First time here today. Very friendly staff and we had the zydeco shrimp and after the boil potatoes. My potato was delicious! Served hot and very flavorful. The other potato was the same! I didn't care for the crawfish because they had a very "muddy" taste to me. Not a reason to not try Stuffed, they have many other items on the menu and the taste of the crawfish is just my opinion. I definitely recommend to try this place and we will go back! So much other food to try!! Ask for Amber, she was an amazing and super friendly server!!

After staying in NOLA for a couple of days we wanted to try something out of town. We went to Southern Boys Outdoors and they recommended this place to us. We were definitely NOT disappointed! Some of the best food we have had all week. Service was friendly and the food was phenomenal.

Tried Stuffed on Tuesday. We arrived early so we pretty much had a choice of where to sit . Our waitress Alexis was fantastic! Great personality and very patient and helpful with our lack of knowledge on their menu. We both decided on the seafood boil potatoes . They did not take very long to come out and they were loaded with crawfish tails and sausage! But I was kinda disappointed in the size of the potatoes! With that said they were very well seasoned, although a little too spicy for our taste but good just the same . We had catfish on the side which was piping hot and very tasty! The deep fried corn on the cob that was on top was way too salty and way too spicy! But all in all everything was pretty good . If we return we will try something different next time! Still I was somewhat disappointed in that the portions looked nothing like what I had seen online but that aside it was a positive experience!

Let's start with the customer service--quick and efficient. I've only ordered to-go, but the interactions were smooth and satisfactory. The atmosphere is clean, quiet, and has a welcoming family-friendly vibe. Now, the highlight--the food. Portions are very generous, and everything was served HOT and FRESH, which left a great impression. The signature cheese sauce on the Classic Baked Potato, however, was a bit bland, so the toppings provided most of the flavor. On the other hand, the queso on the Big Philly and Zesty Zydeco Shrimp was packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the toppings. I also ordered the White Chocolate Bread Pudding (not pictured), and it was absolutely delicious! The texture of the bread pudding was perfect--not too soggy--and the sauce was excellent as well. I'm looking forward to trying more from the menu!

Honestly, there's so much potential for improvement with a little extra effort in the food. The *cheese* sauce on the fish was really oily, and diluted, which was a bit off-putting. Turning my taste buds before enjoying the entire meal. However, the potato was seasoned well, & the portion size was great for the price. It's definitely a good deal. I really enjoyed the cozy, family-owned vibe of the restaurant. The wall paint looked like it was done by a talented artist. The waitress was friendly, and knowledgeable. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, the experience was just "okay", because the lack of effort in the food ingredients brought it down a bit. I'm also not a fan of soggy food, & the fish and crawfish bread were both soggy. On the bright side, the chicken bites were delicious, and crispy. I didn't even have room to try the egg rolls because I was so full & stuffed! So, the name of the restaurant definitely lives up to its promise.

Made a to-go order recently! Definitely a huge portion but not a fan of all the greasiness in the sauce.

Service was a little slow and I didn't like that my potato came out five minutes later than my partner. Potatoes were huge. Our server was great.

The wait time after ordering was extremely long. The restaurant was practically empty. I will never go back there again.

I walked in expecting a good burger... I walked out questioning why every other burger in my life hasn't been held to this standard. From the jump, the vibe feels like what a small-town Louisiana burger spot should be: warm, welcoming, and buzzing with people who clearly know they're in for something special. You can tell the crew cares -- not just about making food, but about creating a place the community is proud of. I ordered the signature burger, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the kind of bite that makes you pause. Perfectly seasoned beef, cooked exactly how I asked, layered with toppings that taste thoughtfully chosen rather than thrown together. The bun held everything like a champ -- soft enough to enjoy, sturdy enough to keep the whole experience tidy. It's the little things, and they nail every one. The fries? Golden, salty, addictive. The kind of fries you keep eating even after you're full because "just one more" somehow becomes ten. What really stood out, though, was the service. Ponchatoula is known for its hospitality, but the folks at Toula Burger take it to another level. Genuine smiles, real conversations, and you can feel the pride they have in what they've built. It's refreshing. To the owners: Y'all created something special here. You've got a spot that feels rooted in community but tastes like it belongs on a national "must-try" list. I'd love to know more about the inspiration behind the menu -- especially what led you to craft a burger that balanced richness and freshness so perfectly. Keep doing what you're doing; the attention to detail shows. I'll absolutely be back -- and I'll be bringing people with me.

He is a burger aficionado. While the hand patted Burger is fantastic, my husband commented that every single time he has been there the fries are lukewarm. I opted for a hand battered shrimp Poboy. The batter was really good. Served freshly fried. If you're weird about veins in your shrimp, these are not deveined shrimp. The problem is that the bread to shrimp ratio is off. It's a really thick bread. The restaurant atmosphere is so quaint and homey. The staff was so friendly. I can chalk the bread thing up to personal preference but they need to do better with hot fries.

She made suggestions from the menu and had all of our food on the table at the same time. The food was very good and I highly recommend the hamburger which I ordered medium rare. The others in our group ordered other items and everyone was very pleased with their food selection. The menu offers a variety of items so everyone can find something they like. I ordered a cocktail and found it to be excellent. I would highly recommend Mariner's Inn for a casual but really good meal. The ambiance was good to me as it featured pictures of older shipping vessels and items. Overall an excellent place to eat and or drink.

How the mighty fall. Mariner's Inn used to be one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Hammond…read more Apparently the restaurant has changed hands, and the new direction it has taken disappoints me. The sports bar aspect of the business has been emphasized and the food quality diminished. The food isn't bad, but it's certainly not the standout it used to be. For example, the hamburger steak entre I ordered was okay, but it was $12 for the patty covered in gravy and mushrooms, one side, and "garlic bread." My side was plain rice - no extra brown gravy on it, despite my request - and the garlic bread strips were small. I suppose everything these days is expensive, but it felt underwhelming. I also ordered a cup of the soup of the day: shrimp and corn. My former favorite - I used to visit specifically for that dish - it's now best described as unmemorable. The service was friendly and fine, despite some mistakes. With one room now basically dedicated to the bar and pool tables, there's a more noticeable "sports bar" vibe, though I don't think there were a bunch of TVs in the dining area? I wasn't really paying attention to that. If you're looking for a place to play pool, drink, and eat something decent, sure, this is still a good bet. But if you're just looking to go out and have a great meal in Hammond, Mariner's Inn no longer makes the recommendation list.
