Another place that started strong yet has dropped the ball. Pizza is ok better pizza elsewhere size doesn't matter if it tastes like tomato brushed cardboard. You had a froze' daiquiris following yet haven't seen it in years. The chicken and burger sliders are a great addition though and taste great. Brought baseball team for championship pizza order a second pizza kids were leaving and did bring the second pizza went check they burned it and I said well I don't need it now can I just get a refund they said no! I was ok I divided it up and gave to remaining kids to take home but they did not even let me know it was delayed because it was burnt and had to be remade just pushed our food back an hour with no choice of refund. Manager awful customer service that day. It's chaotic atmosphere lazy servers no communication and always have to go to counter to grab attention for details on food. Bro no wonder why the Mandeville location tanked! read more

I like the interior. The ambience kind of reminds me of Pizza Hut back in the day when it was a sit-down restaurant. Everyone was really nice and the place was clean. I ordered a slice of supreme-style pizza and it was floppy. I was wondering if they used a microwave to heat it. It was still good but I had just had a slice of pizza in the French Quarter the day before and they heated it to perfection so I was looking for a crisp crust on this slice. read more

Fat Boy's Pizza - Combo slice - Italian Near Me - Covington, Louisiana

Literally, just got home from Fat Boy's Pizza. I decided go there for lunch as haven't been there in a while. I was expecting a vibrant atmosphere, what I was greeted with however was a man manager that did not seem to want to be there at all. I sat at the bar, if you could call it that. If you do not have beer on tap, do not call it a bar. There was no bartender, I would have at least expected a bartender during what I thought would be a lunch rush. The metal chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The manager greeted me seemed nice, but completely dead eyed. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni, tasted good but pricey. I noticed that they are now 2 different places. Fat Boy's and a Savvy slider. In my opinion sliders are a fad and not worth ruining a fine restaurant that was already established. The atmosphere is no longer fun, just seems dead and unwelcoming. The place was packed a year ago. What happened? read more

Walked by on way back to the hotel after a night drinking on bourbon street. The menu price for one slice of pizza was way overpriced. The pizza was not my favorite, but was definitely needed. The slice is large but I would compare it to about the same size as a Costco or Sam's pizza slice, just a tad longer. Love the decor and theme of the pizza place! Ordered to go and I was given a number that was called out when my slice was ready. read more

I predict this place won't be open in six months. The pizza itself tasted OK but the service and the people that work there could care less about their customers and taking care of them. We got a pizza delivered with no napkins no plates no utensils no, nothing had to go get it ourselves. You can't even order a beer where you order the pizza you have to go to a separate bar to order there and then two people said they'd help me and left without helping me. We were the only couple that was disappointed in the service therefore, I'd standby my prediction. read more

Crazy big pizza slices and when it's late and you're hungry it very similar to pizza joint in NYC. Crazy atmosphere because it's in the French Quarter so super busy. The slice I had was a great piece of pizza pie. read more

We use to LOVE fat boys! When Covington location opened we were very frequent customers. But tonight it was our last time. The last few times the food is dry, lukewarm warm, and seems like leftovers. This is my last "we'll give them one more try". It's always empty when I pass, they will run themselves out of business. Overall, use to be good, but not anymore. read more

If your brain is splashing SLICE across your forehead, look no further than here. My first slice was from their truck in the parking lot before the restaurant actually opened. Longer than my arm, blistering hot, and all of the greasy glory of a primo slice at a helluva great price. Not heavy on toppings, but a great ratio......and cheese, sauce, and crust - toothy, savory, and on point! TC read more

I was so impressed with a Fat Boy's Pizza in Covington that I am making my very first Yelp review. I placed a custom order solely out of convenience recently while I was recovering from surgery and was very pleasantly surprised that this was more like a bistro style pizza than a greasy pie. The crust was just delicious and light with just the right amount of olive oil. All the ratio's were just right and the cheese even reheated beautifully. My belly even felt good after eating 2 slices for dinner and then two more for lunch the following day. I am kind of a health nut and pizza is usually a splurge for me, but I am now looking forward to my next order! Adding basil next time. :) read more

Fat Boy's Pizza - The Skinny Boy - shrimp, artichoke, spinach. Bland and flavorless. Doesn't taste like anything. - Italian Near Me - Covington, Louisiana

Was very skeptical about this place at first. I was tired of Domino's and Pizza Hut. Wanted something different. Theo's was over hyped for a small, tasteless pizza. I wanted something more. Something big. Something with a little more punch. Fat boy called my name. Ordered a regular pepperoni, just to be safe before I adventure out with bizarre flavor added on. Then got loaded waffle fries. Let me tell you. Them fries. Lord have Mercy on me. Either they were that good, all the time. Or I just got lucky and got a good batch. I couldn't stop eating them to save my life. At the end of the night, I would've literally been the name of their company. I was thinking nasty, super nasty, like... it's better than Chick-fil-A waffle fries nasty. That damn good! read more

My husband & I love Fat Boys Pizza and Wings!!! Great service and our food is always hot & fresh!

I used to come to Fat Boys a lot (Metairie Rd) on lunch breaks or whenever I was in the mood for a slice. With Savvy Sliders opening up in partnership with them, I was anticipating the reopening. I've been there twice since the relaunch, once to try the burgers which was overwhelming to say the least and I came today to get a ceased salad, add shrimp.. The salad came premade in a plastic bowl, no real silverware, the shrimp were undercooked and super salty and the service took forever. I will not be coming back here again. read more

We went here after church one day. wasn't crowded at all. we ordered mozzarella logs and they were great, the best mozzarella stick I have ever had. We also ordered a pizza. This is my second time trying Fat Boy's pizza. My first time was in Baton Rouge. It's definitely yummy. I don't believe it's possible to have bad pizza. I guess it's just not my type. The size is fascinating. There wasn't a lot of sauce, cheese, or toppings which is usually what I look for. So there's nothing truly extraordinary about this pizza besides the size. Maybe it's your type of pizza. It reminds me of the typical New York style pizza. One slice of meat pizza will run you about $9 which is kinda pricey to me since it's not full of meat or cheese which is the pricey stuff. I think it's cool they have a good truck and the atmosphere is cool. read more

So far this place hasn't opened a dine in location, there is only a walk up food truck, but as they've put up a sign on the building, I'm sure the dine in one is imminent. I haven't been able to discern if there are set days when they show up, but I live right next to it so we can easily see when they are there. My family has rapidly become addicted to this pizza lol. We basically get it every time the food truck is open now. I feel like it's a very different type of pizza that isn't really offered in this area. First of all, the sizes are absolutely massive. But, it's also extremely thin, so you're not contending with a large amount of pizza dough. My personal favorites are the cheese and the triple cheese varieties. But every other kind has been great as well. A little goes a long way with this one, so if the price for a slice seems off putting its because one slice can go so far. read more

Great experience on their first night open. The staff in young high school kids that are very attentive and hard working. The restaurant itself has a very nice covered outside area and the inside is big enough to stay distanced. The pizza is very good as well as the mozzarella cheese sticks and the meatball app. The margaritas were surprisingly very good as well. Great job to management as well for checking on all of the tables. We will be back! read more

Right now they are working from a food truck - a red one and it is like a magnet for my car!! They are in the parking of of the restaurant they are remodeling to occupy! Great pizza but I think $9 for a slice is a bit pricey. Other places I have gone would charge $5-$6 for a comparable slice.

I tried this place four times before writing this review, and it was consistent throughout. Here's the bottom line -- the facility/atmosphere is great with ample outdoor seating, really nice umbrellas, a bar, and TV's. I so wanted to love this place, and if I had loved it I'd be there every week. But... the pizza is lacking in quality, is undercooked, and takes too long to come out. To be more specific, the pizza sauce is fairly tasteless. On all four occasions, the toppings (artichokes, black olives, onions, bell peppers) were so sparse that I just as well have ordered a cheese pizza. This pizza is fairly expensive, so there is no excuse for the small topping portions. At the VERY LEAST, they need to double the amount they're currently using. Plus, a soft drink is $3 (fairly shameful way to pad the bill). To my disappointment, the guy who was taking the orders was alternating between operating the register and putting toppings on pizza slices with his bare hands. NO!! He also was not wearing a mask, although touching cash registers/money/food is far worse. Given the really nice facility, this company could be a real winner with just a few changes -- CHANGE THE SAUCE, double the amount of toppings (to bring it up to average standards), cook the pizzas longer, and lower the price of a fountain drink to $2.25. You'll probably triple your business volume. The 30" pizza is somewhat of a novelty, but once you realize that you're never going to get enough toppings on it, you'll realize that size really doesn't matter. read more

Good ,huge slice pizza .. Good atmosphere, one large will feed plenty . Service was quick A +

Awesome pizza! Got the 16 inch pepperoni pizza and the crust was just right. Good portions of cheese, sauce made the flavor just right!

I went fat Boyz Pizza for the first time on Sunday and ordered a Pepperoni and Italian Sausage pizza. It was very good. It was a 16 inch pizza, their smallest. I wish they had a 12 inch pie as we are only two and 16 is too much for us. read more
