Super hot and should come with a warning, they are a delicious opener here at Mugshots - let 'em cool a little, then dip into that homemade ranch and do the Mmmmmm thing - you know you want to. Actually found out about this location on Yelp, no brainer to visit. We came about 4 a'clock on a Sunday with a rowdy crowd of 8 and the service was great. They seemed to be not very busy at all, seating us all fast. Pretty sure our server was also the bartender; he was patient with us as we were loud and rowdy. Plenty plenty TV's around the restaurant, many booths and tables and a lot of spots to sit at the bar. I wanted to just try the wings therefore I just got 5 (hot) and they were pretty good, meaty for sure and great buffalo flavour. Also got the Texan burger and it was excellent. As he walked off I hollered at him not in a rude way to make sure it was cooked medium. It was pink in the middle, so I'm not sure if he took me serious or if the cooks just aren't the best but I really enjoyed this burger. Fried onion rings and jalapeños along with pepper jack cheese was heavenly with the thick burger not cooked well done. Sourdough bun is delightful and the fries are simply amazing as well. I've never had a bad bite to eat from any mugshots. My bill was $42 with the food listed and pictured as well as a tall craft beer. Overall was a great visit and would recommend to anyone. read more

We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and the blackened Mahi Mahi entrée with veggies. The cheeseburger came out within a reasonable time, hot and fresh. Attempted to return to this location, but after our last experience some time back I decided to see if the hamburger patties had gone back to weed hat we used to love. Unfortunately the owner manager wasn't there so I asked the young lady in the bar area if I could see what the starting product looked like. Mugshots features lots of TVs and a sports bar, beer, and burger kind of vibe, but has a menu that goes a little further to offer an array of appetizers, salads, specialty sandwiches and a few regional favorite entrees, as well. The bar offers a range of micro brews and specialty cocktails, in addition to the standards. Service was friendly and efficient. I had the chopped steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, and broiled zucchini, with a good Texas toast. My wife had the signature burger with fries. Everything was good and well presented. I had a local brew, which was good, and my wife had an Old Fashioned, which unfortunately was a little bitter. Prices were reasonable. A sports bar supposedly, but I'm sitting here on Saturday during March Madness; no one at the bar and mostly empty, the three big screens behind the bar are on bowling, women's softball and off. Took seven minutes from sitting down to get acknowledged, as there is no bartender, simply a server who's also handling the few tables here. Hard pass. Update: I asked for the basketball tournament on the TVs, was told the manager would get them (what sports bar manager doesn't know March Madness is on???); been waiting twenty minutes, no sign of the manager, only the server trying to handle to-go, tables and bar. To say the restaurant was dirty would be an understatement. Less than an hour from opening and the bathroom looked and smelled as if they hadn't been cleaned in a week. It was 07 JUL 2019, and we had just spent our second day in a row helping my in-laws move from New Orleans to Covington, LA. By the time dinner time arrived, we were too hungry to wait until we got back to the South shore to eat dinner; therefore, having tried Mugshots in Mississippi once before, we decided to try their Covington location. We were immediately greeted and seated, and I was pleased with the decor, ambiance and chain restaurant familiarity of the dining room. My son got the kid's pasta with marinara. Although it was served sans meatball, it was still a solid kid's dish. Their marinara a is a little on the sweet side, but definitely good. I ordered a small side salad and was impressed to see that this wasn't simply some lettuce & tomato in a bowl. The tomatoes were chopped uniformly and the salad also had chopped red onion, cheese and croutons. Both my wife and I got the same entree; blackened Mahi Mahi with grilled vegetables. The Mahi was seasoned nicely but I would have liked to have had a slightly larger piece. For most people, the portion would likely be fine, but I have a big appetite. To my pleasant surprise, the grilled veggies were zucchini and yellow squash, with a little bit of sliced red onions throughout; and the portion was large! The food, service and cleanliness of the restaurant were all good. Definitely deserving of an A-OK rating. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at my meal here. The service was great, and we had to wait a while for the meal (due to some kitchen staff not there). The waitress and manager continued to check on us and apologize, and did give us 20% off of the bill. We got an order of fried pickles- they were delicious. Nice and crunchy and briny with a great ranch for dipping. My husband got a patty melt with a side salad and I got a hamburger (bacon and cheese) with a side salad. The patty melt was pretty good, as was the burger. Even though we didn't get to choose the cook on the meat, it was not dry or tough, and was seasoned well. The side salads were big and the ranch wasps good. My only complaints were that the bun got a little mushy (next time I would ask for it to be toasted) and the bacon on the burger was a pretty sad little piece. I came back to give Mugshots another shot, hoping to get a better cooked burger and after finishing my meal, I'm highly disappointed. We got the order to go, so there isn't much to say about the service other than all the staff was very friendly. This review will be based almost entirely off of the food. The burgers were unfortunately yet again, over cooked and noticeably dry. Both burgers were put together into the boxes sloppy and had to be reassembled at home. I got "grilled" veggies to replace the French fries that come with it. They were clearly pan fried, not grilled and had no seasoning to them at all, salt and pepper had to be added. The bacon that came on the burgers were surprisingly crispy and better than expected, I was very pleased with the toppings. We ordered fried pickles to go with our burgers and I honestly can't tell if they were boiled or fried because they were so soggy, it looked like they were soaking in liquid for an hour before plated. Yes, it was to go but, I was told 15-20 minutes, I was there in 14 minutes and it was ready, and I only had a 5 minute drive before I was eating it and there was no steam inside the box which was my first assumption for the soggy pickles. They were also at room temperature so I can only assume they were put in the box and the box was closed immediately. It's unfortunate because I really enjoy giving local businesses several tries but other than the crispy bacon, my meal was less than average. read more

This was our second time to visit Mugshots and they did not disappoint. It had been a while since our last visit and since we were in the area, we decided to stop in to see if they were consistent. I believe that hitting a restaurant around 1:30 pm is always the best time to eat or just before the main rush for lunch or dinner. You always get the best service and the best preparation of your food. Mugshots have the typical bar and grill feel, however, they like you to promote by taking a mugshot with their merchandise at events and places you travel and you get discounts and rewards. We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately and the same went with our server. She greeted us and took our drink and appetizer order. I checked in via YELP and was given a free fried pickles appetizer via the check-in. I told our server and she put that order in for us as well. How cool was that, thanks to Yelp and Mugshots. We ordered the Mambo Combo which gave you three choices of appetizers (we had the southwest egg rolls, chicken tenders and tee's cheese wedges) all was cooked to perfection and loved the flavor of the southwest egg rolls. I can't stand pickles but my wife loved the crowd pickles, especially since they were free. I ordered the cajun chicken pasta and it was great. Plenty of sauce, chicken nice and tender and the texas toast topped it off. I did feel that it could have had a little more cajun spice to set the flavor off more. All in all, it was still good. My wife had the blackened Mahi with grilled veggies, she said it was very good but the fish could have used some more seasoning for more flavor. She felt it was a little bland but, still, she enjoyed it. They do have two outdoor patios to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful days and your meal. A great place to meet friends after work.
