Overall, this was an okay coffee shop in a convenient downtown location. The space is quite large,…read morewith plenty of seating inside, including an additional seating area toward the back. There were several people working on their computers, so it seems like a good place to get some work done or enjoy a coffee. I ordered a cappuccino, which I believe was around $6. Personally, I thought that was a little pricey, especially considering there are other coffee shops nearby that offer cappuccinos for a bit less. I've also visited other coffee shops in the area where I preferred the overall atmosphere. The staff experience was a little mixed. Not everyone was unfriendly, but some of the interactions didn't feel particularly warm or welcoming. It wasn't a major issue, just something I noticed during my visit. The coffee shop also appeared to serve food, although I wasn't offered a food menu and didn't happen to see one displayed, so I decided to just order coffee. I chose to sit outside on the patio, which was nice and quiet. It was a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy my drink. The restroom was also clean and well-maintained. However, there is only one single-person restroom, which seemed a little limited considering how large the coffee shop is. Overall, it was a decent experience. I appreciated the spacious seating, quiet patio, and central downtown location. While I personally preferred the atmosphere and pricing at some of the other nearby coffee shops, this one still has its positives. It wasn't my favorite stop, but I wouldn't mind visiting again.

Many of them are well-traveled and were pleasantly shocked at this gem hidden away in Louisiana horse country. *Thru the Jazz In The Vines events we've met and made many new friends that we jokingly call the Wino Club. *Lincoln and Melissa run an easygoing, friendly operation that greets you with open arms and warm smiles. *Lincoln's love of winemaking shows itself in the quality and accessibility of his wines. We especially love the Grenache. *I don't know how Lincoln does it but he consistently books some top-flight musicians for their Spring and Fall concert series. *In addition to the Spring and Fall concerts, the Wine Club members enjoy excellent benefits like wine & food pairing events and great prices on wines that are already at a bargain price-point. *during the Jazz events, the ladies behind the bar may be busier than hungry alligators at a petting zoo but they will always have time to ask how you are doing, give you a smile and show you how much they appreciate your patronage. Who knows; maybe it's cuz they have eaten my homemade Florida Smoked Fish Dip! So stop back by and let the cares of the world slip away. See you soon!

The building reminded me more of what I would encounter in northern Sonoma, to the west of Healdsburg, or further south in the Paso Robles region. The tasting room is a decent size, although as I was the only visitor at the time, it seemed quite large. Quite a different experience from trying to enter on a Saturday night of a Jazz'n in the Vines concert. There is a patio terrace next to the building which overlooks the vineyard. Since it was a blazing hot June afternoon, I stayed inside rather than sit on the patio. There were seven wines to taste for a modest $5 fee. Four were from sourced grapes (California), two were American/French hybrids grown on the estate and the final was from a native American cultivar, also grown on the estate. All vintages were between 2005 & 2007, except for the recently released Syrah/Cabernet blend which is a 2009. I liked the Roux Saint Louis (a white wine based on the Blanc du Bois grape) as a nice summer wine. The Rouge Militaire is based on the American Cynthiana/Norton (a native red grape). It's a heavier red wine, and still needs a little time to open up. John Seago, the winemaker is often behind the bar, in the tasting room, but was out working the fields on this trip.

Located in a beautifully repurposed home in downtown Covington, this charming spot exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly shown to our table in one of the restaurant's small but thoughtfully decorated dining rooms. We started with the house-made whipped ricotta at our server's suggestion. Lightly topped with rosemary honey and served with grilled ciabatta, it was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Chicken Molli while I chose the Pork Cheek Marsala. Both dishes were phenomenal. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, so I guess we'll just have to return, which I'm sure won't disappoint my wife in the slightest. When we received the bill we were both surprised because we had expected it to be significantly higher than it was based on the service and quality of the food. The attentive staff, inviting atmosphere, and excellent food all help make this place stand out. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Marcello's has an upscale, yet very comfortable, persona and excellent service that combined for an elegant dining experience. Before dinner cocktails were refreshing and we then enjoyed Caesar salad and tomato basil soup before our main courses of chicken parmigiana and chicken molli, both of which were tasty in a traditional way. A tasty cannoli followed up. My wife enjoyed a Pinot Grigio with dinner, and I a very full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which was the chef's evening's special recommendation. Marcello's has our recommendation for a special night out.

You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into creating the atmosphere, even down to the restrooms, which were spotless and beautifully decorated. I think this would be a cute spot for a girls' brunch, a date, or a special occasion. They also offer cocktails, and I found the prices to be reasonable for the type of experience they are trying to provide. One thing worth mentioning is that the exterior does not quite match the interior. The restaurant is located in a shopping center, so you might not expect such a fancy atmosphere when you first arrive. They also have outdoor seating, which is cute but doesn't necessarily reflect the upscale vibe inside. Unfortunately, I felt the service and food didn't quite live up to the atmosphere. There was only one server working during my visit, and although she was pleasant enough, she wasn't particularly attentive. There were only two occupied tables, including mine, yet I eventually had to walk up to the bar to request my check because she never returned to my table. I also think the staff's appearance could better reflect the restaurant's presentation. With such an elegant, high-end interior, casual cotton polo shirts and messy buns seem a little out of place. A more polished uniform or dress code would really help complete the experience. I was also a little confused by the daily specials. I was told there were two specials, a quiche and a soup, but neither appeared to have special pricing or anything particularly different from the regular offerings. I ordered the soup, which had corn and potatoes. It was okay, but I found it rather bland and lacking flavor. It essentially tasted like corn and potatoes without much else to make it memorable. Overall, the atmosphere is definitely the highlight of this restaurant. The decor is gorgeous, the space feels luxurious, and the prices are fair. However, I think the service, staff presentation, and food could use some improvement to truly match the experience the restaurant is trying to create. I'm not sure I would personally return, but I would still recommend giving it a try if you're looking for somewhere different or a pretty place to celebrate a special occasion!
