My husband and I went to lunch with some friends and we chose this spot. Its a quaint spot, really nice restaurant, colorful, and clean. We ordered an appetizer, the seafood croquettes, which was delicious. It was cran and crawfish mixture deep fried...so delicious. We also ordered the Yakamein, the tour New Orleans, the Redfish and the reddish brillia tacos. When I tell you everything was nice and hot and the taste was on point! Everything was seasoned well. The tacos were a little spicy, but my friend still loved the taste. My hisband especially loved the potato salad that came with the Tour New Orleans because it's hard to find good potato salad. Everyone enjoyed their food and the portions were also good. The owner walked around and introduced herself. Very friendly and personable. Our server did her job well. Tireyona, was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. She paid attention to the table, filled the waters without being asked. She has a great smile and I was impressed that she didn't have a pad but got everything right! The restroom was really clean and spacious. There is one toilet in the restroom, but I love how the door states if it's vacant or not. There is a full length mirror outside the door also. Love that! The art work on the wall is also colorful and inviting.

    Praline Cheesecake pretty good.

The restaurant was amazing with seating outside! The Tour Orleans with the gumbo was delicious and the shrimp were fabulous and well seasoned! The praline cheesecake was also great. Our waitress was friendly and she kept checking on us.

Seafood Yakamein with grilled cheese sandwich to sop up the juice. Awesome.

What a pleasant surprise! Delicious seafood Yakamein in a quaint unassuming location right in the middle Slidell. The service was quick and friendly. Three of us had the Yakamein and a grilled cheese sandwich to sop up the juice. We are agreed it was delicious and will be coming here again.

Awesome place and just what Slidell needs! Where do I start?! Service was A1 from start to finish Food: chargrilled oysters- Very good, nice size. Seafood Yakamein- broth full of flavor, healthy serving of crab, shrimp & crawfish added. Carrot Soufflé- Delicious. Loved how they used unique spices. BBQ Pasta- bold, flavorful & saucy! Peach Bread Pudding- very good! Not overly sweet.

    Steak sandwich

Flavors were good and all that stuff. I had the steak sandwich which was good, but the bun got super soggy with in 20 seconds of it sitting at my table. I didn't really mind it, it just kind of threw off the meal a little bit. The peach bread pudding was pretty good as well just not the best I've ever had. Service was good though.

    AMAZING Char-Grilled Oysters

This is a hidden gem and a MUST visit. We were traveling from Lake Charles to Florida and stopped through on a whim. SOOO happy we stopped here. YES we ate too much, NO I'm not ashamed of my choices in life. This place serves amazing everything. Shout out to our hostess/ owner "B" and her husband who is cooking in the back! Stopped through on December 4, 2025 at 6:30p

Good service. Generously sized burger. Good fries. My tea was room temp. Ambiance was extremely loud. Small space with three blaring TVs on different channels.

    Beautiful mural.

Delicious food, awesome waitress, and a great playlist! Neutral Ground was recommended to us by our church family as they raved about it every time we saw them lol. We were greeted as we walked in and told to sit anywhere we'd like. A small establishment, we chose a seat. Mama knew she would get the seafood yakamein and I'd decided on the seafood baked potato. We added the sweet potato tatter tots and carrot soufflé. The yakamein packed a punch with the bold flavor and spices, the baked potato was stuffed creamy and delicious and the tatter tots are an added treat we truly enjoyed. Only thing we didn't care for was the carrot soufflé which they may just have had an off batch adding too much spice. Other than that this rest is a must try if you are in the area. Located in Slidell on Gause across the tracks. Kaycie was a sweetheart and so kind. We will add them to our list when in the area. Until we meet again.

Disappointed because they closed early, and the online hours were posted online. No exceptions.

There was tons of parking all around the park across the street. Inside had something like 6 or 8 tables and a bar to sit at. They also have outdoor seating. You order at the register and they bring it out to you. I ordered the 2 meat 1 side combo. They didn't have burnt ends at the time, which I'm still dying to try. Instead I went with ribs and chicken with Mac and cheese. I've been getting used to bbq places bringing you small wimpy ribs, but this says two ribs on the menu it's more like three and some change they're so big. These ribs were so juicy, perfect amount of char, tons of flavor. Throw some of the table bbq to dip in and wow. Same with the chicken juicy, with a light crispy skin, and also even better with the bbq. Mac and cheese was also great. It was super cheesy and had a nice kick to it.

I ordered the brisket burnt ends and the ribs with a side of baked beans. The food came out pretty fast. The burnt ends were delicious. Tender and seasoned well I also loved the bbq sauce. The ribs were okay. They were Luke warm so they got cold pretty fast and were over cooked. I enjoyed the baked beans and they give you a hearty portion. Overall pretty good I would definitely go back to get another order of burnt ends.

When I looked in Google and saw that they were open on Sunday I decided that I was taking him there. You come in and it is a down home feeling. You have to lay before you eat, not a big deal and for me and my husband it was about $30. They had fried and baked chicken, mashed potatoes, lime beans, black eyed peas, tomatoes and okra, and of course fried green tomatoes. The reviews we had seen had mentioned that item as being great and my husband can attest to the fact that they are delicious!!! The service was good and the people all checked up on us and made sure our drinks were filled and plates cleared away. We talked to one of the servers and they talked about how they were open on Sunday through Friday for lunch but closed and reopened on Friday nights for a seafood buffet. My husband and I looked at each other and went "Yes"! We will DEFINITELY be back to eat some more of their cooking. The menu is listed daily on their Facebook page so head over there to like and follow them to see what's for lunch everyday!

There were about a dozen main course items to choose from, mostly fried. There was enough items to make a full, non-fried meal. Two desserts to enjoy, both excellent. Never had an empty glass. We were a party of five. The Pompano fish was very thin and not flavorful -- very disappointing. The sauteed softshell crab was too salty and not very large and meaty (for the price). But my biggest criticism isn't about the food. Their staff is obviously trained to work as a team, which is great. But at some point, less is more, and I will explain why. I enjoy having a fairly calm dinner. The staff, in trying to do something good, crossed the line of what added to the experience. They were overly attentive to the point that it felt frenzied. It felt like I dined with a swarm of bees flying around my table. The worst part for me was that, as the last person finishing dinner, I was trying to eat my steak while multiple people were frantically grabbing everyone else's empty plates, bread plates, and silverware. They were reaching over the table grabbing things as I was still eating. While I do appreciate good service, this was overboard and detracted from my experience. I think it would be best if they would allow everyone to finish eating before removing everything from the table. I felt rushed, and I don't feel like eating an expensive meal while the entire table is being bussed. I hope they can tone this down.
