A huge pizza! We placed a pick order on Thursday, and we asked what the best sellers were. The person on the phone told us a 20" pizza (I think?), wings and fries, so we got all of that! We also wanted a calzone, but for some reason they wouldn't allow us to order one because they were busy...but when we picked up no one was in the restaurant. The pepperoni pizza was literally the biggest pizza I've ever seen. It was delicious. The wings were a decent size too and were very tasty. They came in a 12 piece and we got garlic parm and medium for the two types of sauces. The crinkle cut fries were just ok. A tad soggy on those. We always get the personal pizza because nobody wants to share in my house! The carnivore is my husband and son's go to. My daughter gets cheese and I like pepperoni. It's my favorite pizza in the area. The crust is perfectly crisp. I've also had the Stromboli and it was great as well. The only thing I've not been a fan of is the disco tots. Came here last week and had "a slice" of pizza. Let me tell to you guys, that sliced opened my eyes and had me realize there is a great pizza place in Ascension Parish. I've never been to New York and had an original NY style pizza but my dad who lived there for a couple of years said it would go toe to toe. Tonight my wife wanted pizza so I wanted to bring her here. We had an original 16" pizza and boy was it good! One of my favorite things about the pizza itself is the crust. It has a little crunch but not doughy and doesn't shatter. The sauce is phenomenal....it's a little sweet and I enjoy just tasting it. Love the atmosphere and the interior decor is great. This reminded me of NY Pizza! The Ambience is eclectic and fun, although they have only been open 2 days I think they will be very successful! The menu is very small which is great, with the main star being Pizza. I am a Supreme girl all the way for conventional Pies but when were talking slices Pep and Cheese Pleaze!!!!!!!!! Each slice is about $5 bucks with tax and packed up if you chose to go in a cool box that you have to rip open so it ensures that your slice stays hot till ready to eat. Let's start with the important part, I'm from Chicago. If anybody knows Pizza it is us. This is one of the most wood legit pizzas I have had outside of Chicago, ever. Let me walk you through a little bit more. First off it's not New York, if you go in expecting that bc of the other reviews here, you're going to be screwed up in your expectations. It's also not of Chicago Pizza. I think the closest style that I could describe it as is what we would call a Tavern Pizza. The sauce to toppings to cheese ratio was flawless (don't change a thing). The crust is fascinatingly interesting because it is this airy chewy crispy crust that has a crisp bottom but then a soft layer without being chewy and then you get into the the toppings. Amazingly enjoyable it's what kept me going back slice after slice. The edges of the pizza were chared to the exact right level of doneness. In fact when I came in a little bit early they were very specific about not letting the pizza come out early. And I understand why now. Two guys running it were friendly and approachable and obviously cared for their craft and when I called them later to express my admiration they were genuinely touched. I would love to see it with a Wisconsin mozzarella because I think that would bring the total package home but if you don't like this pizza something is wrong with you. read more

They have my favorite pizza! I have never ordered anything that my family doesn't enjoy! Besides the pizza being great, it's the staff for me! They truly are the most friendly people. Two words, DISCO TOTS! I'm not even 100% sure what these are made with, but they are delish! It tastes like maybe a sweet-chili sauce with cheese combined. Sounds crazy, but so worth trying! The pizza is consistently good, I wish the bread knots came out a little before the pizza because they came out a little after. My friends and I were just remarking the other day that the Baton Rouge area is lacking a restaurant that truly understands New York style pizza. I have found a solution to that problem. Saturday night is pizza and wing night for my family. We were in the Gonzales area and we're heading home but wanted to find someplace new to get pizza and I found Big Slice here on Yelp. Tonight my family and I decided to try Big Slice for the first time , customer service was HORRIBLE . Food was GREAT! Here's how my experience went, i called to placed pepperoni pizza order then decided we wanted to add bacon on the pizza wings to our order . The young lady who answered told me that's impossible to do and it's too late to add anything to my pizza . Ok understandable but she then told me I also cannot add wings to my order .. So i told her well we'd like wings so can she put in a order and I'll just pick them up together when it's ready . I get there & on the window it says 20" pizza and wings $32.99 my total was $39 so i was a bit confused and asked how much i didn't receive the price on the window and she said it's because it won't let her combine the order on the computer . I then asked to speak to the manager , she then calls the guy from the back who's making the pizzas and he hands her his phone and she calls (or pretends) to call someone and act like she's adjusting my total but when i looked at the screen it was the same total so i asked her about it . She then told me i was charged extra because i got a flavor on my wings.... Mind you, on the website flavored wings are THE ONLY OPTION .. I then said it's funny that she had all these made up rules , she then walks to the back of the building I'm assuming she was upset because i caught her in so many lies and asked the pizza guy to finish checking me out . I then asked the pizza guy her name so i could call the owner to report her and he told me her name was " sweet pea" .. i asked what's her "REAL" name .. he look at the ceiling and said Jayla. I'm not sure if they realize it or not that i was gonna get her REAL name from the receipt at the top where it says " server : Jennifer K" I wanted to love this place so bad , but I'm not sure i can give them my business again with a worker with such bad attitude , ghettoness, unprofessionalism & lies. As a native New Yorker who's lived in LA for 5 years this is the best pizza I've had down here and it actually reminds me a lot of New York pizza. Ever since Lit Pizza opened and Big Slice opened, the Gonzalez area has been the home of some of the best pizza in the south. The pizza here is amazing, the pepperoni are wonderful, the cheese absolutely tantalizing. I can't describe how good it is! And the name Big Slice really does fit, we ordered 2 pizzas for dinner, "how big can it be, right?" Is what we said. We had enough Pizza to eat for almost an entire 5 days!
