Of course, who wouldn't love the location - on the Lakefront in Mandeville! Great interior. Excellent food choices. It was actually hard to decide what to order because they offered so many yummy choices. I settled on the duck. My friends had the soft shell crab and appetizers. We were all very happy. The portions were very large and well prepared. Amazing service. Another great new restaurant in Mandeville. No longer a need to cross the bridge or go into Covington for great food!

Had a wonderful pre-birthday meal at this awesome dining venue. The champagne we chose for our celebration was awesome. The owners were so attentive and made us feel so special! The tuna app was awesome. We had scallops and shrimp with the lobster special. Also chicken francese with the lobster special. Our waiter Grant was just so attentive and awesome!

We had a great time on our girls night! We loved the cocktail menu; they had something for everyone. Also, the arancini appetizer was amazing, and the mahi mahi was absolutely delicious. The food was also presented beautifully. We ended the meal with the creme brûlée and chocolate torte... some of the best desserts we've had on the Northshore. The only criticism is that it took a while to put in our initial drink order, but we also arrived at a very busy time. Our server was very nice. We will definitely be back, and we are planning to make it a triple date night with our husbands.

This is bar-none the best food in Mandeville. My wife and I visited this evening and were told it was a 45 min wait. We were enjoying sitting outside on the patio looking at the lake for a couple of minutes and the (I'm assuming) owner came out. We told him we couldn't get a table and he said - hold on, no problem and we were immediately seated. That said, the dinner was excellent. I had the Praline Crusted Salmon .. wow, it was the best I've ever eaten! Superb! My wife had the Softshell Pontchartrain - excellent also. Dessert was the bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I have a new favorite restaurant!!

    delicious Italian wine!

Amazingly high quality food which I did not expect to find at Mandeville. Lake view from the restaurant is also awesome.

My wife and I decided to grab lunch in historic Mandeville today, and rolled by this bar on our way home so we decided to stop in for a quick drink. And we're glad we did. Let me start off by saying that California has a "dive bar" culture. Despite what most people see on TV about the glamorous night life in Los Angeles, that's not 99% of SoCal. And to be perfectly honest, I think it's kind of funny how bougie the north shore pretends to be. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of nice and seemingly upscale establishments to visit around here so I'm not trying to offend anyone. But sometimes you just want to grab a drink in a place that's not full of pretentious people who are trying too hard. We all live in a glorified swamp, people. Accept it. Very simply: a good pour, good music, friendly patrons, and good service. That's really all that matters. And the best part is that this place doesn't have the weird hours that a lot of the places around here do. Seriously, who's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays? Do better, North Shore. Jokes aside, this is a cool, chill little bar in a great part of town.

Interference is a Mandeville dive bar…read more I am on a quest to go to new bars. Normally this quest takes place in New Orleans, but last night it brought me to Interference. I pass this bar nearly every day and have always wondered how it was, but never stopped in. I was a tad overdressed since I was coming from La Provence, but I didn't care. The bar is pretty well lit for a dive. They could probably have turned out 3/4 of the lights to make it more divey. There was a pool table and a very long shuffleboard table. Shuffleboard in bars is an excellent concept. I never had been to a bar in Nola with shuffleboard, but this is the second Northshore bar with a table that I know of. The bar is very long and lined with bar stools. Above the bar there were four TVs all tuned to sports. The area next to the shuffleboard table has around 10 or so tables and chairs which was a nice place to sit and drink. There is also an area for a band, but there wasn't a show last night. The crowd was mixed. I was the best dressed, but it ran the gamut from young tattooed service industry folks to old dudes wearing LSU gear. The bartender was young, attractive and friendly. I ordered poorly (Fancy Lawnmower-nasty), but they did have a decent selection of other drafts (maybe 4-5). There was a Guinness draft sign, but I did not confirm that they had an actual draft. In summary, interference is a sports themed dive. It was too bright, but I'll be back.

The location, directly on the St. Tammany Trace on Girod Street, is a definite winner. We dined outside today and service was excellent. We had a variety of burgers, salads, and munchables today and all were good. My Buffalo chicken salad was stellar; fresh, crispy, and generously portioned. They have a good selection of specialty cocktails and local brews, and the iced tea was good. Good things seem to be going on here. It will be interesting to see how things develop.

I tried a bait, and despite not being a big Cesar salad fan, did enjoy it. Chicken was flavorful, cooked perfectly and served on a beautiful cloves of garlic toast. Our apps were good. I am curious to try their other menu items, specifically the main dishes. A very casual ambiance, we chose to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. Our server was great and patient. He checked on us consistently through service and even gave our dog a water bowl as well.

We sat outside because it was a gorgeous day and decided to we wanted to try the charbroiled oysters. We ordered a full dozen to spilt between 2 of us. When we received the oysters it was nice that they split the oysters on 2 separate plates for us. The oysters were super tiny. They may have been a little overcooked which could have caused them to shrink, regardless, they should have either mentioned that the oysters are running small or not charge full price ($26). They tasted "ok", we've had better. We expect much more from a "Gallagher" restaurant. We will be back since we love the atmosphere and drinks, but we won't be getting the oysters!

We were in the dining room, which was a very lovely room with nice windows looking out to the lake. The outside dining upstairs has a better view of the lake, but it was still very nice. We wanted to stay in the air-conditioning. This is a good place to frequent if you live close.
