Also, they serve up breakfast and lunch. I actually ate one of their breakfast plates last year when I was here for Christmas and enjoyed it. During my recent visit for the week, I decided to order from them. Let's see how the visits turned out. For takeout orders, you can call since they don't have a website. No major issue there. And your order will be ready in less than 10 minutes. Definitely not bad. Also, you have the option to do drive-thru service or walk-in. Inside, they have tables, flatscreen TV's and have a desert selection at the counter. For all my selections, I ordered a breakfast plate which consisted of grits, protein (sausage patties for me), scrambled eggs and biscuit or toast. All for $10. Homecooked and really good. And a welcoming staff when you enter the building or drive-thru. Can't beat that. I am so thankful this place is in my hometown. Local spots are where you can get a homecooked meal compared to home. This will be a go-to for yours truly the next time I come into town. Till next time :)

Back to the order, the smoked sausage was cook perfectly and the eggs were well seasoned, you don't need to add anything. For the pancakes, I'm unsure if it's fresh batter made or frozen but it doesn't give you the other "drive through" taste pancakes but I was kinda looking for a more homey fuller pancake but these are still okay. Since I'm working in the area, I know I'll work my way through the menu choices.

This is one of our "go to" restaurants. This time we brought a relative from out of town and she loved it. My son and I enjoyed the soft shell crab, his wife loved the redfish, my wife feasted on the lasagna, and my cousin raved over the R25 Burger. I enjoyed the French Onion soup and the table sampled the goat cheese salad and the frog legs Provençal. And while they didn't have a specific children's menu, our 5 year old grandson filled up on part of the R25 burger and my wife's lasagna. What we love about Roux 25 is that it's wonderful farm to table food in a very friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. The service is prompt and efficient. We love the trip up Roux 25 from Covington every chance we get. I'm looking forward to our next trip up; there's still some very tantalizing items on the menu that I'd love to try. read more

I really enjoyed our first visit to Roux 25 and have suggested it to friends that are in town visiting but honestly it wasn't what I expected. There was really no way to have a nice quiet romantic dinner with your significant other and I explained that to the friends visiting from out of town before recommending it. There's just not enough room between the bar and the dining area and the bar patrons can be very loud. My suggestion to my spouse was that we needed to simply return and become part of the bar crowd instead of trying to have a romantic dinner together. The food was fantastic and I remember the craft cocktails were really good as well. I'm looking forward to returning with another couple to tear it up in the bar, but probably not for a romantic evening. read more

I eat at this restaurant once a week and I have never had anything less than a premier experience. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for the food but that's because it's real and the chef doesn't send out anything subpar food. This is easily a top three on the northshore as far as actual culinary contributions and I think I've eaten at every nice place between lacombe and Baton Rouge. read more

We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary with a visit to Roux 25 and I can't wait to return. The cauliflower Veloute was amazing but our entrees of lamb shank and roast chicken were even better. When Roux 25 opened it was GREAT, then the pandemic and as they reopened, it wasn't worth the money. NOW they are back on track. Great service! Love the menu, especially when they get creative.
