Agnolotti - wild mushroom & mascarpone filling, brown butter, marsala, walnuts, gorgonzola, herbs
Katie A.

Changing my review because they took all of my favorites off the menu. The Brussel sprout and Rocket pizzas were my go to's for year. Also loved the Agnolotti for when I wasn't in a pizza mood. I haven't been able to find anything that I love on the new menu. Still holding out hope, but we don't go too often anymore.

Meribo in Covington

My wife and I dropped by Meribo in downtown Covington for Sunday brunch and were quite pleased with our experience. The restaurant is well appointed with a contemporary, stylish persona and the dining area adjoining the full bar and kitchen is spacious and comfortable. Service is friendly and efficient. The brunch menu is focused, but offers a variety of wood fired artisanal pizzas in the Neapolitan style, as well as Interesting appetizers and specialty dishes. We had a whipped ricotta appetizer served with a flatbread fashioned from their homemade pizza crust, then shared their signature muffuletta pizza. Both were excellent. Prices were extremely competitive and quality was high. I'm told their broiled Brussels sprouts specialty dish is excellent, so we will try it on our next visit. We highly recommend Meribo!

Wanted to select a fun brunch spot to celebrate a birthday. The menu online caught our attention and we've always enjoyed the vibe at Meribo, so we decided to give it a try! It did not disappoint! Every dish we ordered was delicious and had a "plus" factor which is why we really enjoy Meribo. Lots of sweet or savory options, plus their pizza oven is open for brunch too. LOVED the burger and the breakfast selections were all original and flavorful. Will definitely be back.

Mediocre pizza, unfriendly waitstaff, canned soft drinks, plastic water bottles. Enough said.. Hostess sat us, practically sprinted to the table, dropped off the menus and disappeared before we even got to our table. Waiter had zero personality. He wasn't unfriendly per se but it was kind of like interacting with an inanimate object. It's like the lights were on but no one was home, ya know? The pizza wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. The ambiance is weird. It's like they can't figure out what they want to be. Kind of an open concept but not? Some random art on the wall. They hand you canned soda like you're at a concession stand but then charge $17 for a cocktail and put it in a fancy martini glass. Did i mention it felt like Antarctica inside? It's 43 degrees out.. would a little heat kill them? Waiter dropped off our check and walked away.. no friendly send off for us i guess. The best part of the experience was the milk and cookies and seeing a toddler with a bad 90's haircut.

Hot tots

One of our favorite places to eat on the Northshore. Food is fantastic. Drinks are good. Cool atmosphere. Happy hour deals are great!

Crab and Brie Toast

Never disappoints! The food has been delicious every time. Service is always great! Ambiance strikes a balance between casual and upscale.

Margherita Pizza - delicious, and fantastic crust!

I had my daughter's 16th birthday party on the patio in April. I would definitely recommend Meribo. The family style pricing was very fair and reasonable (we ordered salad, 2 sides, and 2 types of pizzas, and had 16 guests). The server was very friendly and attentive! She was great with bringing drinks, checking in with guests, making us feel welcome, and boxing the leftovers. The only reason I'd give 4 stars is because we were not advised prior that we would be charged a service fee for using a credit card to pay for the party... had I known prior, I would've brought cash to save the $60 in "service fees."

Service- AWFUL- rude server, stink badly of smoke, seemed bothered to be serving us. Also, they're severely understaffed. Slow on both food and drinks. Had to ask for water. Food- excellent pizza. Atmosphere- nice, but loud.

Used to really enjoy this place but long waits, rude staff, irregular hours, closing early, and arriving to be told at 2pm they wouldn't seat 2 people because of an event "later" in the evening is pretty disappointing.

Soppressata
Stephanie W.

Started off with a dirty martini. The pour was small for the price but very good. The men enjoyed their beers. Had the brussel sprouts which were amazing, pork meatballs and Caesar salads which were also good. We had the Soppressata pizza which was ok. It tasted like blueberries and the Sausage & Peppers which was a little better. The vibes, drinks, and appetizers were the best part. Pizza was ok. The service was pretty good as well. Young servers work here.

This place is lovely. Brunch is the best! I've been back several times already! The cocktails are really nice. I loved the expresso martini. The brunch carafe of mimosas was a hit too!

I ordered the short ribs and felt it was tender... but dried out. So I hadn't gone back. Well I met friends for a "supper club" we created and my opinion was completely changed. I would give them 5/5 stars now. The best part of the night was great service lead by Ms. Sydney. She understood the menu, gave recommendations and clear explanations of how items were prepared, and was quick with a joke! I literally almost spit my water out laughing at one point!!! The wine selection was amazing and paired well with the entrees ordered. I have to give a disclaimer that, at our table was the person that distributed the liquor.... So he knew what bottles were the ones we had to have with our meals. The mixed drinks were great too. I had an espresso martini, but also tasted my friends's sazeracs and old fashions. All were great! I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came as we ordered several appetizers, drinks, bottles of wine, and dessert! My bill was way less than I anticipated given the amount that we ordered! I'd def come back and I'd probably request being put In Sydney's section!

My personal favorite is the lasagna and the beef short rib, both one of the best I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. The lasagna is simply incredible and I'm fairly picky about how I like it. It's a perfect balance of fresh pasta, red sauce, meat and cheese, then perfectly baked. The food is a perfect balance between elegant and well presented but not overly pretentious, genuinely well done Italian food . Generally how I feel about the place overall, you don't have to get overly dressed up as cocktail attire or similar is the norm. Reservations at least a week out or more are advised as they usually don't have many options last minute or if you walk in.

The meal started off in a great note with our server Sean. Not only was he knowledgeable about the menu, but funny and truly enthusiastic about his job. For the holiday, the chef provided guests with a complimentary amuse bouche of beet-feta salad. Even in ten complimentary sample, Sean went back to the kitchen to grab my husband a plate that did not have bacon, as he does not eat pork. He also ensured to point out pork in all things we ordered and placing it on the side of dishes to ensure we could share the meal. We ordered the short ribs and half portions of the pumpkin carbonara and house made cavatelliEverything was excellent and even tastes great as leftovers the next day. Portions were incredibly generous! I still think the star of the show was our white bean artichoke dip. Garlicky, briney and smooth. We sopped it up with the tasty toast points and took some home for toast the next day. The apple crostini with vanilla ice cream finished off our meal on a sweet note. The natural flavors of this he fruit and real vanilla really came through. As a seasonal flavor, we are looking forward to coming back when the restaurant offers another seasonal selection. We had the apple cider mojito and boulevardier as our cocktails. Truly excellent meal, service and setting.
