I'm not sure why this location has such poor reviews... every time we've gone, the server and/or bartender was friendly. No, the service isn't super fast, but the drinks and food come out accurate. My FAVORITE are the traditional bone in Daytona Wings (naked). The Lots o Tots - ok - these have changed over the last few years (what - no green onion?)...however- still good! We stopped in on a road trip because my husband and kids LOVE Hooters and miss it since our hometown location closed. When we pulled up, I was happy to see that it was a newer building and the interior was clean. Unfortunately, our experience was meh. We ordered traditional wings, boneless wings, fries, tots, and kid meals. Our server was sweet and helpful, but our order took a long time even though they weren't too busy, and then my husband's wings and our tots were missing. We aren't sure if the server didn't put all the food in or if the kitchen missed those items, but everyone was pretty much finished eating by the time his food came. The food quality was mixed. I want to start this by saying Claudia was fantastic. This is my first time in Louisiana and this hooters, and she took care of everything in a PHENOMENAL way. Quick service, got everything right with my order, changed the TVs to live sports when requested. Everything I could ask for, she took care of in a timely fashion! I was sitting here for a few hours, simpy because I'm from out of state and I was enjoying the beer and ambiance of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I was told I was forced to leave due to "expected traffic of the parades". I was planning on spending more money on wings and beer, but I guess I'll go elsewhere and spend my money on a business that values my dollar. Apparently, it was the GM Dylan who made the decision for Claudia to "clear her section" even though I was planning to spend more money on food and beverages. I recommend this establishment for the lovely servers who put their all into their service, but the management may need some serious oversight considering they're removing paying customers... Needed to grab food late last minute for my daughter & one of the few places open & ready to serve. From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by color, giant televisions featuring every sports game ever played, souvenir items to buy and waitresses in the trademark orange short shorts. Seating is comfortable and well-spaced to never feel crowded. I ordered the garlic habanero naked wings to go and they were good, with only a hint of habanero heat to make my lips tingle. The thing that impressed everyone the most was how hard the servers worked making sure they were able to give the best customer service. The young lady, Jessica, at the bar that took my to-go order managed to input the order, greet a new customer just sitting down, wipe the bar down, swiped my credit card and started pouring a drink for the guy a drink - all in under a minute. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks (work hours), sandwiches, wings & wings & more wings... Lots of activity inside the restaurant, which helps to pass the time; being a fairly new restaurant, the wait was approximately greater than an hour. So to facilitate the wait for a table, you give your cell phone number & once your table is ready, you are sent a text message (oh & they send periodic updates advising when your table will ready). I dropped in for the first time a couple weeks ago out of curiosity.. having visited the Hattiesburg location in the past and become totally turned off by the talent there, I decided to check out the Slidell location.. wish I remembered her name but the bartender was an absolute CHARM and extremely pleasant on the eyes.. after moving to a table, my waitress there was even more CHARMING and SPECTACULAR.. the many tvs were AWESOME, the service was GREAT, and the food(bone in wings) were DELICIOUS.. I'm so looking forward to going back soon for more and the UNCREDIBLE eye-candy staff.. this is exactly why most guys come to Hooters.. WELL DONE Slidell!!! read more

Usually we really enjoy this Hooters location. This trip was really disappointing. Restaurant had about 10 tables of customers but service was surprisingly slow. Noticed many new changes but unsure if Hooters policy change, local management change or just a bad day. Decided to start off with lots-of-tots and a Chicken quesadilla as we always do. Tots order was half the size of every other Hooters location. Quesadilla was brought out and we found out the menu had changed (our bad for not noticing). It is no longer a Chicken Quesadilla, it is a fajita style chicken quesadilla. Not at all impressed. The wings were great, as always. On our visit glasses were not refilled, we had to ask for silverware, she'd disappear for very long periods of time and was just all around forgetful. She was friendly but I'd prefer professional service anyday. I don't want what you're selling besides the food, sweetie. Speaking of the food...in a word. Gross. Sorry Hooters, but the wings were not good, the shrimp tasted rank and your Tex-Mex Nachos with the globs of what had to be Sysco chili were downright disappointing. I will admit it has been a long time since I went to a hooters restaurant. The reason I stopped at this one was because it was on the way to my destination, That and I was hungry. The food here was pretty good. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were good, they were also curly. The chicken sandwich was very good! You get to choose what kind of sauce to put on the chicken. I chose the chipotle honey sauce, because of the sweet heat factor. All in all a great meal. The service was awesome! Besides being very good looking, these ladies were very nice and helpful. They were extremely attentive and checked up on me every few minutes to make sure every thing was alright. In my book that classifies as good service. I think one of my favorite things about this place(besides the lovely women) was the way the restaurant was set up. It had a really tall ceiling around the bar area, so you don't have that claustrophobic feeling. Its more of a wide open feeling which makes me feel more welcome. I've had good experiences at this restaurant before but definitely not this time. The food was good but our waitress was not good at all. First, my 2 friends and I got there right as they opened on this Friday morning. The waitress that sat us was really nice but then out waitress "Kim" arrived. I wish she At least she would have greeted us like she was glad we were there. Now I have to say, she did come back and check on us regularly but did it like it was a chore or at least that's how it was perceived by all 3 of us. I honestly tried to give her the Benifit of the doubt and told my friends she was probably just new. Turns out she had been there for 5 years, wow. Even while operating under COVID-19 conditions (not busy at all!) my service was terrible. My son got his KIDS MEAL LAST AFTER WE HAD TO REMIND THE WAITRESS! My wife's fries were cold while everyone else's food was hot! My other son couldn't get a refill to save his life. And it seems the chicken gets less meat on them every year. Say what you will about any Hooter's restaurant, but the service is ALWAYS good and ALWAYS quick and friendly (duh), and even though they're not counted among the halls of exceptional restaurants, they have a MEAN philly cheese steak sandwich. Now, about THIS particular Hooters. It's a Hooters. They switch out their beers on tap quite frequently and normally they have good stuff on tap. I only drink beer on tap when I dine or eat out. Bar hopping is a different story. I'm only going to mention briefly that the girls at this Hooters are uh.... quite nice, indeed. Quite. Other than that, it's not like most other Hooters because it has a very open and bright interior. I like that. Huge bay windows surrounding the bar area and above that area let in LOTS of sunlight and I like that as well. The ar is a decent size and you're likely to find a seat if that's where you want to sit. I've never sat at a table here, so I don't know how the service is otherwise, but at the bar, the girls are quite accommodating. Hooters wings are alright. Their buffalo shrimp are better. Hooters chili is AWESOME, you might have looked over that once or twice and thought, "Eh, I can get chili anywhere". Well, your loss, pal. Hooters philly cheese steak is amazing. I like to get it with their tots, which are great as well. Curly fries? Meh. Tots? Oh yeah. So that's that. I have been to many Hooters in different states and this is the worst service I have ever experienced. Our waitress was lost the entire time, no where to be found. The cooks yell the entire time. Dined in on Sunday. National wing day. The place had some people. Certainly not busy. It was the worse dining experience in long time. The waitress couldn't remember two drinks. She was sweet but slow. At one time it took almost ten minuets to get a refill for my drink because she forgot. The food was mediocre at best. Of course you don't go to Hooters for five star food.
