    Pesto Pollo cauliflower pizza
    Bryan T.

In BTR and looking to eat early I stopped in an got Lit , pizza for dinner Prior to my visit I had checked with a local yelp friend for pizza recs and she was kind enuff to provide several including Lit I took my pizza to go but if you chose to dine in the eating area is well lit and provides plenty of seating When possible I try to order cauliflower pizza crust as I find it a nice change and makes me feel slighlty less guilty when I eat the FULL PORTION. That said I ordered the pesto Pollo cauliflower pie. On first review it looked slightly burnt but actually was perfect, so perfect I wish I ordered two Lit pizza offers a fast yet customizable option to getting your pizza crave satisfied

Pizza is one of my favorite foods and I decided to try Lit out for the first time this week. I love places where you can customize personal pizzas. I decided to try the Buffalo chicken pizza but I don't like blue cheese so I didn't get that on it, but I added purple onions. There wasn't a long line for lunch, but it took about 10-15 minutes after ordering the pizza to get it (since there were a few people who ordered before me) which was fine. Once the pizza came out of the oven they bring it over to the finishing/drizzle station where you can add freshly shaved Parmesan cheese, ranch, and a whole lot of other items. All of the workers who I encountered were nice and if I had time I would've dined in as it had a good bit of seating. I enjoyed my Buffalo chicken pizza more than I thought I would! Only complaints is that I think it could've been cooked a little longer. I like pizza with crispy edges and felt the middle also could've been cooked a little more. The dough closer to the middle was a little soggy, but the flavor was there! Also I think the online ordering could be a little better. While there are some edits you can make there isn't a comment section or a place where you can decide if you only want a topping on a certain side of the pizza. Overall, I'd go again.

    Easy Caprese

I have had Lit a few times, and my experiences have been mixed, but consistently, I just don't think the pizzas get cooked long enough. I came in on a Saturday night, and there were about 5 people in front of me, so I had a little time to choose what I wanted. I went back and forth between building my own and doing one of their signatures, so I chose theirs, and I ordered the Easy Caprese. Service was 4/5, although it was very difficult to hear them in there. The poor employee had to repeat himself a few times, but the noise bounces around and it's just difficult. It was great to see him patiently training someone who seemed to be a little newer. The value was great - under $10 for a craft pizza. It only took about 10 minutes and I was out the door. I got home, and, as with just about any Lit pizza, the crust didn't seem to be cooked all the way through and the cheese didn't really even melt. Each slice was fairly cold and the crust just flopped over. The toppings don't stay on the pizza, so it's a real mess. They over did the minced garlic on this one, and there were nearly clove sized chunks throughout. The crust also tasted doughy. I know the pizzas are really just flash cooked, so I guess this is what they're going for. I'd probably rate the pizza right about a 2/5. This isn't the first time this has happened - my friends ordered a couple for movie night and it was the same issue with the super thin dough. I guess with fast food pizza, this is the experience to expect, but I'm not sure Lit will be in my rotation anymore.

Built my own pizza. So good.

Wow. I ordered pizza and a salad through Uber Eats. Unbelievably good pizza. Generous toppings and cooked to perfection. Great flavor throughout. The salad was great. Delivery was on time and the driver was courteous. Will definitely eat here again next time I am in town.

    My "build your own" pizza

This was my first visit here but it won't be my last. The pizza was very good. I ordered a "build your own" which I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the pizza was ready pretty quickly. This is a "fast fired" thin crust pizza, which comes out crispy and delicious. They also offer pre-made salads. I wanted to try the caprese salad, but they were out, so I tried the caesar, which left a lot to be desired. The croutons were stale, which was disappointing. The dressing was your "run of the mill" bottled dressing, which wasn't a big deal but hey, who goes to a pizza place for the salad anyway, right?! The salad was not a dealbreaker, trust me. Overall, I enjoyed the pizza and will be visiting again.

    GardenLite salad

First time to visit- ordered the cauliflower crust Localite pizza with pepperoni, andouille, jalapeños and hot sauce on the side. Also added the garden Lite salad which comes premade in a cooler. Salad was lots of fresh spinach, feta and Greek olives. Tasty but hard to mix, dress and eat in the small plastic bowl from the serving cooler. Loved the topping selection and service was quick and friendly. The cauliflower crust did not come out as crispy as desired. It was definitely on the floppy, saggy side of things. But all in all- still good and quite delicious. Will for sure give them another try soon.

Just wanted to give credit to one of your employees, Jazz. I'm not a person to complain so I won't harp on the first half of my customer service experience at Lit but I will say Jazz was a very courteous and kind person and whether he noticed my experience wasn't going well or he's just a kind person he completely turned my experience from a 1 star to a 5. I wanted to leave a 1 star, but Jazz made my pizza perfectly and seems to be great with customers. Thanks man

I love trying the pizza of the month! This month is Lasagna and I'm so happy they brought it back. It's one of my faves!! The meat sauce is just perfect with the ricotta and fresh basil.

Sorry, I half before I took the phone.

The food is delicious and generous. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. Vegan and vegetarian friendly. would definitely recommend.

Great pizza and great attitude. The wait time was short and they were 1/2 full. I have been there twice and will be back soon.

I looked around and saw that all of the tables inside were reserved and we were lucky enough to be seated on the patio, where there were also a good number of tables reserved. It wasn't too bad being outside because they had some space heaters, and the table we were at had a nice view of the sunset. There was also live music, which to us was a huge plus. Our server was Chloe, and she was great! Attentive enough that we never had to wait for anything, and very pleasant. We started with a mule for me and an espresso martini for my friend. She says it's one of the best, if not the best, espresso martini she has had in Baton Rouge. My mule was the just strong enough to hit the spot. As far as our food goes, we loved how fresh the bruschetta tasted and how the meatballs practically melted in your mouth. My friend preferred the Lil Peppa because she liked their red sauce a lot and I preferred the salsiccia con potate (mozzarella, Italian sausage, roasted potatoes and rosemary with a white sauce) because I found the flavor combinations interesting. I favored the tiramisu, while she favored the cannoli. We were both in agreement that we would come back and get all of these again, so they were all winners to us.

There's no organization to what anyone is doing. The dining room tables aren't bussed and about five walk-ins and me are waiting for online orders. There's nobody directing the kitchen and no front-end person catering to the three tables there. Now I've worked in restaurants for half my working life and some in grad school. These deficiencies are exacerbated by not having a firm managerial hand. It's what happens when everyone is in their 20s with little to no experience in the world reacting to a rush rather than being proactive. There's no reason why I should wait 20 mins for two pizzas when I get there after ordering it 15 mins prior to leaving my house just down the street and 5 or 6 staff working. There were enough people to handle the rush if they had more leadership and direction. That's the sad part.

The service was great and the vibe is nice. There are some menu modifications like the initial smoked wings now being fried and a slight variation in the wing sauces. The new pizza crust has too much cornmeal in the recipe. The old thin crust was the way to go with minimal cornmeal if it had it at all before. Cheese sticks were slightly burnt at the bottom and too much cornmeal in its crust also. Wings were good but my family and I prefer the smoked vs fried a hundred times over. Hot honey wing sauce was delicious. Decent visit overall but honestly not a huge fan of the food changes other than the location. Will try again soon.
