Outstanding brewery! Have been here several times now and always have an excellent time! The new addition across the street is amazing. You are able to order food, there's a huge yard for games, lots of tables and a space in the back that is enclosed. In an unpopular opinion, I am not an IPA fan, but there are so many other beers that are truly outstanding. I am most looking forward to the new test sour beer, margarita. I will be buying a few six packs once that hits the shelves! Definitely check this place out, it is family friendly, group friendly or just by yourself the bartenders are so friendly! Had an outstanding time and always love going back!

This must be one of my favorite breweries visited to day. Ample parking, huge and super cool vibed facilities (bet you never had skateboarding "streamed" in a restroom before!),uber friendly staff, lovely selection of beers. Food options (pub grub) across the street. IPAs are juicy and potent, but boy are they good. Interior looks very skateboard fan oriented. Overall, thumbs up!

Great beer and atmosphere! Dine Gnar across the street has excellent food, too! Always a good selection of new beers to go with their flagship choices.

I've always enjoyed the beer here but finally made it to the tap room and glad I did. Fun environment with TVs, colorful murals, wonderful staff, great looking merch and tastee brews. Was worth the drive from New Orleans.

Was excited to try dine gnar and extremely surprised how horrible the chicken sandwich was...got a side of nachos...straight out of sams uck!

Always the best experience at gnarly barley! Feels like you are amongst old friends, great beer, great atmosphere, and the NICEST STAFF. Food trucks Friday-Sunday, good bands there almost every weekend. Watch their Instagram for new releases!

This was written during the covid-19 pandemic. Longtime gnarly barley beer drinking and first time visitor. Unfortunately all I got to do was do a beer pick up. Online ordering was super easy, and since I was Trekking out to Hammond I decided to buy at least three six packs (while I was there I grabbed ever more beers and a crowler). I made the trip for their s'mores imperial pasty stout So far, I haven't had a bad beer from Gnarly Barley and they are quickly becoming my favorite Louisiana brewery because they haven't disappointed me! For those that do not want to drive immediately back home, there is a picnic area that you can try some of your beers. Just make sure you don't drink and drive!

Great group of people that make make great beer. Always improving as well and that hard in the craft beer world today. Well worth the visit if you are passing rear this area.

I was coming back from a business trip and we decided to stop at Gnarly Barley! I have been wanting to go and was excited to finally get here! Unfortunately I didn't realize that it was closed during the week because of their canning production! Fortunately everyone was gracious for us in to go try some of their craft beers and look at their merchandise. We were also greeted by the owner if we had any questions and thanked us coming to visit! Ryan was very helpful and explained to us about the different flavors of their craft beers and the merchandise. I enjoyed the atmosphere because they were jamming to great music while working! Everyone looked happy having a great time while working! I'm so glad they let us come in while they we're working! They are opened on the weekends and are kid and pet friendly! They're special craft beer weekend releases always run out because they are so popular! Because of their great customer service we left purchasing a few items! Definitely will go back back again because of their great hospitality!

This place was tons of fun! We happened (no coincidence, well maybe some...) to show up for the Porter Rican release. Really I just looked up their hours when I was there and hey they were releasing not one but two beers. Twist my arm, I am there. They had a band, though we only heard a few songs and they were done and a pretty awesome pizza food truck. But the star of the show was really the beers. I didn't get the feeling much happens around Hammond but Gnarly Barley may be changing that. If you dig their beers you will really like what is flowing locally from their taps. I think it was totally worth the 40+ minute drive from NOLA.

Date of tour: December 21, 2024…read more After a wonderful food tour in Prague last year, we wanted to replicate the magic stateside while visiting New Orleans, a city with a rich food history and scene. As requested, I will keep the individual location names secret as to not spoil your potential food tour but also because the stops can change and I don't want to have you disappointed if you don't get the same places on your tour. Ty was a great guide, providing us with local history and culture as we ate our way down Magazine Street. The only complaint I have is that they didn't really interact with us during the food portions, standing or sitting off to the side, or running to the next location to make sure we were all set. To me, the guide should be not only the bridge between the locations and food with us, but also a bridge between the different groups on the tour. Ty told us before the tour started that the other folks joining us were from Michigan, but we found out from them later that they were actually from New York. Had these connections been made earlier, it would have enhanced the tour. On to the food, wonderful that it all was! Please note that I may make some errors in the actual names of the food, while I took pictures, I did not write down the names and there wasn't a post-tour recap to assist me! Stop #1: A local sandwich and a seafood side. Both quite good, especially since I don't like olives! Stop #2: An unusual meat that was shockingly good! Stop #3: Seafood options. I've had a different version of one of these items in Asheville, NC. This wasn't quite as good but still tasty. Stop #4: Southern favorites that were so good! I didn't think I would like these but I did. Stop #5: A peppermint fudge cupcake. Sadly, the weakest stop on the tour. Other that tried the gelato came away disappointed and my cupcake was neither overly fudgey or pepperminty. It looked pretty, though!

There is a fenced pond rehabilitating injured alligators, a pool with baby alligators that they let you hold at the end of the tour, and lots of information about local wildlife. He was great at making sure everyone on the boat could see, as he would rotate the boat in a circle making sure everyone got a "front seat." He brought food out to the feeding sites of raccoons, squirrels, and wild hogs, which brought them all running. We saw an old trappers cabin, an old teepee made of palms, a mass grave, and the grave of the local video priestess that died in 1915. And, of course, the alligators.
