First visit to Feliciana was wonderful. Early lunch before it got crowded. Very tasty dishes with that warm French country feeling. Excellent service and well made cocktails.

Easter Sunday at Felicia Anna in downtown Covington this is John Besh's new restaurant. I've never been a fan of John Besch, but I have to admit this place is pretty incredible. You really need to go. It's an entire experience. The service is magnificent. My flounder was absolutely beautifully flaky and incredible. The crab soup was OK. The dessert menu was lackluster and needs to be revised. We did not order from it, but then we went upstairs to paradise overlooking downtown upstairs open air bar and we loved at the chocolate martini was wonderful. My wife's a scallops were very good. The crab soup was not that great and neither was the white asparagus salad so there you go that's a real detailed analysis of the new John Bash restaurant in Covington called Felicia Anna.

Hands down, must visit. Service, 10/10. Chef 10/10. Arguably the best in Covington or even the entire north shore. Worth the visit, and the upstairs bar is equally comfortable.

Dinner was great at Feliciana. We also had the blue crab beignets which were very good. Veal was delicious as well as the white asparagus. We had a great meal at the bar with great bartenders and friendly service.

We discovered this new restaurant while walking in downtown Covington. Our family said it was new and wonderful and hard to get in. The maître d' was able to kindly give us reservations for an early dinner on a Saturday night. We were joined by my husband's two siblings and their spouses. Everyone loved their meals. We shared Blue Crab Beignets and cured bluefin tuna apps. My husband enjoyed his Sautéed Flounder. I had their Babette Bistrot Steak. Others had Oysters, Cotelette de Veau Panee, Roasted Red Royal Shrimp and a pasta dish. Decaf Irish for us two completed our meal. The bar is really nice. The restaurant is very attractive. We didn't make it up to the rooftop bar, but it's been raved about. We will be back for another great meal and to visit that upstairs bar. My brother who lives in Ohio wished he was here to try the Rabbit dish. Reservations are a must and should be booked In advance of any special desired date.

The establishment itself is located in a cozy little spot in downtown Covington. Tastefully decorated and full of natural light, The Gloriette is a charming, upscale little spot that boasts "a taste of European tradition, a touch of Louisiana soul." And they're not wrong. Our reservations were for 7pm and we were promptly seated upon arrival. Our drink and appetizer orders were taken by our server shortly after arriving. To start, the four of us decided to share the honey goat cheese spread and confit pork belly (of which, I somehow neglected to take pictures for some reason...). Both were spectacular. My Sazerac was perfectly made, and my wife really enjoyed her watermelon sugar cocktail, which she specifically noted as not being too sweet. I'm not big on presentation because I'm a pretty simple guy. But when our entrees arrived I couldn't wait to dig in. Everything looked absolutely delicious. My wife chose the braised beef short ribs, our friends chose the filet mignon and the blackened gulf fish, and I opted for the grilled red fish. I only had a small bite of my wife's short ribs but it melted in my mouth. And my grilled red fish paired with the basil pesto pearl pasta was phenomenal. The North Shore is loaded with great restaurants and The Gloriette falls right in line with the rest of them. Truly a great experience from beginning to end.

Located in a beautifully repurposed home in downtown Covington, this charming spot exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly shown to our table in one of the restaurant's small but thoughtfully decorated dining rooms. We started with the house-made whipped ricotta at our server's suggestion. Lightly topped with rosemary honey and served with grilled ciabatta, it was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Chicken Molli while I chose the Pork Cheek Marsala. Both dishes were phenomenal. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, so I guess we'll just have to return, which I'm sure won't disappoint my wife in the slightest. When we received the bill we were both surprised because we had expected it to be significantly higher than it was based on the service and quality of the food. The attentive staff, inviting atmosphere, and excellent food all help make this place stand out. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Marcello's has an upscale, yet very comfortable, persona and excellent service that combined for an elegant dining experience. Before dinner cocktails were refreshing and we then enjoyed Caesar salad and tomato basil soup before our main courses of chicken parmigiana and chicken molli, both of which were tasty in a traditional way. A tasty cannoli followed up. My wife enjoyed a Pinot Grigio with dinner, and I a very full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which was the chef's evening's special recommendation. Marcello's has our recommendation for a special night out.
