Visited Cypress Restaurant and Bar for lunch with coworkers in Slidell, LA. It offers a delightful dining experience with its chargrilled oysters that are a must-try for seafood enthusiasts. I  personally recommend the chargrilled oysters for their perfect char and succulent taste. The restaurant itself provides a cozy atmosphere that's ideal for a casual meal with friends or family. While the menu features a range of options, the chargrilled oysters was one of the specials for the day so I just had to try them. Our server, Mallory, was great, she was friendly and attentive. The food did not take long either. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a place worth visiting.rite34. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a place worth visiting

Slidell Seafood Spot * Local Slidell spot right off Gause and Military. BIG menu selections so you are bound to find something you enjoy. This is my second time and not my last. Our waitress was very sweet in helping my mom and friends decide what to pick. Answered all of our questions and we had a lot haha! This was also my first time trying Flounder and VERY good! The way they crosscut the meat, made it very easy to come off. Just watch for little small bones around the edges. We also got the muffaletta and fried shrimp platter. Both were big portions and the shrimp were large. Overall great place, lots of fried options but you can also choose grilled and blackened if you wish. Definitely give it a try when you are in town!

'BreadPudding'? VERY dry/thin no sauce Served w/sugar diced strawberries; I got on side. skimpy portion made from leftovers

Live in neighborhood next to Cypress & heard all the bad reviews from local people plus read them on here. Gave it a chance anyway. I def wouldn't spend money here again. Nice atmosphere/layout inside and quaint and quirky local themed decor that had so much potential wasted on less than mediocre food, cocktails & cleaning. Need a professional to come in and revaluate to fix things for owner maybe. Servers were sweet but young & unfamiliar with the menu. Pulled pork mac n cheese special of the day sounded good but wasn't & had a few tomatoes chopped in it to simulate pepper jack instead of just peppers? Idk. The theme & concept has potential but recipes need serious revisiting. Charbroiled Oysters which usually smell heavenly everywhere else smelled rancid here. Cocktails are juvenile. Portion size & accommodations do not reflect high prices at all. Hard to discern with kitchen & servers if certain diets or allergies could be accommodated. Also, do not appreciate an uncensored music station being played with multiple curse & inappropriate words if it's supposed to cater to the whole family. Strawberey cheesecake " Bread Pudding" made from dessert scraps. Very thin and VERY dry with no rum sauce or anything. Served with sugar water diced strawberries. I ordered to be on side. Didn't taste bad but very skimpy for price considering it's literally made from leftovers & not exactly what I imagine bread pudding to be at all maybe rename it. "Mac n Cheese" ... pulled pork one. Special of the day. With some raw diced tomatoes & canned jalapeños. Do not recommend it. Would not recommend the mac plain without pork or tomatoes/peppers either. Was told they only serve crawfish mac n cheese. Can't do it without crawfish. But here we are. Making a deconstructed looking & tasting mac n cheese without crawfish.

I went with friends to eat there. It was the worst food I have ever gotten in a restaurant. You never go back.

The boudin egg rolls, fried catfish and blackened catfish were really good. Kaitlyn A. was awesome and made great recommendations.

Visited twice. Food was great both times but the service was awful both times. The server said the kitchen could get the food out.

Peruvian food is a flavorful fusion of Indigenous, Spanish, Asian, and African influences known for bold flavors, fresh seafood, rice dishes, and vibrant sauces. Everything we ordered was a hit and I'll definitely be back for more! 1. Chicha Morada - A refreshing Peruvian drink made from purple corn, fruit, cinnamon, and spices with a sweet fruity flavor. (MY FAVORITE) 2. Pulpo a la Plancha - Marinated octopus served with patacones, Peruvian corn, and chimichurri. (FAVORITE) 3. Pablo's - A South American Taste is tucked away on the outskirts of Olde Town Slidell, and from the outside, you'd never guess what's inside. It looks unassuming--almost like a forgotten storefront--but once you walk in, WOW. Modern, stylish, great music, and such a welcoming vibe. The food was exceptional--rich flavors, beautifully executed, and incredibly satisfying. The drinks were just as impressive, creative and perfectly balanced. Every detail felt elevated. The service truly sealed the deal. Gisella was amazing--attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure we had an incredible experience. You can feel the pride and passion here. Parking tip for first-timers: park on the side street since there's little to no parking directly out front. Don't let that deter you--this place is 100% worth the effort. If you love discovering hidden gems, this is your sign. Pablo's is doing something special, and I hope more people find their way here.

I visited the Pontchartrain location. As a first-time customer, I want to mention that the young girl, Holland, working the drive-thru around 6 a.m. was very upbeat and kind. However she couldn't be more than 15-16 years old, if that. After the charge posted to my account, I noticed it was more than double what I was originally charged. My total at the window was just $5.48, and I did not add a tip since I went through the drive-thru. When the charge finalized, it showed over $13.48. I'm not sure if this was an honest mistake or Holland entering an $8 tip that I didn't give her, but it was concerning to see such a large difference after the transaction was completed. I would recommend customers double-checking their receipts and making sure "no tip" is written if they do not intend to leave one, to prevent something like this happening to them. I hope management looks into this so it doesn't happen to other customers. UPDATE: After speaking with Shannon, a shift manager, she stated if I brought my receipt in she'd handle it. I then told her Holland never provided a final receipt, only asked me to sign one and gave me my donuts through the drive-thru window and said "Have a good day". I did inform Shannon that I had a screenshot of the charge being updated in my back account and that she could view it here because I'd already left a review about my experience. Shannon then stated she will reach out to the owner Maddie to have this issue resolved. I will update this review on whether I do or do not receive a resolution to this matter.
