Loved our experience here! We came on a week night for our friend's birthday and the service was friendly and attentive. The menu was extensive but easy to navigate. We tried a few different drinks which were all very good and strong ranging from lemon drops to margaritas and wine. Our server knew the menu well and was easy to talk to and helped with our decisions. The food was really good i only wish it had a bit more flavor for the grilled chicken. Although what it could've been missing in flavor it made up in the sauces that accompanied. I really loved that it came with an herb butter. A chimmichurri and another sauce i couldn't place but really enjoyed. The decor was beautiful and i can't wait to try an outside lunch because the seating outside is picture worthy.

Love love love this restaurant! Location is right beside park in Hammond, la so the parking is easy! The restaurants is for sure aesthetically pleasing. Get all the photos because they definitely went all out on decorating. The food is great. The chicken breast is phenomenal. 10/10 for sure all the sides are worth trying. Don't really care for the potatoes myself but others like them. The drinks are cute. The servers do make rounds to check. I went once and go bread with my water. I went back for a birthday dinner and bread was not brought to the table so I was confused on that. I sat outside on patio at night and witnessed a lot of bugs so if that's not what you want to see I would say definitely sit inside. Will be visiting again! & will definitely report back with consistency!

Not my first time here and we do enjoy the food. We went specifically for the Miracle Pop Up and the restaurant really did a fantastic job on the decorations. Lots of great photo ops and very festive. We had the Citrus Tuna and Asian Honey Shrimp for appetizers and they were both really good. 2 of us ordered the chicken and waffles while the other 3 ordered Steak and Eggs. I enjoyed the waffles but wasn't crazy about the chicken. It was flattened and over crispy. The steak was small and a bit tough. The Bread pudding dessert was delicious. We did like that we could get different juices with our bottle of bubbly. However, two of our glasses were dirty. We were also sat in a corner that was tight and it was hot in the restaurant. Our server Chloe was great!

Tried this place today & it was very nice. The atmosphere, food, and service were very pleasant. I definitely recommend this as a place to dine. We elected to dine outside which was fine, but I'll recommend you dine inside if you choose. Great place to take your partner or friend.

The Steak Kabob with fries and my husband started with Stuffed Wedge Salad and a glass of his favorite wine

Crab cake appetizer $20

New Crab cakes vs old ones. Old ones were amazing. These new ones include crawfish & it completely changes texture and flavor. These new ones tasted borderline spoiled, 2 bites & i was done. $27, now priced mrkt but quality has decreased. Service was... slow... ambiance is beautiful. Hawaiian steak kebob was really good, our duck was so dry, wouldn't order any of it again.

Do they have bottomless mimosas at brunch? Also should you make a reservation for brunch?

They have bottomless but it's not bottomless, you just get 1 bottle of champagne and assorted juices per bottomless order.

Ask about the specials, and prepare yourself to be impressed. The kitchen staff obviously take pride in the work they do to produce such unique renditions of traditional favorites while still respecting the dish's origins. Awesome creativity going on in the back, for sure! Great food, great drinks, great service, wonderful place. If you haven't been, go see what you've been missing. Favorite appetizer: Bille's Bacon. Available with fried or grilled shrimp, or fried oysters on top of a THICK slab of bacon. Seafood rests on generous amounts of Gorgonzola cheese, and the Calabrian chili honey glaze drizzle just puts the kiss on top. KILLER grub! I had the grilled shrimp. Gulf shrimp, of course.

Pretty dope Italian spot in Hammond! OpenTable brought me and fellow teammates here for a couple…read moreteam dinners. Located in the downtown area of Hammond, this may be my favorite restaurant in the area and for good reason! The interior has the right amount of lighting to give an intimate feel and there's plenty of indoor seating where tables can be pushed together for large parties. The bar area is also comfy if you're looking to pop in for a glass of wine or a cocktail. Speaking of which, there's plenty of wine by the glass and featured bottle wines. It doesn't have as expansive of a bottle wine menu like other Italian spots but they don't need to as they offer about a dozen wines each from the USA and from the Italy/Spain/Argentina regions. So you'll find whatever you need to suit your tastes. And then there's cocktails. All the classics (Cosmopolitan, Manhattan, Old Fashioned) are here with some Italian favorites like the Negroni. The popular ones amongst us were the Limoncello Spritz (think of a vodka sparkling lemonade), the Espresso Martini, and the Basil Cucumber Gimlet. Tasty and pretty presentations! As for eats, the shareables that are must-orders are the Italian Meatballs (served in polenta w/ spicy tomato sauce), the Calamari, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Caprese Salad. These always made the table whenever we were here; the meatballs and brussels sprouts being the ones people couldn't stop eating. The turtle soup is also a good first course if you're going light. It was my first time having turtle soup and I enjoyed the heck out of it! For pastas/entrees, it depends how heavy you want to go. The pastas that we loved were the Fusilli and Casarecce. The Fusilli has a cajun spicy tomato base w/ shrimp, italian sausage, basil, and mushrooms; an excellent combination of ingredients for a delicious pasta dish. The Casarecce is more simple using a parmeson garlic cream sauce and a pan-fried breaded chicken breast on top. For entrees, the pork osso buco, duck breast, and diver scallops were all wonderful. The osso buco especially being super tender was a crowd-pleaser. They also have a filet mignon special w/ a fried potato cake and asparagus garnish finished in a red-wine demi glaze; this special was ordered by several people each time and had all of us oohhh'ing and ahhh'ing every time it was delivered. The filet is super tender and the potato cake is a great complimentary side to it. For dessert, we usually share the house cheesecake which has chocolate chips and caramel with a cookie crust; a perfect way to finish off the meal. That's if we save room for dessert! This spot is a must-visit and a place we plan to frequent whenever we're in Hammond. They also have a lot of gluten-free options in case you have a gluten intolerance. Do yourself a favor and check this spot out; you won't regret it!

I was able to get the most delicious bloody mary while my husband had a crown and 7. There is a cool selection of liquor to browse. We bought a couple bottles that we had never seen before. The guy working seemed pretty knowledgable about the bottled liquor and was quick to answer any questions they had. He gave us prompt and courteous service. They also had a cooler with wines and a separate cooler that actually had some steaks and cheese. My husband and I joked about it being a one stop shop for Valentine's day! It did lose one star because it was a bit dusty in there. It could use a good cleaning.

Gorgeous wood bar, pictures and mementos behind the bar the regulars have given to them over their 75 years of operation, along with the nicest bartenders you'll ever meet. Decent beer selection, great wine and liquor selection, and a retail section up front with steaks and other items for gifts. My advice to you is to hit this place up on a Saturday afternoon, order your cocktail of choice then just observe the regulars sitting at the bar around you. The character of each of these people is often imitated but never quite duplicated and it makes this place unique and somewhere I'm proud to call home.

Our recent New Years Eve visit fell short of the standards this restaurant once upheld. We had our…read morewedding here 7 years ago and had an amazing time. Although we specifically requested a table downstairs, we were instead seated upstairs in what appeared to be an attic-like space off in the corner. The area was poorly arranged, and above our table a hanging light bulb shone directly into our eyes creating an uncomfortable environment. We left this table and went to express our concerns to the hostess. There were plenty of open tables downstairs but she said they were reserved for 7pm when our reservation was for 6pm. My wife said we will just sit at the bar if we have to. We were then placed at a table in a hidden spot beside the fireplace. I say hidden because the lady refilling water forgot about us several times. In addition, portion sizes are small while prices are quite expensive resulting in a disappointing imbalance between cost and value. Dinner for two was $240 not including tip. $62 for a 6oz filet then up charge when asked for more bread!!!! The one redeeming aspect of the experience was our server, Devin, who provided excellent service--professional, attentive, and genuinely courteous. His efforts stood out in an otherwise unsatisfactory visit. He was assigned upstairs but took care of us at this downstairs table.

It started with a nearly 30 minute wait for our first round of cocktails. Then, over an hour for appetizers that came out in drips and drabs. When the main courses arrived two were raw! "I'm so sorry for the wait tonight - we were very busy." No. You weren't busy, you were under prepared. You had reservations so you knew what to expect. If your bartenders are slow because they're chit chatting with customers seated at the bar, you should have a service bartender dedicated to making drinks for the dinning room. If the kitchen is out of goat cheese, you should communicate that to the guest instead of bringing them an item without a key ingredient. Servers should NEVER touch a guests silverware to "make room" for plates or drinks Also "I've only worked here for 3 months so I don't know" is something I should never hear from wait staff. It wreaks of incompetence and poor training. Jacmel has been a sinking ship for years. You've been squeaking by on nostalgia and inertia but last nights disastrous Christmas Eve service was the final straw for my family.

Staying in Hammond in mid-September, a coworker mentioned this spot so we both trekked down south…read moreto check it out. We got here around 8ish in the evening and it was raining so not many people here. So we propped up at the bar and ordered. I was in a martini mood so Gin martinis were my calling; they made them the way I like: slightly dirty w/ extra olives. I can't remember how many of those I ordered but they went down smooth. I didn't want to order anything heavy so I decided on the Brussels Sprouts and a cup of the Chicken/Andouille Gumbo. The Brussels were crispy and had a nice soy glaze to cap it off. They garnished it with some peeled scallions which gives a nice finish. I'm a sucker for Brussels Sprouts; if they're on the menu, I'm very likely gonna order them. The gumbo was pretty good, had a tomato richness to it. I forgot what my friend ordered; probably cause I had too many martinis. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond but it's worth it. Check it out when you're in the area!

5 Stars -- Incredible food, generous portions, and the BEST desserts!…read more We came in with a big group -- kids, grandkids, the whole family -- and we were blown away by how good the food was across the board. We started with the fried boudin balls and crispy house-smoked bacon. Both were delicious and packed with flavor. We also shared a bowl of red beans & rice, and even my one-year-old grandson devoured it (and wore a good portion of it on his face!). The brunch board was a huge hit -- such a fun assortment of waffles, pancakes, pastries, fruit, sausage, bacon, and more. Truly something for everyone, and perfect for sharing. For mains: * I had the Trout Almondine with cheese grits -- and those grits were honestly the BEST I've ever had. Creamy, cheesy, and perfect. * My daughter ordered the ribeye and loved it. * My husband had a burger and cleaned his plate. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. We weren't disappointed in a single item. And then... the desserts. Oh my goodness. We tried the cheesecake, pecan pie, and bread pudding. The cheesecake was the best I've ever had, and my daughter agreed. The pecan pie tasted like something straight out of a grandmother's kitchen -- my husband said it was the best he's ever had. The bread pudding was rich, warm, and equally delicious. The staff was friendly and patient with the kids, which made the evening stress-free and fun. Bottom line: we loved everything -- from appetizers to dessert -- and we will absolutely be back!
