Was thick but smaller in diameter than I'm used to, especially for the price. The olive mix added the expected salty/tangy flavor, but the rest was a bit blander than I was expecting. Anthony's Italian Deli and Monjuni's both make a bigger, more flavorful version of this sandwich. The best part of the meal was the cannoli. DELICIOUS! Service was prompt and attentive without being too familiar and overly friendly. Ambiance was about what I expected from a small neighborhood establishment; kind of reminded me of an Italian "Cheers".

Not a top 5 bread however, may have been the best part of the meal. Side Caesar - The dressing tasted as if it were out of a bottle and not made in house. It very well could have been however, didn't appear to be. The Parmesan wasn't great quality and also appeared to be out of a bottle or bag. Spaghetti alla Carbonara - Was pretty good. Definitely worth ordering however, not great or anything memorable. Pork Chop - It was accompanied by a sauce and roasted potatoes. The potatoes were average, nothing set them apart from regular roasted potatoes. The sauce was pretty tasty and provided something unique. The pork chop wasn't bad however, not a top 5 or even maybe top 8 pork chop I have ever. Pork Chops are something I order regularly and love to try. Is this place worth trying at least once? Maybe. Would I place it in the top 8 of Italian restaurants in the Baton Rouge/Denham Springs area? No.

I'd read good reviews but was somewhat apprehensive just because it wasn't crowed on a Friday night. That was okay. The salsa was tasty, somewhat spicy, but not overly so. And the Birria Fries...BURSTING with flavor. They were fantastic. I'm reminiscing as I write this and I'm so sad I don't have any. Perfect amount of cheese, birria was tender and FULL of flavor, served over deliciously seasoned fries and garnished with red onions. 10/10 My chile relleno was perfection. My friend ordered a chimichanga, if you're a meat lover, this is for you. She complained there was too much meat. My husband got the happy plate. His order was messed up and they replaced it very fast with many apologies. It was lacking some flavor but I chalk it up to the rush to fix his order. Overall the service was 10/10. The parking lot has adequate spaces. The restaurant looks like it has enough seating for a good bit of customers. We had a party of approximately 15. We ordered several appetizers and entrees. I would've gotten them as a meal with a salad had I known! So good! I was intrigued by the muffuletta pizza so I ordered it on the cauliflower crust. Pretty good! Several people ordered the ribeye and said it was good. Nice size and it comes with a salad and another side. That is still a good deal in my opinion! Our server was really attentive. Sometimes when a restaurant is busy and the server has to wait other tables the people in the private rooms get forgotten. Not this time! They were great! We will go back if we are back in the area! In my opinion Domino's Pizza have the best pizzas and side items of all the big 4 pizza chains…read more(Domino's Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Little Ceasars) when they properly prepared and baked according to procedures. Tonight, I was looking forward to eating a good hot and delicious stuffed crust pizza, but Domino's did NOT deliver by serving an undercooked and inedible pizza. I ordered the "Best Deal Ever: Any Pizza, Any Toppings" for $9.99 and chose Parmesan Stuffed Crust with barbecue sauce instead of pizza sauce, plus pepperoni, beef, Italian sausage, grilled chicken, onions, and mushrooms. Surprisingly, the pizza was well made, with the correct amounts of evenly distributed toppings, and the crust was finished with flavorful buttery garlic oil and parmesan seasoning. However, the pizza was not properly baked and served undercooked, likely because it was pulled from the oven before it finished baking. The dough was raw, dense, chewy, and gummy, with little to no browning, and the toppings were also slightly under cooked, making the pizza inedible. I worked for Domino's for more than 20 years and I know when a pizza is pulled from the oven, before the baking process is complete. I called the store and spoke with a female employee who apologized and offered to remake the pizza, but I was not willing to drive back to the store due to it was raining. I did offer to bring the entire uneaten pizza back to the store next day, but she stated they did not want the pizza back. She immediately refunded the full amount of the order back to my credit card. She did a good job utilizing her customer service skills and empowerment training to resolve the issue in a satisfactory manner. In an attempt to salvage dinner, I tried putting the pizza in the oven to complete the baking process, but the results were not good and still could NOT enjoy the pizza. Due to a decision made by a team member to take a short cut in the baking process, my wife and I were left without dinner tonight. But I was pleased with the way the situation was handled.
