make it better? Maybe some sliced cheddar cheese instead of shredded? But i think you can request it. A milk shake and onion rings. Probably soon. I want to try fries next time. Try it if interested in a good burger you don't have to dress up for. read more

Good food. Fresh onion with string flavor. Chili wasn't my favorite to add to my fries but overall is a good place for an easy bite.

The wait time is getting ridiculous! I waited for 30 minutes as I am the only one in the drive through. Was about 8 minutes before they actually took my order. My order came back without the extras that come on the burger I paid for. My drink was wrong. The fries are much smaller than they used to be. The girl apologized twice for the wait, but all in all... it's getting to be not worth it anymore. If you have 30 minutes to spare & not too hungry, then come here. Very disappointing. read more

My son William works there! It's a very clean restraunt as well as has the best burgers I've ever tasted! My fave place for burgers

Went to Lee's today. Very disappointed. I asked for carmelized onions ( something they are known for!) When the burgers were ready, my daughter walked them back to the table. I opened mine and could not see the onoions, so I went back up to ask the lady for onions, she said it would take a while to cook some, I went back after waiting 10 mins as my burger got cold, when I asked the man he said, I will warm some up it will just take a minute, Not having any idea I had asked for that before.... Another lady with an apron on comes up to tell me you can't see them cause they have cooked into the burger, so I had to say, I would like to see them. Also the tables had not been cleaned so I looked for one that looked almost clean, it was a booth and the seats were sticky. To some it up our daughter said, I would never come back here agan! We have been eating Lee's for decades! read more

Lee's Hamburgers - Burgers Near Me - Covington, Louisiana

This is our first visit in this area. We are eating their shrimp po boy and hamburgers now. Everybody agree this is best burger we had in years. We are visiting New Orleans and tried many "high scored" restaurants and found most of them are not that good or even terrible. We are very disappointed for last three days. So far, Lee's Hamburger is the best and everybody in my group agrees. This is not a fast food restaurant. If you want your burger right away, try Wendy's or Burger King nearby. You have to wait, because they cook per order. I have never reviewed restaurants yet, but this one deserves better than current Yelp review scores. read more

So impressed with Lees Hamburgers staff and food. We came in this evening for a quick bite with the kids and they were able to safely accommodate some food allergies in our party along with the rest of us. All of our food was absolutely delicious, zero allergy contamination issues and we are already talking about what to order next time we go back. Very grateful who the staff that allowed my child to have a safe, enjoyable and delicious eating experience. read more
