Stopped in to grab some lunch during our trip. We tried the shrimp Po boy dressed with a side of sweet potato fries. There was plenty of seating while we waited for the food. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Even the other customers were friendly lol The sandwich was great, I loved the bread. Sweet potato fries never fail so I was also happy with that. We tried several different dishes and all were excellent. You do orfmder at the counter before choosing a table. They bring out the food once it's prepared by locating the order # you are given at the counter. The food comes out piping hot and spectacularly-flavored! We tried the Connie chicken sandwich. Think Chick Fil A if it was actually good. Two non-Chick Fil A fans loved it and so did a die-hard Chick Fil A fan! We tried the poor boy Philly and a poor boy shrimp and oysters. Supposedly the oyster one was best because it had a little more of a fish taste. So it'll depend on if you like that. The shrimp one was also good as was the Philly. We tried one of the bowls and a Cary sandwich. Their fries were off the hook! Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Great people. Nice setting and clean bathrooms. Stopped in for lunch. Was excited for a po' boy sandwich. Got the grilled shrimp on a 6" bread. Should have gotten the fried shrimp, but know better for next time. My wife got the shrimp salad. Everything was good, but not great, hence the 4 stars. Nice staff who checked on us and got drink refills. read more

The food is New Orleans based and Southern cuisine. It's is decadent. I have ordered several items from the menu and I'm never disappointed.

I have been hearing good things from the locals about this place. I decided to give them a try since they were also promoting themselves as having a New Orleans flavor. Unfortunately, my experience was not a great one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor was very nice and clean. My complaint was primarily with the food. I guess my expectations were high since I have had some really good experiences with places in the New Orleans area. I found the price to be high for the quality of the selections. I ordered a club sandwich on a bun for $8. The ham and turkey were two pieces of processed Oscar Meyer cold cuts along with a rubbery piece of Swiss cheese and a small piece of overcooked bacon. It was absolutely terrible and it would have been overpriced at $4.00. I was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. I still grasped for hope in a roast beef poboy. That hope was quickly extinguished after tasting it. It was very overpriced, dry, and extremely salty. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being awful and 10 being absolutely delicious, I would rate the experience as a 3. Most of those 3 points were rooted in the friendly smiling staff and decor. I hardly ever write reviews but I just had their gumbo and potato salad and it was AMAZING!! Being from Louisiana I judge people by their gumbo and usually never order it from a restaurant because they always make it weird. This gumbo has the perfect taste! Absolutely amazing! And the potato salad tastes like they used potatoes that were lightly boiled in a seafood boil. 10/10!! read more

First stop in Picayune was this place, and well worth it! Prices are good if you're not starving, and if you are, you can still fill up with a drink for $15. I had the shrimp pony. Excellent! The onion rings are the spindly small ones, so lots of batter. Good flavor, but i prefer more onion and less batter. VERY friendly staff, great remoulade, good vibes all-round. I am born and raised in New Orleans and my favorite thing to eat is a roast beef poboy. And omg. I was in heaven. There is nothing like ordering a poboy and getting it on a roll. They have authentic French bread and it was delicious! I highly recommend. Will make this place a regular spot. read more
