After a long day i couldn't find the energy to cook so i decided on Sam's. Definitely a great choice for some better than fast food. The service was friendly and helpful when deciding on what combo to choose. The atmosphere looked basic but clean. I went with the 2 fish 2 shrimp 2 chicken combo. This combo gives you an option off two sides and a drink with a roll. I chose hush puppies and French fries. The food was fresh, seasoned well and fried to perfection. Saw this place online and had to give it a try. The Philly cheese steak was great. Soft bread, good amount of meat and cheese. The fries were super crispy. I ordered it for pick up and it was wrapped up nicely so it stayed hot. I think I found a new go to for fast food. read more

food is always good and fresh, but no gloves nor hair restraints... front workers are touching the phone, register, then opening plates to check food placing side cups on counter then in the plate with food, and scratching face/nose and playing in hair in front the customer after opening plates. Great place to eat in south Slidell! Hours open are a plus along with convenient drive-through. The 4 piece catfish plate was delicious! Sides of hush puppies and red beans were equally as good! (Very affordable) We will be frequent customers and encourage others to go as well. read more

I have been to the Sam's in LaPlace and the food was awesome. You got to try the whole fried cat fish with red beans and rice.
