I've now dined at T LeBlanc's more times than I can count and will continue to do so because this is the best and most consistent restaurant in all of Slidell. The staff are all smiling and helpful. The ambiance is comfortable and kitchy, very cute. They hit you at the front door with a clear view of "housemade" beautiful to die for cakes and pies. I am a chicken salad lover and theirs is my favorite, classic fresh made no-nonsence. Their specials cannot be beat. Whenever in doubt of what to order select a special. Where do I start? I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while bc I drive by it a few days a week and finally was able to do it today. There is plenty of parking and the parking lot was clean. There is also a pickup spot for to go orders. We entered and were greeted and seated right away by a very bubbly, friendly woman who we later found out was the owner. She came back to the table and talked with us and repeated our names several times, even as we left. The restaurant has a really nice decor, a little old with new and it was clean. Very nice setup, tables, and chairs not too close together. Our server was really nice and friendly and attentive. The entire staff was friendly. THE FOOD: 1. **Fried Fish** Crispy, golden perfection. The fried fish was a symphony of crunch and tenderness. The batter clung to the fish like a flavorful armor, creating a satisfying contrast with each bite. 2. **Mac-n-Cheese** The macaroni and cheese were a comforting hug for the soul. My daughter and I had lunch at T Leblanc's in Slidell, Louisiana yesterday, and let me tell you--the food was outstanding! This spot really knows how to deliver when it comes to flavor. Everything we tried was excellent! They have a great menu and daily specials. I found out about this place by watching the RB & D guy's review on YouTube The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly and efficient. We spoke with the owner who was very welcoming. She sent us home with some extra dessert since it was Friday and they were closing for the weekend. Overall, it was a great dining experience. This was a wonderful find off the highway on our way from New Orleans to Mississippi for a quick satisfying lunch. My husband and I shared the crab and corn bisque, shrimp po boy and salad. T's food is absolutely delicious! I can't say enough about the food, the great service and the restaurant itself. I actually asked my waitress if I could take her home with me because she was so helpful! She went above and beyond with us and our leftovers. I don't know how but the breading on the fried shrimp was so light and fluffy and tasty it blew me away! Normally the breading is burnt or too crispy/hard, floury (if that's a word), and just yuck. T Leblanc's is a Slidell gem! This restaurant consistently serves up delicious, cooked from scratch, food. Today, we had the Pastrami Sandwich and the Gumbo/Boudin Balls, along with the Fried Green Tomato Appetizer. The pastrami was absolutely spot on and their gumbo is on par with the best I've had anywhere. Leblanc's has the best fried dishes of any place we've been to and the Fried Green Tomatoes were crispy and light....fried perfectly. Unbelievable experience. IT was so nice to walk in to a restaurant and be greeted with respect. I called ahead to make sure to get a table I know they fill up fast. Good thing I did. Walked right in past the crowd and sat down. The Waitress was amazing and was prompt and very nice in appearance. The food we ordered came out without a long wait and was flavoured better than any restaurant in the Slidell area. Was just so nice to find a great place to eat. Corn and crab bisque was delicious. I won a gift certificate to this place and that's what initially got me here. Didn't even know they were here honestly. Turned out to be a good call. Nice local, neighborhood sort of restaurant. Ordered the Cajun two step which consisted of one seafood item and one other entree item. I got the Fried Catfish and Seafood Gumbo. Both of them were very nice and I would definitely get them again. The prelude was a side salad which looked like a pile of lettuce with a couple of pieces of other things underneath. It was fresh and crisp in terms of taste but was lacking something in the presentation. THAT BEING SAID - it was a very good meal, the mains, as I said, were very nice, the French bread slices were just right and enjoying those with a Pinot Grigio and everything else - it just worked. After the meal I tried the Coconut Cream Pie which was OFF THE CHAIN. Maybe the best version of that I've ever had - all homemade. That was a memory maker! One final word about my server for the day - Maria - she was friendly, professional, fast and attentive. Would come back just for the great service. C'est bon! You can't go wrong grabbing a bite here. The muffaletta is about as good as it gets. If you're stopping by for lunch, you'd better be there early. The small parking lot will be filled and the tables all taken. A good time for lunch is about 1:15 when about 1/2 of the noon crowd has finished their meal and headed out the door, and you can finish your meal before they close at 2:30 for the lunch service. read more

They always have great specials such as the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and they have great food available all the time like the smash burger and the sampler bisque and gumbo. Wow this place was great!! We were driving cross country on I10 and randomly took the exit nearby. A little search online lead us to T Leblanc's. We split the half Muffaletta and paired it with a cup of corn and crab chowder. Finished with their lemon merengue pie. Wow everything was fabulous. The Restaurant has been here for years but my wife and I just recently tried it. The food is good, home cooked favorites. I love the fried chicken and sides. My wife loves the Butter Beans with paneed chicken. They have delicious desserts. They are only open 4 days a week and only about 4 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday so get there early. This was our first and last time at T Leblanc's. As you all know with the pandemic capacity is limited so they were not busy. Middle of the week date night was an epic fail. We ordered the soup appetizer. Have you ever shared a soup appetizer with someone across the table? You are bound to dribble unfortunately we had no napkins. About ten minutes after we finished soup sampler the bread that was supposed to come with it arrived. It was hard as a rock and crumbled which made a huge mess on the table again we still had no napkins. We finally got our waitress's attention. Asked for napkins and asked if the bread was supposed to come with the soup sampler and told her how hard and dry it was. She said yes, they had some issues in the kitchen. Next came out our meal. I had a club sandwich which was so dry and hard I couldn't eat it because my mouth was sore after a few bites. My fiancée's shrimp po boy was dry also and lacking shrimp. We counted the pieces there were 6 small shrimp. You didn't get shrimp in every bite. My fiancée attempted to eat my sandwich but couldn't because it was hard and dry and we had no drinks left at this point. When we got the check we told the waitress the issues and she went to the manager/owner whom just simple said there was nothing they could do. you could clearly tell the waitress was embarrassed to come and tell us this. We took the dry rock hard leftovers home to give to the dogs since I was stuck paying for it some one mine as well get something out of it, it was not fit for human consumption. Our son unknowing it was for the dogs put it in the refrigerator for me when we got home. My fiancée was brave and tried to eat my club sandwich the next morning which you all know a toasted sandwich is normally going to get soggy from sitting in the refrigerator over night but not this one. Today was my first dine-in restaurant visit since 3/13. I was pleased to find masks wearing employees. Friday's catfish plate special was great! Instead of baked macaroni. I opted for double green beans. The lettuce salad with home made remoulade dressing was very tasty and the onion rings alone will have me going back for more. Since lunch was so filling, I brought most of my catfish and onion rings home. I also ordered a slice a lemon meringue pie to go. It is sooo gooood! I was looking for my Grandma.
