Really good lunch today. Hubby loved the pork chops and I loved the crab cake which comes with a remoulade over mixed greens. Not a huge fan of the dressing on the salad so next time I'll ask for a different one.

Always such a pleasant visit! Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Allie did a great job. Very accessible menu with "something for everyone". Kids, mom and dad and "grands" all find a dish they can enjoy and just the right price-point. Food came out smoking hot which for fresh fish and duck and shrimp is most appreciated. Fish of the day - redfish almondine with lump crabmeat kicker - was amazing! Everyone loved the Alfredo. Duck confit was tender and Dad ate it down to the bone. Lovely wine selection. Music comfortable volume and decor easy on the eyes. Just the right experience for a special occasion or a relaxing night out.

Had the fried crab with roasted veggies and a side salad. Really enjoyed how crisp the outside of the crab was and the dipping sauce that had a slight kick to it. You get an entire loaf of bread (I could not finish even half but it was tempting). Great service from the bar. Quick water refills. I loved that they had the glass bottles of their coke products--they just taste better. Cute spot, reasonable prices, fast service!

Old Fashioned - A glass of Old Fashioned cocktail with ice, cherries, and a garnish, placed on a restaurant table with blurred diners in the background.

Crab claws (not fried) in a herb olive oil juice (use your bread to dip in that juice or eggplant fingers. Entrees - Fish, Ribeye or Soft Shell Crab (the best) That is all!

This was a real treat. I didn't expect this place to be as fancy as it was when I chose it for my lunch break in Mandeville. You wouldn't guess from the exterior so I was a bit surprised when I walked in with jeans and a t-shirt but no one seemed to mind. It had an upper scale vibe but the atmosphere was very laid back and the servers and staff were very nice and accommodating. They sat me at a table by the window and I ordered the Redfish Almondine lunch special and had the Blueberry Cobbler for desert both recommended by the server. Dare I say, this was the best lunch I've had in a while. If you're in the area definitely consider Cafe Lynn. Ended up paying . $26 something which seems about right for the food style, presentation and ambiance - note that I'm not good at judging prices and value but I thought someone would want to know. Also, I got a lot of positive energy from everyone I talked to there. We don't always get that in Baton Rouge which is where I'm from.

We originally had a server who seemed a bit preoccupied with other tables and his regulars, so I asked the amazing MOD (manager on duty from Brazil) if he wouldn't mind pairing us with a more attentive server and WOW!!! Della took over our table and she was literally the best, most attentive and kind server I have ever had! Talk about southern hospitality! She embodies it all! Not only was her service impeccable- the food was amazing!!! Everything we got was so delicious and fresh! It came in a very timely manner and everything couldn't have been more perfect! This was my first full day of my trip in Louisiana and I am so happy we came here because the MOD and Della truly made my first day here memorable! Thank you so much for having us today! I will absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a great view, perfect service and delicious food! I will be back! :)

During the evening, a decorative plate that had been placed unsecured on the wall next to our table was accidentally bumped and broke on the floor. We immediately cleaned it up and notified the staff. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the owner approached our group and began berating us. She mentioned multiple times that the plate cost $450. To further guilt us, she brought up her deceased child in a manner that I found extremely distasteful and reprehensible. Several members of our party offered to replace the item, as well as pay for it, but nothing seemed to satisfy her. We were left so stunned and belittled that we chose to leave the establishment before being served our entrees. My husband paid the full bill, although we never received our food, and provided the waiter with a cash tip. The owners came back out at this point, but offered no apologies, nor did they remove the entrees from our check. However, other patrons approached us afterward to apologize for what we experienced. Accidents happen--but if fragile items are placed unsecured in busy areas, that responsibility should not fall entirely on guests. The way this was handled was unprofessional and unacceptable. I would strongly caution others before dining here.

We have our favorites on both sides of the lake, but I recently read some great reviews somewhere online about Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen with locations in both Mandeville and Covington. After speaking with our friends we decided to dine at the Covington location of Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen. Inside the entrance, the restaurant posts their policy that you will not be seated at a table until all parties have arrived, which is understandable considering the huge amount of business they have. My wife and I arrived before our friends who were running a little late. The Hostess, Jill, asked me how many in our party and I told her four, but the other couple was running late and would be arriving in about 20 minutes. We took a seat in the empty waiting area inside the entrance. The restaurant appeared to have only one or two empty tables available inside when I arrived on a beautiful day. Five to ten minutes later the waiting area was full (approx. ten people). The restaurant was extremely noisy with all their customers enjoying their meals and conversing with friends/family. I noticed that there were approximately ten tables located in front of the restaurant in a beautiful covered patio, so I asked Jill if we could have a table outside once our friends arrived in about five more minutes because one of them was somewhat physically handicapped. There was only one empty table in the patio at the time. Jill explained that since she had a reservation in the patio for a party of eight that would be arriving soon, so she had been holding it for another available outside table to put together to accommodate this party. However, she said she would gladly give us the table. By this time, the waiting room was full of people and overflowing outside the entrance. I had given my seat to a lady and stepped outside to wait for my friends, who I noticed had arrived and parking their car. I told Jill and she seated us at the table in the patio. The four of us ordered different things on the menu, which were fantastic. Although the restaurant was packed, the waitress AND Jill visited our table several times to ensure we were enjoying our meals. Crazy Pig Southern Kitchens' ambiance, service, menu items (along with portion sizes) and prices were absolutely astounding. We were all very impressed and grateful for a beautiful dining experience. Special thanks to Jill who was abundantly pleasant to deal with. Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen certainly placed Jill in the right position.

The bartender greeted us with a friendly smile. We ordered the flatbread app and martini espresso. The flatbread was not an ordinary flatbread dish, like I was expecting. The flavors all magically came together and this dish was really elevated. There was a BBQ sauce that was not your typical BBQ sauce, it was light, had a sweetness to it, and barely a drizzle on the fresh ingredients. The jalapeno lime crema also marinated the flavors of the pork and Tasso together, making each bite so satisfying. Even the bread was not tough or chewy; it had a nice soft texture and perfect way to serve all those ingredients together. This place was one of our favorites for our stay on the Northshore. Everything here as top notch and great!
