The food is good! We had quick service, our server was pleasant. The atmosphere in here is incredible, absolutely beautiful - it's moody, romantic, and just very magical.

Ok, so ambiance is cool. We walked in at 2:10. Ordered a sweet tea and Diet Coke.. Put food order in 2-ala carte tacos because there is no taco plate. Offered to order rice and beans ala carte. Ordered chicken fajita fries as entree rather than appetizer at 2:18. 2:30 waitress offered cheese dip on her for the wait. No one comes to the table for 50 minutes. Not to check in. No refills. 100% active avoidance. Lunch guest tells host we just want the check so we can leave. Food appears 3 minute later miraculously. Taco meat had a hint of salt. That's is all. Taco Bell across the street would have been more appetizing and satisfying. $4.00 each, rip off. The fries were interesting but an absolute mess. Not great but ok. Waitress finally checks in after we receive our food and we request a box and the bill at 3:28. Ran card at 3:32. Left a personal note on the back of merchant copy of receipt expressing the absolute disregard for quest service and overall experience. It's a shame because the place looks really nice. It's a paper dragon. Looks good but ultimately hollow. 1-star only because 0 is not an option.

My wife and I tried out a new Mexican place in Covington this evening and enjoyed it very much. Casa Tequila has an extensive menu, a welcoming staff, excellent service, vegetarian options, and a full bar, along with a trendy decor that imparts a stylish, somewhat upscale, ambiance. House margaritas, chips and salsa were good and we enjoyed excellent pork carnitas and fajitas. Casa Tequila is highly recommended!

This was our first visit to Casa Tequila and the atmosphere was so cute. I loved how spacious and spread out this place is. The chips and salsa were great! Margaritas - my husband and I ordered the frozen blackberry margarita, and my daughter ordered the lime margarita. We all ordered mediums. The medium is comparable to a small at other Mexican restaurants. The taste was good, but my daughter said the lime was way too tart and could barely finish it. So the margaritas overall were just ok. The food was decent, nothing outstanding, and if I'm being honest, a little bland. I had the enchiladas Don Juan which had 2 chicken and 2 steak, very generous portions! They were good overall. I know this restaurant is new so we may give them another chance and try different items from the menu.

Service was so bad it deserves a 0 star. Terribly slow, the waitress rarely checked in, had to ask for refills, and had to ask for basic stuff from other staff members. The restaurant was less than half full and seemed to be fully staffed, so in my opinion there was no reason for this to happen. The food -I had the 4 different enchiladas which were good, but the beans had 0 flavor. -wife had nachos, didn't really have much flavor and were just ok. The street corn was good -the other guest spilt the fajitas and said they were decent, but the rice and beans were lacking flavor. -order margaritas, took forever to come out. -surprised they had no drink menu and only 4 flavors of margaritas -no dessert menu They lost revenue since we would have ordered more drinks and desserts, but took way to long to get first round to us and didn't even ask if we wanted a second

Okay, this is my fifth visit here in five months so it's safe to say I'm either a glutton for…read morepunishment or that this place is great. Fortunately, it's the later, by a wide margin. Why you ask? Simple, it's great. My reasons: 1) Every time we've been here the service has been great. Not good, great. We've taken the time to meet/talk to the serving staff and they all have been friendly, attentive, and really good at their jobs. We have also met the owners and they too are lovely people. 2) The setting, given that's it's in a small strip mall is great. They have a large patio, plenty of umbrellas as booths, and multiple water features including a water wall. Inside the restaurant is equally beautiful. This is not Chi-Chis or some place trying to faux up the setting. 3) The food is great. If you are looking for typical Americanized Mexican, Spanish, South American food, this is not your place. If you are instead looking for great food that is more interesting, this is the place. For example, tonight we had a chicharron that looked liked two of biggest fried slices of hog heaven you could hope for. It was amazing! We also had the chimichurri sauce which was slightly different from what we have had in the past but it too was awesome! We even asked for some to go to which they said of course. 3) The portion size of most of what we've had over the five visits have almost always fit the price while things such as the steak fajitas were on the generous side for 2026. Bonus, big bonus- They are very dog friendly so your four legged and well behaved dogs are more than welcome in their spacious outdoor patio. And since the tables (not the booths) are not tightly together it's a good place even for the truly big dogs! That about covers it. So bring your fur baby, have a drink (they have some nice concoctions ) and enjoy a restaurant that recreates so many things from one of the owner's youth. And if you can sit outside, you will enjoy it even more! As always, apologies for my usually long and hopefully epic review. Cheers and happy dining all!

Top notch dining in a hidden corner with true Mexican flavor and artisan tacos. I had the…read morecarnitas....excellent! My entire meal was delicious. Somebody is really cooking in this kitchen, you can taste the slow food, deep stocks paring with bright garnishes. Im delighted this place is in my neighborhood! The interior is super cool too, and the have outside dining. Music is Carlos Santana instrumental. Prices are average, an excellent value for the experience. My new favorite Mexican place.
