We were in a big group, about 18 people. The food was great! Even though we were 45 minutes late they still served us with a good attitude and an eager environment. The place itself was beautiful and we were seated in the room with the wine and overall it was a very nice evening.

I went here for my birthday last night. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. We choose to go with the Chefs 5 course meal. It was crab fingers, fettuccini Alfredo, salad, lasagna, and limoncello cake. Everything I had was delicious and hot. Let me repeat.....not a single piece of food came out if that kitchen lukewarm or cold. Not a string of pasta. Even the bread. Glorious. But what was cold was the inside of the restaurant, lol freezing. The only issue that I saw was they tables could have been spread out a little better. Everyone was so close together given it's a pandemic.

Impastato Cellars is always recommended by locals for a nice Italian dining experience. They offer a 5 course chef's menu that allows you to taste a wide variety of their offerings. I have eaten here on several occasions, but always leave slightly underwhelmed. Many of these classic dishes are so loaded with butter that you lose the true flavors of what you are eating. On the other hand, they offer large portions and they never skimp in the delicacies, like crabmeat. We did order the course meal. I started with the stuffed artichoke bottom. It had nice amounts of crab meat and shrimp, but it is drenched in butter. You then receive a plate of their fettuccini Alfredo followed by the house salad. Both of these dishes are very good! I had the redfish Marcelo, which is served with crabmeat and shrimp. It was well cooked and the portion was nice, but I wish the Marcelo sauce had a bit more lemon and a little less butter. My husband had the Veal Payton. It was delicious! My parents ordered the lasagna and the Cappellini (Spaghetti & Meatball). The lasagna is not what you imagine; it was a loose lasagna pasta with sauce. The flavor seemed off, but we couldn't quite figure out what was wrong with it... the Spaghetti was good and the red sauce is a bit on the sweet. The meatball seemed undercooked, and lacking in Italian spices. Finally dessert was served, and it was a saving grace! The desserts are phenomenal! Especially the blueberry banana pie! Refreshing and delicious! Just what you want after a big meal. My husband had the tiramisu, and it was very good as well! They were so good that we didn't mange to get photos of them before they were gone!

I ordered the short ribs and felt it was tender... but dried out. So I hadn't gone back. Well I met friends for a "supper club" we created and my opinion was completely changed. I would give them 5/5 stars now. The best part of the night was great service lead by Ms. Sydney. She understood the menu, gave recommendations and clear explanations of how items were prepared, and was quick with a joke! I literally almost spit my water out laughing at one point!!! The wine selection was amazing and paired well with the entrees ordered. I have to give a disclaimer that, at our table was the person that distributed the liquor.... So he knew what bottles were the ones we had to have with our meals. The mixed drinks were great too. I had an espresso martini, but also tasted my friends's sazeracs and old fashions. All were great! I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came as we ordered several appetizers, drinks, bottles of wine, and dessert! My bill was way less than I anticipated given the amount that we ordered! I'd def come back and I'd probably request being put In Sydney's section!

My personal favorite is the lasagna and the beef short rib, both one of the best I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. The lasagna is simply incredible and I'm fairly picky about how I like it. It's a perfect balance of fresh pasta, red sauce, meat and cheese, then perfectly baked. The food is a perfect balance between elegant and well presented but not overly pretentious, genuinely well done Italian food . Generally how I feel about the place overall, you don't have to get overly dressed up as cocktail attire or similar is the norm. Reservations at least a week out or more are advised as they usually don't have many options last minute or if you walk in.

The service was phenomenal! It was for an anniversary, and they made sure to tell us happy anniversary, and add it to a little sign that was left on our table. Now for the main part: the food. Fried Oysters and Pork Belly - very good, if you get this make sure you eat them together (that was our "best bite" for that serving). Wedge Salad - one of the best wedge salad's we have had. The blue cheese dressing was creamy (rather than chunky blue cheese). It had crispy shoestring onion strings that almost acted as the croutons. I loved every bite that included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and bacon. Delmonico Steak - this was probably our overall favorite item. Just a great steak, and large enough for both of us to enjoy. Redfish - this was good, not great. Would probably try something else other than this if we went back. Tchefuncte Potatoes - they almost were like a twice baked potato (flavor wise), but they are super creamy and fluffy and then turned into a lightly fried ball. Good and very unique. Crème Brûlée - if you like crème brûlée then you will enjoy it here. A classic dessert that was delicious. And to top it all off, the ambiance was great. It is right on the water, and service was very attentive.

The meal started off in a great note with our server Sean. Not only was he knowledgeable about the menu, but funny and truly enthusiastic about his job. Even in ten complimentary sample, Sean went back to the kitchen to grab my husband a plate that did not have bacon, as he does not eat pork. He also ensured to point out pork in all things we ordered and placing it on the side of dishes to ensure we could share the meal. We ordered the short ribs and half portions of the pumpkin carbonara and house made cavatelliEverything was excellent and even tastes great as leftovers the next day. Portions were incredibly generous! I still think the star of the show was our white bean artichoke dip. Garlicky, briney and smooth. We sopped it up with the tasty toast points and took some home for toast the next day. The apple crostini with vanilla ice cream finished off our meal on a sweet note. The natural flavors of this he fruit and real vanilla really came through. As a seasonal flavor, we are looking forward to coming back when the restaurant offers another seasonal selection.
