    Abita Amber draft beer

Times Grill is one of our Go-To places, and is one of the restaurants I steer out-of-town visitors to. It is comfortable and quiet. We rarely have to wait for a table, even when they are busy. They have a lot of TVs going all the time. This is an excellent place to watch an LSU or Saints game. The restaurant is located in the Slidell train station, and occasionally a train rumbles through while you're eating which is different and kind of fun. Things happen, but the service is usually good and the management seems genuinely concerned that everyone has a good Customer Experience. The menu has a wide range of things, something for everyone, but the burgers are what we usually get. They have some creative combo burgers but the regular cheeseburger is just as nice. The hot sandwiches and po-boys are good. Every one comes with fries as a side, but they also offer a choice of coleslaw or potato salad. Both are excellent and a nice alternative to fries. The fried mushrooms are better than most. The side salads are fresh and cold and almost big enough to call an entree. They have a good selection of draft beers at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

The food was decent overall. If you're craving a good burger, this place is worth a try. The drinks were average, and the kids' meal chicken tenders were small and overpriced. This was my first time visiting, and while I wanted to check it out, it's not a spot I feel the need to return to. The service was good and fast, and the ambiance is simple with a small dining room area. If you're curious and just want to experience it once, it's fine, but not a must-visit for me.

Ricky Ricardo was good. Our server was fast. Milkshake was the best. I recommend this restaurant.

Seriously one of the best burgers on the planet. Service and atmosphere here are exceptional. Not normally a boneless wings guy, but these are good - real thick chicken. I got the el diablo burger...Amazing. Next time you think burger...think Times Grill, you'll be glad ya did!

a hamburger and french fries in a styrofoam container

I ordered a well done burger but got medium at best. Service was good but i should say i ordered to go so i didn't get the full experience.

Did you know Times Grill can do any burger wrapped in lettuce rather than a bun!?! Love them!!

To the Team at Chili's,…read more I am writing to share my appreciation for the excellent service and quality I consistently receive at your restaurant. Whether I am dining in or placing a takeout order, the food is always on point. On the rare occasion that an order isn't perfect, the staff goes above and beyond to rectify it immediately. Even at the take out crew nails it every single time. During a recent visit, the team exceeded my expectations by providing several complimentary items, including chips, guacamole, queso, and salsa, without me even asking. Furthermore, the drinks are fantastic--thanks in part to your highly experienced bartender--and the 2-for-1 specials make the experience very affordable. As a veteran who served eight years, I also truly appreciate the military discount you offer. Your staff consistently exceeds my expectations, and I am happy to drive across town to support this location. Thank you for providing such great service and fantastic food. - Russ L.

I've only ever had their breakfast here, but they do SUCH a great job, I'll have to come back for their lunches too It's a casual eatery that always seems to be fairly popular. Everything is very reasonably priced, so yummy, and their portions are generous. You'll go home full without completely emptying your wallet I highly recommend their "Poor Man's Benedict" ($10). It's SO good! It comes with their freshly baked biscuit topped with fried chicken and a poached egg, smothered in their homemade sausage gravy. The biscuit is soft, the eggs are perfect, their fried chicken is flavorful and well-seasoned, and the gravy is savory and just makes it feel like comfort food. You really can't miss out on their fried chicken. I know what you're thinking, fried chicken first thing in the morning? Trust me though, it's DELISH and you won't regret it! If you're really hungry, I suggest the "Chicken Fried Platter" ($13). It's very similar to the Benedict, but it comes with an extra side. We tried the hashbrowns and they were yum. Crispy surface and soft on the inside. Just the way I like 'em!

After about 15 minutes, I walked to the waitress station and politely asked for a menu; the response was an eye roll with menus "shoved" at me in an aggravated manner. Regardless, I thanked her. Soon, the same young waitresscame over and took our drink orders (waters) nicely, but then she left the back room where we were seated and did not return! Whaa? I never saw her again, so we have it another 15 min and gave up. We looked for our angry waitress as we walked through to leave hoping she, or anyone, might notice we were leaving, but nothing. The restaurant was crowded and diners seemed happy enough so perhaps we simply got the wrong person in the wrong moments. However, since I'm from out-of-state, this is the impression I will forever have of La Pines Cafe.
