The place was busy but the service was great and kind to a couple of tourists. Prices are really low for the quality and quantity. Honestly the worst dining experience I've had in the past 10 years. Food took 30 minutes to come out, and it was undercooked and the fries were soggy. When I tried to ask for a refund the cashier rudely told me that's not possible although I was not happy with the food nor the service. Was overcharged and overall a terrible experience. My brother and I were traveling to Baton Rouge and found this gem. It's delicious and as far as I can tell, super authentic- they've been there for at least 30 years! I even ran into a woman a bit later working at a gas station and mentioned the food/ place and she lit up and said how much she loves it and worked there for 4 years. Maybe we came on a bad day, but food was average at best. The crab cakes were decent but were much too salty. Got the boudin balls as an appetizer and they were very plain tasting. My wife's shrimp was very tiny and the sweet potato fries were way too salty. I was real disappointed as were heard they were good. Maybe we will try them again on another day. read more

Eat at a place you never have before Two Sisters sounded good and met both of the above requirements I started off with a good green salad with honey mustard, then a great cup of chicken/sausage gumbo!!! So what this place lacks in flare the sister's make up for in quality and service. If you get within 30 miles of this classic dive you have to go. I was there with three other coworkers for lunch. Two of us have the smothered catfish special and two of us had the red beans and rice special. Holy smokes, tons of food and tasted awesome! I needed a nap in the parking lot afterwards.
