Crab Cake Eggs Benedict yummy !
    Monique H.

We got a combo plate one sausage egg Benedict and one fried chicken eggs Benedict both are on their homemade grilled biscuits and they were FABULOUS!! The FRIED CHICKEN EGGS BENEDICT IS MUST ITS FABULOUS!!! I would definitely return to this hidden gem of a restaurant just for the Chicken Eggs Benedict it was that good. I should note tho both the sausage and the chicken eggs Benedict are served on their homemade grilled biscuits with the traditional southern white sausage gravy instead of hollandaise sauce which was a delicious touch and compliments the flavors. The crab cake eggs Benedict was served with the original hollandaise sauce and it was delicious... the crab cakes eggs Benedict is served over a layer of shredded hash-browns that I feel could have been cooked a little more crispy and the crab cake could have been cooked more crispy with less stuffing more crabmeat added especially since the crab cake and/or the hash-browns were serving as the English muffin part of traditional eggs Benedict. Don't get me wrong WE LOVE THIS PLACE .... It is a hidden gem and will be regulars. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!!! Well worth the trip. Casual attire, hometown waitresses who know their regulars and their regular orders nice hometown vibe ! The table next to me ordered pancakes and were raving over the pancakes. Next time we come we will get pancakes, fried chicken and waffles so stay tuned for that review !

    Chicken tenders, Mac n cheese

Food & service were great- Karen took awesome care of us. Big portions, everything we had was super tasty. You can hear the microwaves running & opening/closing, which is consistent with how the Mac n cheese came out- great taste but definitely made in a large batch & reheated in a microwave. The bathroom is the most dirty & gross any of us had ever used. There was loose bait on top of the A/C we were seated next to, which was unappealing. I would be shocked if they had ever passed a health inspection

Quite honestly the best breakfast I've ever eaten and the most friendly service. I ordered the signature platter that featured creamy eggs, delicious home potatoes, a buttery "grilled" biscuit and a corned beef hash that had me weak at the knees. I also enjoyed their fluffy homemade pancakes and blueberry preserves that had the perfect amount of sugar. After eating there, I now understand why Guy Fieri loves the place so much. 10/10 I would def eat here again! PS it was really refreshing to eat at a breakfast spot that actually seasons their food^^

Places like this are the reason a road trip beats a flight every time. Awesome, quaint, home cooking cafe, with excellent friendly service. I had the 12" roast beef po-boy with brown gravy, and it had that home made deliciousness thats hard to find in a restaurant. If you like onion rings, don't miss out on the perfectly golden crisp colossal onion rings, batter had just the right seasoning kick.

I learned about this restaurant this morning from staff in my doctor's office. The scrambled eggs, new york strip steak, seasoned breakfast potatoes, and raisin bread toast breakfast platter was delicious! Chef's kiss! Excellent customer service!

Best poboy I've had in awhile. Fries were crispy. Waitress was super busy but very quick and efficient. I'll definitely be back with the family.

The image shows a menu from La Pines Cafe, a diner established in 1991, offering Southern-style comfort food. The menu features the cafe's name, a slogan about comfort food, and colorful signs indicating the restaurant's focus on diners, drive-ins, and dives. The menu is placed on a table with a checkered cloth, and part of a cup with the cafe's logo is visible.

This place is dope. Featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, And Dives, this place does not disappoint. It has a very family atmosphere. The place served lots of variety of food. The food is really good like a parent made it.

Shrimp plate - A white oval plate contains fried shrimp, French fries, and two hush puppies. The plate is set on a blue and white checkered tablecloth with a fork and knife nearby. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment.

Food and service were amazing! We had a large group and food came out fresh and delicious.

The image shows a plate containing a sandwich with bread, a baked potato topped with melted cheese and sautéed mushrooms, and a serving of potato chips. The sandwich appears to have a filling, possibly with vegetables or meat, and the baked potato is garnished with cheese and mushrooms. The potato chips are crispy and golden. The background includes a blue and white checkered tablecloth.

Working with Cate was an absolute highlight of the planning process. Her communication was exceptional throughout, and she consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was thoughtfully handled. We met multiple times, and at each meeting she took the time to understand our vision, address any concerns, and adapt plans accordingly. She was incredibly flexible, creating and adjusting different layout options depending on weather scenarios, and always made us feel confident that everything would come together seamlessly no matter the circumstances. One of the most memorable parts of the planning process was the tasting Cate arranged for us--it was beautifully done and helped us feel completely confident in our menu selections. Her attention to detail and commitment to creating a personalized experience truly stood out. On the day of the event, everything was flawless. The space was transformed beautifully, the food was outstanding, the drinks were excellent, and the service was impeccable. Every element came together perfectly, and it was clear how much care and effort went into making our day special. Overall, our experience was nothing short of incredible. I highly recommend Meribo to anyone planning an event, you will be in the best hands!

That's clearly communicated when you're greeted, so naturally it sets the expectation for shareable portions. We started with the ricotta and meatballs. Overall, portions felt on the smaller side, but the ricotta, especially at $18, was honestly a bit shocking in size. When we asked about it, a server jokingly said "inflation." I get it, but still. The two guys I dined with come here often and were actually the ones pointing out that portions have seemed to shrink. For mains, we each ordered a pasta. One was a server recommended agnolotti with crab, corn, and roe. It was decent, but the broth felt a bit too loose and could've used more depth and richness. That said, the crab portion was generous, the pesto was great, and the red sauce pasta was solid. We also ordered two pizzas, hands down the highlight of the meal. Easily the best thing we had. One small but off putting detail, the red pepper flakes were served in an open jar rather than a shaker. It made me question how many hands had been in it, especially since it appeared to have been reused from another table. Not the most sanitary presentation. Dessert was a strong finish. Panna cotta, tiramisu, and olive oil cake were all fresh and delicious. Drinks included a cocktail for me and beers plus an espresso martini for the table, all fine. Service wise, things started okay but felt rushed toward the end. We even mentioned we were still picking at food and what seemed to be a manager still cleared plates from the table. The tables themselves are also very small, which doesn't help when you're doing family style dining. Our server appeared to be training someone but never introduced them, which made things feel a bit awkward. Also, when resetting silverware, it felt rushed and a little careless, almost tossed onto the table rather than placed. Overall, the experience was good but not great. The food had its highlights, but portion sizes versus price and some service missteps held it back. 6/10, and honestly it reminded me why I hadn't felt the urge to come back before.

The main dining room is inviting and stylish in an understated way. Our server was super friendly and the food was excellent. We had an appetizer sampler to start - hubs wasn't fond of the thick batter on the calamari but also noted it was tender and tasty. My family is Italian and had Italian friends who owned a shop and made their own homemade Italian sausage... I'm not saying Mandina's makes their own but one bite took me back. I think the texture would have been better served in grilled chunks rather than the slices that tasted fried; the crispy surface area of the cut exposed interior wasn't bad but not my preference. Also included was fried stick of eggplant which was some of the best I've had. I ordered the veal parm for my entrée that was cooked perfectly, the marinara was exquisite and the perfect ratio to the veal and the pasta. Another entrée ordered was the shrimp bordelaise but switch the shrimp out for a veal cutlet which they were happy to do as my daughter doesn't eat tomato sauce but was eager to try the veal. The down side was that their bordelaise wasn't traditional bordelaise of the red wine sauce variety; the dish turned out to be like pasta tossed with garlic and butter and we wish we had known. When I asked the waitress if it would be traditional bordelaise she confirmed that it was, which was why we ordered it. That it turned out not to be was a let down. But all-in-all this was a great dining experience for all the right reasons. If you're like me and hate being stuck in touristy eateries, hop the street car down Canal and tell the conductor to let you off at Mandina's and thank me later.
