The BBQ shrimp were absolutely amazing--some of the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The fried green tomatoes topped with crab meat were incredible as well--such a great combination of flavors and a definite must-order. I also had the wedge salad with chicken and sautéed red onions, and it was excellent. Fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. A special shout-out to Katherine at the bar. She was extremely attentive, super sweet, and made the whole experience even better. Great service that really makes this place stand out. What a great find! This is a really convenient location here in Slidell with nice decor and very friendly service. We started with great cocktails and the seafood queso. Very tasty!! For dinner I had the mahi-mahi and I LOVED it. Husband had the shrimp and grits. It was a little flat tasting and needed some seasoning, but it was good. We finished with a strawberry cake and lemon cake. Both were very good, but we really wanted the banana bread pudding which they unfortunately were out of. I finally made it to Audibert's and I really loved it. I was greeted by the Manager and hostess, Katherine and she rolled out the red carpet for a fantastic dining experience! The bar service was fantastic and the cocktail I had was creative and delicious! Try the crawfish queso for an appetizer- yummy! I had a classic shrimp and grits with redfish added and it was anything but "typical". I loved every bite! The finale- banana bread pudding! This was a 10 out of 10! Absolutely terrible food. Ordered the crab cakes benedict and the eggs were hard boiled, the crab cakes were burnt and the hash browns were just little slivers of barely cooked potatoes. My wife also ordered a cheeseburger that was an unseasoned hockey puck. However, the service was good. We decided to give Audiberts Bistreaux a try last night and it did not disappoint. Everything on the menu sounds amazing but I had the shrimp and grits with redfish on top! So flavorful. Probably one of the best I've tasted in a while. For dessert I had the Banana bread pudding and oh my! Delicious! This place is like a Slidell hidden gem. It's a very nice restaurant which also happens to have the cutest outside seating. The service was amazing! Didn't take pictures of the dishes so you'll just have to go see for yourself. **NEW Restaurant Alert** What a nice surprise. It's definitely a hidden gem. My husband and I stumbled upon this place on our first date day in forever. We took in a moving and then headed to Old Town to see if there was anything we wanted. While driving through, we saw the sign for this place. I immediately googled it, looked at the pictures, the menu, and said, "Let's try it." So glad we did. SUNDAY BRUNCH!!! Greeting and Ambiance These are the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. We weren't greeted upon entering and had to ask if we just seat ourselves to the bar tender, and she said yes. We chose a high top table. There were 3 wooden high tops and about 5 or - seater tables and a bar with seating. I could not quite put my finger on the anesthetic they were going for, but it was clean and not a deal breaker for us. Drinks They have a full bar and have a cool selection of Mules (Tennesee, Mexican, Irish..etc). They were deletions and come in these mule cups that are a pretty good size. Food Here is where the drooling begins ! For an appetizer, we got their Bananas Foster Beignets...the syrup was so good I wanted to lick the plate. The Beignets were a great density and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Redfish and Grits... I did try and get it blackened, but it came out fried. I'm secretly glad it came out wrong. It also came with shrimp, which I didn't realize, so it was a pleasant surprise. The crispy crust was flavorful and added great contrast to the gouda corn grits. Everything was so balanced and delicious!!! My husband git the shrimp ang grits... he inhaled it. Lastly, we added the loaded home fries. Potatoes were cooked perfectly, as was the bacon. Crispy with the cheddar cheese melted on top with a chive garnish. We definitely couldn't eat all of the food we ordered, but it was all amazing! At the end of the meal, one of the partners checked on our table, and we learned that they had just opened a few weeks earlier, and then he took me on a tour of the place. Figured we would give it another try, never again. Spinach dip was mediocre, ordered the fried shrimp platter, didn't want the fish. Waitress brings out the food, and my husband inquires about the hush puppies. She said it didn't come with that, but would ask if they'd make some, and they did. But you knew for a fact, the menu said otherwise. Baked Mac, is not at all baked. Red wine is served cold. Tried Bistro 55 first time. Wife got the Chicken sandwich and I got the Guacamole bacon burger. Both came with fries that were very good as fries go. i believe they were coated with something, crispy and hot. Both the Burger and The Chicken breast were "blackend" not grilled. This made a crust on the surface of the meat which was quite enjoyable. The bun was sour dough and the inner surface was grilled/toasted. I kinda with the outer was toasted but it was not. The bacon was thick cut applewood smoked and cooked perfect (crispy). Each sandwich had a thick slice of Gouda cheese that was melted nicely. Overall our meal was good. I cannot comment n any of the other menu items. I will say the ambiance of the restaurant is nice except the interior dining room was a little too bright. Love this place. Super accommodating owners and great wait staff ( shout out to Sherry). We have eaten here several times; the food is always delicious! Especially recommend fettuccine shrimp Alfredo and blackened red fish w crab (so good!!!). Great happy hour drink prices and on Friday notes there's sometimes a band. Indoor and outdoor seating. Visited Bostro 55 last night, first time customers. We were looking for a comfortable restaurant with entertainment and this fit the bill. Small two piece band very good! Food was 8/10 and we were totally enjoying ourselves until the very rude moon pie crew came in. I understand that the establishment needs the revenue but there is a way to handle it. My husband was bumped in his seat from behind twice while eating. Another couple took their food to go and a third couple left immediately. People hollering over the music, totally disrespectful to the band and the diners. Management could have handled this better.
