Filet and Shrimp Plate
Joshua O.

Home style cafe vibes Menu was vast from salads to seafood. I chose the Catfish and Shrimp plate. Filet was a very big portion and the shrimp were definitely jumbo I got side of veggies and this was not what I expected. Chargrilled and full of flavors! As for the Mac-n-Cheese, get it if you love cheese. I do and I will say it's worth it. I'm almost positive there were 42 1/2 layers of cheese and noodle. Delish! My only knock, tarter did not taste homemade and I'm a stickler for dips/dressing being bought. Mainly because I know how simple it is to just make them. It could be homemade but I didn't get that. Otherwise, the cocktail sauce tasted homemade. Different vibe than usual. More of a chunky salsa consistency with some heat. Wasn't mad about it. Overall would I go back. Yes. Would I get the same dish, heck yes. I want to try a salad next. The staff said they are really good. Better be NOT store bought dressing though

French Quarter Toast

First time trying them & I did pickup! I waited about 20 minutes for my food which isn't bad because they were super busy! I ordered the French Quarter Toast with the hot mess potatoes & bacon! I enjoyed the breakfast & will definitely be back to try more!

This was my first visit, I had been really wanting to try the Cafe. I Googled the Cafe before driving that direction to make sure they were open, which they were according to Google. I arrived and the Open sign was on so I parked. On the door the hours posted were 6:30 am to 2 pm, so I went inside. The sign said seat yourself so I picked a table. I was seated for a few minutes when a young lady informed me that they stopped serving breakfast at 10 am (it was 10:10) and that they would not start serving lunch for 10 more minutes. Due to the timing, I didn't feel like I could stay. My disappointment with the Cafe is solely based on how the situation was handled, the young lady was pleasant and the food may be incredible. However, customer experience is a great deal of the experience of dining, and in this they failed. I will probably try them again, but this could have been 5 stars rather than 2.

This is the sign on the door but remember they shut down at 10:00 am, and you can order at 10:30

Just getting around to writing this review. At first I was going to let it go but the more I think about it dove me crazy. So here it goes. It was a Thursday and I was in old town with a buddy. We said let eat in old town (breakfast), well we head down to Terry Lynn's and when we got to the door it said the prices have increased due to COVID-19. Well we said let's go in and help them out. We sit down and the waitress told us breakfast is over and it is now lunch, so we both said that is fine we will take some burgers. Now what's comes next is what is driving me crazy. The waitress tells us that we have to wait till 10:30 to order, that is when lunch's starts. We said your kidding we are sitting down and we can't order for another half hour. Well now we got up and left the business and going out the door just had to take a picture of the sign that blames any lost of money on covid-19. It will be a long time before I walk in the doors again. So we walk to the truck and hopped in it a went straight to the Cracker Barrel. And chain that had no signs on the door that said feel sorry for me

Me and my wife are always open for trying new spots for breakfast and we actually had the time to stop in at terry Lynn's cafe. The food was delicious made to order and brought out on time. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was just right.

9/25/17 Sorry for the late submission of my review! I've only been here once but had a good experience to where I would love to come again! Everything we ate was tasty! They were unfortunately out of a couple things that I wanted to try so hopefully next time I get to try them.

So this neighborhood joint has never disappointed me for breakfast or lunch and I mean, ever. I was there for lunch today and ordered from the daily special 'shrimp philly wrap' fried with onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato with mayo and salad with blue cheese dressing. I also ordered the loaded fries as an appetizer and after finishing everything up, had trouble walking towards my car. Just kidding. The prompt, courteous and professional service is always provided with a smile. I would definitely recommend anyone in the slidell area (northshore) to give Terry Lynn's Cafe a try. The only downside is that they close too early at 2p. Hopefully, the owner will read this review and open up during the evening hours as well

Ham and cheese omelette. Delicious!

We've been here several times and the food is always delicious. This was our first time getting breakfast. Hubby is a breakfast lover but super picky. He loved it!! We'll definitely be back!

No food is available from 10 AM to 11 AM. The hours open should reflect this. Could not even but coffee or a roll.

I gave the red beans and rice a try. Not so good. Too many other places in town with delicious beans. Other items are good here though.

Food is slow to come out and generic. Biscuit was delicious, but unfortunately, they ran. Friendly waitress (that is why I gave 2 Stars).

This was a local joint and exactly that. Don't expect fancy but expect breakfast with a smile and coffee with a neighbor.

Peruvian food is a flavorful fusion of Indigenous, Spanish, Asian, and African influences known for bold flavors, fresh seafood, rice dishes, and vibrant sauces. Everything we ordered was a hit and I'll definitely be back for more! 1. Chicha Morada - A refreshing Peruvian drink made from purple corn, fruit, cinnamon, and spices with a sweet fruity flavor. (MY FAVORITE) 2. Pulpo a la Plancha - Marinated octopus served with patacones, Peruvian corn, and chimichurri. (FAVORITE) 3. Bisteck A Lo Pobre - Steak with fried egg, fried plantains, sautéed onions, and rice. 4. Al Pastor & Carnitas Tacos 5. Fettuccine a la Huancaína with Lomo Saltado - Creamy huancaína pasta topped with flavorful lomo saltado, parmesan, and plenty of passion. 6. TBD next time Tonylameats Approved

Pablo's - A South American Taste is tucked away on the outskirts of Olde Town Slidell, and from the outside, you'd never guess what's inside. It looks unassuming--almost like a forgotten storefront--but once you walk in, WOW. Modern, stylish, great music, and such a welcoming vibe. The food was exceptional--rich flavors, beautifully executed, and incredibly satisfying. The drinks were just as impressive, creative and perfectly balanced. Every detail felt elevated. The service truly sealed the deal. Gisella was amazing--attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure we had an incredible experience. You can feel the pride and passion here. Parking tip for first-timers: park on the side street since there's little to no parking directly out front. Don't let that deter you--this place is 100% worth the effort. If you love discovering hidden gems, this is your sign. Pablo's is doing something special, and I hope more people find their way here.

This restaurant has mixed reviews but we found it wonderful! The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas! We started off with 3 Happy Hour Appetizers which were all good but our favorite was the spinach dip with pasta bow ties chips! So yummy! I couldn't decide which drink to start with when one of the bartenders said she had just created a Mardi Gras "New Fashioned" and made it a Christmas drink with icing and sprinkles. Wow!!!! It was delicious! I went on to have the Christmas Cookie martini which was also delicious and a Grinch Mimosa which was good as well. My friends got the Christmas margarita, the Crème brûlée margarita, eggnog martini and cinnamon White Russian. All were amazing! We actually like all of the drinks better than the ones we had at 2 Holiday pop ups! For entrees we had the Cypress burger which was cooked on point, juicy and flavorful along with cups of gumbo and a salad. All of the food was really good. We had a bonus of being there on Trivia night and had so much fun! The staff along with some of the regulars were extremely friendly and helpful. We all agreed we would be back.
