A little taste of Heaven in the country. The staff couldn't be more friendly. It's a great place to hang out on a lazy weekend and enjoy a bottle of great wine. Also, with Covid restrictions relaxing, Jazz'n the Vines is about to kick back up with live music. A Saturday night experience, you don't want miss.

This is the best winery in Louisiana, hands down. The Southern climate makes it hard for certain grapes to grow so most wineries don't have the kind of top notch selection offered here. Ponchartrain offers wines from their own locally grown fruit, and imports California grapes to make all of the standard favorites. They also host a seasonal concert series with some of the best acts out of New Orleans on their grounds.

Pontchartrain Vineyards is a place with heart. It might not be big and boastful, and most people aren't aware of this little vineyard nestled in the rolling green hills (yes, hills!) of Bush, Louisiana. I've worked with their staff, but I don't think that makes me biased. They're good people and there are no two ways around it. Lincoln runs the show out there, and he does an amazing job creating wines, maintaining the grounds and entertaining guests. Once you make it down their gravel road shadowed by the trees, it opens up onto the vineyard lush with green vines (during growing season) with a backdrop of tall trees. Travel further and you'll happen upon the cozy tasting room and patio with a green space in front where they'll host their Jazz'n The Vines series. Inside the tasting room, Lincoln or the tasting room assistant will greet you with a smile or a glass of wine if you're lucky. If you have the opportunity, learn about the distillery and taste their wines. Ask them about their labels, the history behind each bottle, and you'll find that out in the middle of Bush, Louisiana there is a rich story to be told. I think it's always great to support local as well, so I'd suggest picking up a bottle of the Roux St. Louis or a Zydeco Rosato for your next Christmas party.

This review is for the Jazz N The Vines event. The concert series is held for several dates in the Spring and Fall. Local jazz and blues artists are featured. The event is held on the grounds of the Pontchartrain Vineyards in Bush, LA. The cost is $10 cash a person to enter. You can purchase glasses or bottles of wine with cash or credit card. The event starts at 5pm and ends around 9pm. The event is outdoors and is picnic style. Bring your picnic, chairs, and flashlight.

I've been wanting to visit for years. Its early Fall and nearly the perfect time to do so since I live on the North Shore now. I took my Mom and we had a great time chatting with the mostly young professional crowd that was there. Groups of friends (reminded me of 'Sideways') and a couple on a date. The gal serving our flight was really fun and knowledgeable. Now for the wine... I'm a big fan. The Roux Saint Louis was the fav. I normally don't like ports all that much but this one was soooo good. Looking fwd to bringing all my South Shore friends here. Also note: The vineyard is very simple. Its clear they focus on the grapes not the glamour. Fits well for our neck of the woods.

    Band warming up.

This is a vineyard and winemaker on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. This review is in relation to the "Jazz in the Vines" music series. Food: Wines locally bottled (some of the grapes out-sourced from other places, such as California) are average in cost and quality. Food truck service is available during the concert series. 3 stars Service: There is a wine bar in the souvenir shop on site. Workers will cork the wine you purchase for the evening show. The line can get a little long, but moves relatively quickly. There are people directing traffic for parking in the grass. I enjoyed the live music shows well enough. 3 stars. Facilities: A nice, single building souvenir shop and bar. Quite clean to a fault. Bathrooms are clean, and there are port-o-lets available for overflow. Seating is based on what one brings. 3 stars Bonus: You are welcome to not only bring your own chairs, but tables, snacks, food, and sundry items. Overall: A fine little experience that I will likely go to again. 3 stars

A local gem, don't miss the opportunity to visit during their tastings. This is a fantastic winery right here in Covington, Louisiana! Geaux Pontchartrain Vineyards!

Interesting little winery. We came across it using the Yelp App while looking for someplace to kill time before the Abita Brewery tour. The wines are different and to agree with one of the other reviewers, Napa it ain't. But Louisiana it is! Super friendly and excited about their offerings. The tastings were inexpensive. The wines themselves tended to be a little sweet for my palate but I bought a few to bring back home to Texas and share.

    Really awesome wines

Hands down, this is the easiest review I will ever write. With the venue being fairly new, it's…read moretruly a "hidden gem" on the Northshore. I can picture this venue 5 years from now being booked all weekend, every weekend of the year. Our wedding was on October 15, 2022 and we booked the venue in September of the previous year. We toured 6 different venues across New Orleans and the Northshore for our big day. We fell in love with Milićević Farm & Vineyard Venue for so many reasons I can't even count. Most importantly, not a single thing went "wrong" on our wedding day (like everyone was telling us to prepare for). The owners of the venue and coordinators are all so hands on and detail oriented through the whole process. We could tell they truly did care about making sure our day was perfect! Kim and Ivan have created a beautiful, perfectly thought out, one of a kind venue - I would easily say this is the most beautiful wedding ceremony and venue space in Louisiana! Taylor, the Sales Director, was also one of our Day of Coordinators, has now become a friend though the whole process. She is so thoughtful, kind and really makes sure everything goes to plan! The bustle on my dress came undone a few times during the reception (due to how heavy the satin fabric was on my dress), and Taylor was at my side making sure it stayed secured! Laurie was a huge help and also made sure our day was perfect. The bartenders and other day of staff were great. The venue is spacious, so aesthetically pleasing you hardly need any additional decor, and really has every detail you could possibly want. There are multiple options for your ceremony (both inside and outside). The food was amazing and they hosted a beautiful food tasting event prior to our wedding. What makes them different than the other venues we toured and received quotes from? The hospitality, you're able to rent the bridal and groom suite for the entire day, on site bridal and grooms suite with lunch provided, massive wedding guest bathrooms (no lines), two bar locations (also no lines), ability to set up for the reception/ceremony the day before (if there's no wedding), sparkler exit (most venues don't allow), month of wedding coordinator, plenty of onsite parking, rentals and tons of add-on options... I can go on and on. As far as pricing, you pay for what you get! This is a world class facility with phenomenal service and amenities. It's worth it and we couldn't change anything about our day! We received quotes from 10+ wedding venues in South Louisiana and these prices are fair and competitive with similar venues. Our only concern when planning was the distance of the venue from the Covington Hotels. On the wedding day everything was smooth. We had a hotel block at the Courtyard Marriott in Covington and had a shuttle after the wedding for the bridal party and guests to take back. Highly recommend. Low cost and worth no one having to drive 20 minutes back to Covington post wedding. If you're considering, please go tour! THANK YOU MFV for hosting our perfect day!

I recently joined a large group of colleagues for an end of the year celebration and we talked to the owner ahead of time to setup the event. We put in a request for a specific bar tender to facilitate the event as we have previously had several rude and dissatisfying encounters with a certain bartender who claims to be the bar manager and we wanted to avoid a bad experience. We initially considered going somewhere else to avoid this bartender but ultimately decided to give Sugar field another chance as we have held events here in the past and the owner is usually very accommodating, but that was a mistake. The bar manager worked our event and was extremely rude. She dressed provocatively as she typically does. She even wears open toe sandals and shorts with her butt hanging out. She made several drink wrong and was argumentative when asking her to remake the drinks. She stated, "how can they be wrong if I'm the only one who creates drinks here." She over charged my coworkers, she made ugly faces at us, and had a very unpleasant attitude the entire time. I even heard her tell a customer, "shut the fuck up" unwarranted and unprovoked. This is something I have witnessed during other visits along with bad mouthing other frequent customers and employees including the owners. Sadly, she seems to be there all the time now. The quality of experience has dwindled and is not worth the cost.

Highly recommend.

One of the highlights for me was a modern twist on the classic Sazerac--an elderberry and amaro version that was complex, unique, and unexpected.
