Food was super good. Our server, Gabby took care of us well. We also liked the design of the restaurant and the booths were super comfy

My family and I came here to celebrate my birthday and we had the best time! To start, we ordered drinks all around: Autumn Espresso Martini flight, Autumn Mule, Pumpkin Spice White Russian, and a Spiced Brown Old Fashioned! The espresso flight included pumpkin spice, toasted marshmallow, and cinnamon and all were DELICIOUS! They were full sized and very reasonably priced. The Pumpkin Spice White Russian was a bit of a miss, but our waiter was very accommodating. For starters, we got the Seafood Dip and Zydeco Egg rolls. We knew after these arrived that this would be a new favorite spot. The seafood in both dishes was plentiful and we could not get enough of both dishes. For entrees, the table has the Skirt Steak, Bayou Mac and Cheese, Hot Honey Pepperoni Pinsa, Shrimp and Crawfish Gouda Grits, and Cajun Pasta. We were sharing with one another and did not find anything we didn't like. We decided the pizza was our favorite. The crust was perfect! For dessert, we had the Biscoff Bread Pudding and Blueberry Crumble Cheesecake. The bread pudding was so well done. It wasn't too sweet and the strawberries were perfect! The vibes were super cool with the moody lighting and table lamp. The art was very sleek and modern. We had a great waiter who gave us recommendations, checked in on us often, and was overall very accommodating. One of the best parts, is that for all of our meal we paid a very reasonable price for a quality that was super high. I couldn't recommend this place more!!! read more

Walked in and the place was super cute. Called earlier in the day for reservations for 7 and they said they did not take same day reservations but place should not be bad at 6pm and we should be seated fairly quickly. We arrived at 5:40pm and told them 7 people and were told about 40 minutes so we sat at the bar and grabbed a few drinks, waited about 40 minutes are were seated.. perfect timing. Now this is where things start to fall apart.. we sat and waited about 5 minutes for someone to show up and take drink orders and I thought should put in appetizers just in case it takes them awhile to return. A few drinks stumbled out and then appetizers came and the a few minutes later more of the drinks.. weird. Finally we ordered our entrees and while waiting finished our appetizers and then no one came and cleared the table, water was empty, drinks were low appetizer plates and appetizers vessels still on table. And wait for it... here come the entrees.. and they are placing them around an already full table.. was there no dishwashers so they didn't want to take plates back to be washed??? I put about 4 plates where my entree should have gone and they pushed the entree plate next to it and I had to ask them o remove the other plates. I feel like this is too long already.. the food? Tasted odd like it had an odd flavor I ordered the Truffle Butter Steak and it was about the size of my hand and cut in strips with onions rings on top and a small bowl of fries... for $35.00. My stunning wife orders the Shrimp fried rice and she was not impressed I tasted it and it was mushy with small shrimp. Oh I liked the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer that is the reason for the two stars. Bill came and I paid for seven of us and looked the bill and it was $381.00 with drinks no one told me the gratuity was one there already and stupid me did not look and gave them another $80.00 on top of the $60.00 on the bill yep $140.00 for horrible service.. and okay food. If you all read my reviews I honestly try to be fair and hope people have off days.. I am regretting having spent nearly $500.00 on this night read more

Absolutely loved our experience at Lumora! From the beautiful ambiance to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, we immediately felt comfortable and at home. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were absolutely delicious and probably the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had! For drinks, we tried the Hot Honey Margarita and Blood Orange Mezcal, and both were extremely flavorful and beautifully presented. The aesthetic was unmatched. My daughter had the kids' cheese pizza and was very happy with it as well. For our entrées, we went with the pistachio crusted salmon and the steak with crawfish cream sauce and fries, and both were exceptional. We also had to try the Blueberry 75 since French 75s are my absolute favorite, and it did not disappoint! Our waitress, Jillian, truly took the experience to the next level. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, and every recommendation she gave us was spot on. Overall, 10/10 experience! Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, great cocktails, and even better service. 100% recommend and definitely a must try in Covington! We will absolutely be back. read more

We just moved to the area about 2 months ago and haven't had time to go on a date, so for our first official date night we chose this place because we heard good things. The vibe of the place was super warm. We decided to take our time ordering and eating, our server Rylee was amazing and very attentive. She said that it was only her 4 or 5th shift I couldn't remember but she coulda fooled us because she definitely seemed like she knew what she was doing. The food was amazing, I got the Steak and my girl go the Hot Honey Pizza. We filled up on a drinks a little bit but we took our food to go and it will definitely be eaten later. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for a date night! (Not sure if you can request servers but I would recommend Rylee if you could!) read more

I've been waiting to try Lumora for a while now and had the chance to go on a Thursday All day Happy Hour. The inside is very pretty with cute velvet booths as well as tables. They have a nice bar area and the restrooms were very clean. All of the food that we ordered was delicious and the mixed drinks tasty and strong. They is a large selection of both food and cocktails which made it hard to choose. We enjoyed truffle fries, two choices of the flatbread pizza, Zydeco eggrolls (my favorite) and the Seafood dip. The portions were nice size as well. The reason for the 3 stars was the service. We went at 11:30 and there weee only 3 other tables of people when we arrived. Our server Asher was young and not attentive at all. We had to call him over multiple times and he never took the empty glasses or plates unless we asked. It kind of ruined my experience. I plan to try it again and see if it goes better next time. read more

Our visit to LUMORA was such a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful, very aesthetically pleasing, and has a really nice atmosphere. We started with the chicken wings with honey barbecue sauce. The wings were cooked perfectly and had a good flavor. Next were the bacon wrapped shrimp and these were one of my favorite items of the night. The hot honey sauce was so good and the presentation made them even better. The cheese pull and sauce dripping down really sealed the deal for me. Easily a 10/10. The brussels sprouts completely surprised me because they were SO good. They were topped with pecans, cranberries, pepper jelly, and parmesan cheese, and all of the toppings worked so well together to elevate the flavor of the brussels sprouts. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I've been back just for those alone. 10/10. I also tried the Bayou Mac & Cheese which was creamy, flavorful, and cooked well. My only complaint is that it was topped with tomatoes, which wasn't listed on the menu, so I would've asked for it without them, but no big deal. We also had the Cajun Pasta which was good as well. Everything came out hot & Overall, the service was excellent, everything we had was really enjoyable, and the experience matched the aesthetic of the restaurant. I'd definitely return. read more

Today, we enjoyed a Valentine's Day lunch at Lumora Kitchen and Bar in Covington. Lumora is relatively new and is by the same folks responsible for The District in Ponchatoula, which is one of our favs. Located on Highway 190, Lumora has a stylish, contemporary persona that is decidedly upscale, but still possesses a comfortable, laid-back vibe that is quite appealing. Service was friendly and efficient and Taylor took excellent care of us. General Manager Josie dropped by our table to share info on Lumora and her visit was appreciated. There is a full bar and a wide selection of specialty cocktails. Today I had a Blood Orange Mezcal Margarita and my wife had an Ex-Presso Martini. Both were great! I highly recommend the Mezcal spice served up on the Margarita's rim in place of the standard salt. We then enjoyed the Zydeco Eggroll appetizer, which the pepper jelly garnish made truly memorable. I then followed with the Buffalo Chicken Pinsa and my wife had the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pinsa. Both were excellent; hot, pleasantly spicy, and generously portioned. We took home a lot of food. Although we had no room for dessert, several on the menu looked quite sumptuous. In short, Lumora Kitchen and Bar is highly recommended! It's a great spot for lunch, happy hour drinks, or a special date night. We will return. read more

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! We are visiting for the weekend and if it were up to me, I would come here multiple times in a weekend. We got the crawfish dip, smokehouse burger, and the hot honey Cesar. Their drinks were also amazing! Everything was so good, ZERO complaints. The service was also amazinggg, such nice people! 10/10 recommend. read more

Baby, the way the server (I think her name Brooke, the one with the curly blonde hair) was treating her coworkers was DISGUSTING. I literally seen the way she was talking to her coworkers and the nasty attitude, the disrespect, the whole stank energy was just embarrassing to watch. Like girl, who hurt you?? I came here to eat, not watch you walking around acting like you own the damn place. Ain't nobody impressed by that attitude and it definitely don't make you look important. It make you look miserable and bitter. If you can't even treat your own coworkers with basic respect, that says EVERYTHING about you. Management need to get that together because ain't no way I'd want somebody like that representing my business. Nasty attitudes like that will run customers AND good employees away. Get it together Brooke. And if I could rate this experience a zero I WOULD! read more

Another great restaurant located on the Northshore! When you first walk in you will notice a modern decor. The ambiance is perfect for a date night, drink with the girls, or just dinner. My sister hosted her birthday dinner here which was also a plus. They are great with large parties and the food comes out very fast. Our server was amazing. He was able to recommend some tasty items on the menu anf let us know what othet customers have be raving about. For appetizers we started of with the eggrolls, seafood dip and honey bbq wings. (Thats what i took pictures of) we also ordered buffalo wings. Every appetizer that was ordered were awesome and very flavorful. The wings are a great sizenot those drumlettes size. The seafood dip was hot and creamy with tons of seafood. For entees: we ordered the Cajun pasta, smothered catfish, hot honey pepperoni flatbread, cajun chicken fried chicken, truffle butter skirt, and crawfish and shrimp gouda grits. When I say everything was amazing I mean everything. If I had to say my least favorite it would be the skirt steak. Its small and the truffle butter was different. But besides that the actual steak was good. The reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 were based on drinks. The mix drinks were very disappointing. There was no consistency in the drinks. I ended up just ordering a bottle of wine. I do think they should add more white wine to the list. Besides that, this is a great restaurant to try. Will def be back. read more

Went here last night for a Galentines the decor and atmosphere was intimate. Low lighting and really cutesy. Our server was amazing and handled our table of 10 with ease. She knew the menu well and helped us make tie breaker decisions when we wanted it all lol . The food was really good the only notes i had was the seafood dip was described as creamy but it came out more soupy. A few of our dishes came with mashed potatoes and the consistency of the mash was more of a potato soup. The flavors of the dishes were definitely on point so we only exchanged the mash for fries. I truly enjoyed my experience so i will be back read more

Went on a Sunday evening and we had a party of 4. The food was all delicious. We mainly just split a bunch of appetizers and also got the shrimp & grits. The brussels sprouts were so delicious that we got a 2nd order of those. We ordered the lemon drop flight and it came in a fun, unique presentation. Service was good and we had an awesome waitress named Cassidy. The only thing that could use some improvement is the ambiance. You definitely knew you were in a strip mall. The food was all so good but didn't match the atmosphere. Covering the windows would probably make a huge difference. I have edited this review because pictures that were posted, shows a nicer, darker atmosphere but it was really so bright when we ate but it was also early (5:30). We will return! read more

The food was delicious, except the bacon wrapped shrimp under cooked. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly bad and really took away from the experience. We were a table of 7, ordered appetizers, and were brought the check immediately after--before anyone ever asked if we wanted entrees or dessert. It felt extremely rushed and unwelcoming. The servers were rude, inattentive, and made us feel like they just wanted us out of there. To make matters worse, we were overcharged, and my credit card was run before I was even shown the final bill, which is completely unacceptable. Great food, but the service needs serious improvement. Sadly, that alone would keep me from returning. Disappointed coming from southshore for Christmas dinner.. owner of this restaurant, really needs to get with his staff! read more

The food is great. We got the chicken fried chicken, pizza, and the shrimp with bacon. I didn't love the shrimp but all the other food was really good. Drinks were great too. I think the interior needs a bit of work though. On the far right are a ton of booths then an awkward seating area with tables. It feels like everyone in the booth section is starring at the table sections. Maybe the booth section is too dark? I'm not sure what it is but something feels a little off. Other than that though, I really liked it and will probably be back again. read more

Glad we found this restaurant. The ambiance is amazing. The service we received was over the top. We love trying different versions of Brussel Sprouts and Lumora has easily one of the best versions we have tried. The menu has some unusual offerings from fried rice to bayou mac and cheese. They offered a loaded baked potato soup that is more like a casserole than a soup. The Mac and Cheese was very rich with seafood and cheese. They have a very attractive bar and we look forward to trying it out on our next visit. Pricing was reasonable. read more

We went on a Sunday night, party of 4. Atmosphere was nice, the odd holiday tree, the stamped wall treatment, the lighting fixtures, and the artpieces on the wall set a nice mood. You could tell that they were quite short-staffed. I felt sorry for the servers, as they were moving nonstop. It took a while for the waiter to get our order, and then to get the check to us. Their staffing situation needs to be fixed, and pronto. It really detracted from the experience. We had several appetizers. The bacon wrapped shrimp were presented in an entertaining way, hanging on a rack. They were delicious. The zydeco eggrolls were probably my favorite thing the whole night, excellent excellent excellent. I had a cheeseburger. It was a decent, but a bit too heavy on the salt. My date had the hot honey pepperoni pinsa; I tried a bit, it was great. The other couple dining with us had shrimp and grits, and the catfish. They enjoyed their dishes, complementing the food well, no complaints. All in all, a good meal. Just please fix your staffing situation, Lumora. read more
