Stopped by One Thirteen twice and had two completely different experiences. The first time I visited was on a Friday, and to my surprise it was during Happy Hour. We had already eaten lunch, so I didn't order any food, but we were able to enjoy the complimentary hot, fresh bread along with some great drinks. Of all the drinks we tried, the Golden Peach, Passion Fruit Martini, and the recommended Mini Beer Shots were my favorite. I also love that they use fresh fruit and ingredients in their beverages you can really taste the difference it made. We were able to sit at the bar that day and received great service from Ashlyn. She was very nice, personable, and attentive. She made the experience feel so welcoming and pleasant that we decided to go back the very next day with more family members. Unfortunately, our Saturday visit during the Hot August Stroll was a completely different experience. And it wasn't because of how busy things were or the events taking place. The issue was the inconsiderate service we received from our waitress, C. The service was so disappointing that I won't even go into detail, but it definitely changed my overall impression of the restaurant. Would I recommend One Thirteen? After living in Hammond for three years, we heard so many great things about One Thirteen but never considered trying it until they joined RESY. We are so glad we finally did because it has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat, grab a drink, and meet up with friends. The atmosphere is lively, modern, and inviting. The service was top-notch, with our waitress consistently checking in to make sure everything met our expectations without ever being intrusive. We visited for a birthday dinner. Let me first say, Hammond has come so far from when I was at SLU in 2000. So! It was raining and freezing when I arrived, so I didn't get to see the beautiful outdoor seating, running inside from the cold. This place has an amazing vibe. Visited today and had my mind set on the crab cakes (of course lol), but they were serving a limited menu for Mother's Day, so I went with the Spring Chicken Piccata instead and I'm glad I did. I have heard so many good things about this place and finally tried it for lunch. The atmosphere is simply wonderful. It's got a trendy, upscale feel. It is a bit pricier, but I feel like the food is worth it. We got a margherita pizza and a sandwich similar to a meatball sub (I can't remember the name). Loved our experience here! We came on a week night for our friend's birthday and the service was friendly and attentive. The menu was extensive but easy to navigate. We tried a few different drinks which were all very good and strong ranging from lemon drops to margaritas and wine. Our server knew the menu well and was easy to talk to and helped with our decisions. The food was really good i only wish it had a bit more flavor for the grilled chicken. Although what it could've been missing in flavor it made up in the sauces that accompanied. I really loved that it came with an herb butter. Get all the photos because they definitely went all out on decorating. The food is great. The chicken breast is phenomenal. 10/10 for sure all the sides are worth trying. Don't really care for the potatoes myself but others like them. The drinks are cute. The servers do make rounds to check. I went once and go bread with my water. I went back for a birthday dinner and bread was not brought to the table so I was confused on that. I sat outside on patio at night and witnessed a lot of bugs so if that's not what you want to see I would say definitely sit inside. Not my first time here and we do enjoy the food. We went specifically for the Miracle Pop Up and the restaurant really did a fantastic job on the decorations. Lots of great photo ops and very festive. We had the Citrus Tuna and Asian Honey Shrimp for appetizers and they were both really good. 2 of us ordered the chicken and waffles while the other 3 ordered Steak and Eggs. I enjoyed the waffles but wasn't crazy about the chicken. It was flattened and over crispy. The steak was small and a bit tough. The Bread pudding dessert was delicious. We did like that we could get different juices with our bottle of bubbly. However, two of our glasses were dirty. We were also sat in a corner that was tight and it was hot in the restaurant. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent visit to One Thirteen was frustrating enough that I felt compelled to share. From the moment we walked in, the service was disorganized. Once seated, it took another 15 minutes before a server greeted us and even then, they seemed rushed and distracted. We ordered a few simple dishes, but the food took nearly a hour in a half to arrive. When it finally did, one dish was cold, and another was incorrect and when we brought it to the server and manager to fix it they still got it wrong and it was a ALLERGY . Rather than correcting it promptly, the server shrugged and offered a weak apology and lied and said we called her "worthless" which was NEVER said . We as business owners don't speak that way . The food itself was underwhelming--bland, lukewarm, and definitely not worth the price. We tried to speak with a manager, but our concerns were brushed off The food allergy was handled haphazardly by removing the garnish and reserving same dish Also my reservation was for 7:30. We did not receive an ETA on food until 1 hour and a half later due to one of my guest asked if the food order had been put in. Food arrived at 9:00 The incorrect burger was served on same bun that my guest bit off of and sent back. One time my drink wasn't even put in... literally took 20 minutes to get it. The food hasn't failed me yet. From the warm bread to the last bite of whatever...simply delicious! And the food presentation is always beautiful! What happened in a year? I keep hoping each new bad experience is a fluke but something went way wrong here at some point. I could tell the manager cares. The atmosphere is fantastic. Came for brunch and my Medium Well steak and poached eggs wasn't terrible, just not the way i ordered it - steak was medium in some places and medium rare in others, poached eggs were over cooked. The county potatoes were good. Wife got the $15 basic breakfast with over easy eggs. The eggs were runny (that's what i wanted!) the bacon limp, and the toast was just plain and dry (not served with butter or jelly) She asked for jelly - "we don't have any jelly!" She really wanted a cheese omelet - "you have to order it the way it comes on the menu, sorry". So she ended up eating a single runny egg for $15 - that's a record for us. I called the caring manager over at the end and showed him my last slice of rare steak. He took $12 off my bill and offered free dessert which was cool. I'd rather then just get it right. Probably won't go out of my way to come back since i live an hour away. read more

My husband ordered a beef hamburger with fried egg and he said it was pretty good. I ordered a salmon toast with a poached egg on top, it was exquisite.
