This restaurant has been slinging burgers since 1901. It has a small private lot. They also have an outdoor patio and indoor dining. If you ordered ahead and did not want to come in then you can pick you food up at their drive thru window. They have a small menu. I went with the cheese burger and fries. It did not take long to get my food, but it felt luke warm. The cheese on the burger was shredded cheese and not sliced. The food was ok. On a positive note, the staff there is very friendly and welcoming. It is a nice local spot. They made me fell like a regular. Anyway, You purchase your food and drinks from the counter and then they bring it out to you. The server then brings you condiments and refills. They also clear your table when you are done. So feel free to get up and walk out after you meal. Tips for the servers are appreciated. This is a nice spot. A 3.5 star rating would be more accurate. I wish that I liked the food a bit better though. They also seem to be known for their pies. I will definitely have to check them out if I make it back here. read more

I'm sorry to say this was not the experience I had before. The fish plate was very disappointing. Do not go. Something was very wrong, and the food was inedible. I worried all night if I was going to get sick. Owner's (I think he was owner) daughter was very sweet but he helped us and could not get our order straight. I don't like writing bad reviews but I felt I had to do so. Probably one notch below McDonald's and I loathe McDonalds. 1st visit was not long after moving to Covington, and before the state went on Covid lock down in 2020. Went through drive through and my burger was wrong. Had lettuce on it when I ordered no lettuce. I ordered extra mayo + ketchup and got no mayo. Swore I wouldn't waste my $$ there ever again. Fast forward to Spring 2021 and I needed to pick up lunch on the way home from an appointment and really wanted a burger. So, yep - I tried Lee's again. I ordered double meat, cheese, extra mayo, ketchup, and onion. For some reason, the burger had lettuce on it. Didn't have extra mayo. And the patties were maybe someone's well worn shoe sole? I grew up eating at Lee's as a kid growing up in Slidell. It's still amazing, although the nostalgia factor is strong for me. My favorite is a Lee's burger with just chili, cheese, and the grilled onions. Just delicious. Anytime I am back this way from where I live now, I always stop in. The Resturant is Dirty. Entry needs painting and floor is in need of repairs. The table and items on it were sticky to touch. All the tables were also sticky as if wiped with a oily cloth. Use napkins to hold everything on the table. Silverware is on a request item. The burger is loaded with not quite cooked onions and the fry's were like mashed potato fries. Order taker was very friendly and calls you baby. It's been a long time since I was called baby. The meat was OK and juicy. The lunch came with a small apple fried pie that I discarded. Pretty good hamburgers here at Lee's. Their sign says they have been selling burgers since 1901. That's pretty amazing. This is not a fancy place by any means and they won't be winning any contests for cleanest restaurant. This is another one where you walk in, view the menu on the wall, order at the counter and then sit down. They do have pretty good food. On my visit I had a hamburger, chili cheese fries, apple pie and a drink. The burgers are pretty thick and they put the onions inside of the pattie. The chili cheese fries are OK. The fries are the thick steak fries so if you like those you will be happy. They come with a clump of cheese and then chili poured over them so part of the cheese doesn't get melted. The apple pies are OK. $12.61 for the meal. I had been told that they charge for refills, but I didn't get charged so they must have changed that. Sam was my waitress. She was super nice and checked on me a few times. I'll be back to see what else they have. read more

We were looking for a good burger, and we found it here. My husband and I got the 2 burger special (includes fries/onion rings, drinks and 2 apple pies) and we got the kids jr burgers. The jr burgers were a perfect size for my kids and they were only $1.50/burger. The fries were great, and the onionrings were crunchy but needed some type of seasoning or salt on them. definitely a local staple and a special place in my heart! it used to be on highway 11 in Slidell when I was a kid and they have since moved to 190 but the food is just as good as it was back then. the owner is a sweetheart, if he's not behind the grill he's making his way around the restaurant talking to each table. the girls at the front counter deserve their flowers too it def gives you a down home feeling, you see your food being cooked in front of you & it's delicious. if for some reason you HAVEN'T had Lee's i would def recommend bc you won't regret it ! read more

I ordered the 1/2lb dressed burger with grilled onions, jalapenos, and mushrooms. I like how they grill the onions into the burger and the meat is juicy and tender. Lacked any cohesive flavor so I added ranch on the burger which made it better. The steak fries were great. Total I paid was $15.74 but because I used credit I was charged an additional .53 cents that I wasn't told about I just noticed it on the receipt. I wouldn't have minded had they told me, not a big deal just wanted to notate it. I thought 16 bucks was kind of steep for a burger, small fries and a drink but the burger was huge so I guess it balances out. read more
