This was my SO's favorite pizza place growing up, so while we were in the area we stopped for some pizza. He insisted we start with the buffalo chicken breadsticks. Those were actually my favorite dish. The chicken is crispy and the dipping sauce is delicious. It is different kinda Pizza joint. The curst is kind of thick kind of thin but awesome. You get pick your marinara sauce, go with the combo. Delicious. As always the food is great. Unfortunately the service is horrible. I eat out quite a bit and have zero tolerance for BD Service I spoke to the manager, and he says they actually do training for their waiters and waitresses What I explained to him that he needs to explain to his waitresses that when the Customer walks into his restaurant, his waitresses automatically work for the customer the waitress only represents the restaurant, but they are actually on the customers payroll. Well, now I've been back a couple times and I've had it delivered and I have to say my waitress last night seemed not very knowledgeable. (we thought we go back and sit one more time.) Last night dinner was just bad. The sauce on the pasta was so sweet. I swear to God it tasted like somebody just dumped sugar on top of my plate. The medallions were great. The chicken was OK but the sauce I don't know if I'll ever eat that again. The other thing the waitress told me that she knows that her sweet tea is not good so when I ordered sweet tea and received it and it wasn't sweet tea and her only remedy was to offer me a different drink. Needless to say I was a little disappointed, all night was OK but dinner was let's just say not so much. This place is so disappointing on service to say the least. Took over 45min to just get a beer from the Bar. Finally got my wings and discovered they have been done 20min ago. I'll start by saying the place once made my favorite pizza in the world. I've gotten pizza here since I was a child and it's always been amazing. However, the place sold out to new owners. the interior of the place which at one point felt classy for a downtown pizza joint, now feels overly cluttered. Its difficult to walk around and everything feels like a tight space. Ive gotten the pizza twice since it reopened and I'm pretty sure that it was just Dominoes level pizza. Whoever use to make the pizza here needs to be hired back at a premium. The rest of the food was never that great, but this place always had great pizza. Now it doesn't. Sad day. Yum. This place is great. I HIGHLY recommend the buffalo chicken breadsticks. They are amazing if you like buffalo chicken. They could definitely be a meal. The pizza is also great. We had the meat pizza, which was very good, and the voodoo, which was even better! The voodoo with the sweet sauce is really good. The mixture of the spicy jalapeños and the sweet sauce makes it. Where to begin.... We placed a carry out order tonight and our total was 104$+ We ordered 2 appetizers and they were perfect. We also ordered 4 pizzas. 2 small specialty pizzas, 1 medium pepperoni, and one large specialty pizza with extra cheese and jalapeños. All of our pizzas dough was completely raw. Not mushy. Raw. As in you could pull the dough and wrap it around your finger raw. I've been eating Tommy's pizza for basically my entire life and I've never had an issue, but tonight was different. I live about 30 minutes from the location and when I called to let them know that 4 out of 6 items were raw the manager said she wanted to tell the owner and the owner wanted me to bring the pizzas back to get a refund, but that I would have to bring them back to the location and show him the pizzas. Again, I live 30 minutes away. I told them I could send them photos and did not want them remade but a refund. The manager stated they use biscuit dough and that is why they are not cooked all the way (?) They called me while I was writing this, and said they wanted to "respect the credit" meaning that they just wanted to offer me a credit for the exact pizzas in the future. Again, I offered to provide photos of the items, she said it wasn't needed, then stated I now have a store credit for 4 pizzas. I don't want pizzas that are going to be raw. You can keep your store credit. If I'm going to spend $100+ on pizza, I'll just go to Commodores. read more

If you're ever in Hammond then Tommy's is a must but be prepared to wait! That was the worst part about the restaurant, the long wait for food! We went on a weekday and it wasn't very crowded but took a while. The Mexican Pizza was sooo good! The fresh veggies on top and thin crunchy pizza, this is a must! The Artichoke Pesto Pizza was okay, nothing to write home about! But the Buffalo Breadsticks should be on your table. The Buffalo ranch was the perfect dipping sauce with fried chicken and lots of cheese. On a recent trip home to Louisiana, my mom and I went shopping at the Hammond Dirt Cheap. Of course, we were hungry after all of our deal hunting. My mom remembered visiting Tommy's a while back and suggested we go there. I'm glad we did! As a heads up, masks are required when not seated. I am a culinary creature of habit, so my mom and I immediately found the the Luna Rosa (or all meats) specialty pizza. We ordered a medium and between the two of us, there were still leftovers for work the next day. Overall, the pizza was pretty good. No one meat seemed to dominate my flavor palette, nor was the pizza too greasy. And the cheese was perfectly melted. My reason for giving 4/5 stars was the sweet sauce. I'm not going to lie, I am not a fan. I don't get it. When I think pizza, I think savory, meaty flavors, not sweet. The only sweet I want with a pizza is a sweet tea. If any pizza is should be sweet, I would think it would be dessert pizza. The plethora of savory meats on the Luna Rosa were not enough to balance out the sweetness for me, so I left slightly disappointed because I did not get the full (savory) pizza experience I was anticipating. Try it and see for yourself, but if I visit again, I will advocate for non-sweet sauce. Other important information. Parallel parking is available all along Thomas St, so be sure to have your best parallel park-er behind the wheel. Restrooms are quite small and not gender neutral. Also depending on where you sit, there is the one step leading up to the seating on the right that is easy to miss, so watch your step! read more
