My wife and I have been passing this place for months and finally got the chance to stop by. I'm originally from Chicago and she's originally from New York so we have the Pizza debate all the time. She has friends who eat there a lot and keep saying how amazing it is. First Impressions: This place is NICE. When I got the chance to look around it is the perfect first date spot for *anybody*. The menu is diverse for a Pizzeria. They even have a chef selected Salumi Board. In the end we split a Sensation salad(which is the best I've had), Calamari Fritti, Carnosa and Mushroom Medley. The Good: Our server was Andrea. She was outstanding. She did her best to take care of us and in the end she went above and beyond with her service. The Calamari was ok but seemed to be more breaded than actual Protein. The first thing that came to mind when I tried the Marinara was "Fresh". It tasted like it was obviously done that morning. The Not So Good: When Andrea took our order she made it a point to tell us that she would space out our order. That didn't happen. And she told us the kitchen didn't follow her orders. Everything came seconds from each other. I understand a sense of urgency because the parking lot is always full and they want to push the crowds in a way where the next wave can have a place to park...But the restaurant wasn't even full. The Parking lot was but there were plenty of tables available. In the end we felt Serve and Burned. The Pizza: The char on the doh was great. I love a good fired oven pizza. But the pizza itself didn't seem like it was cooked all the way through. When I picked up a slice it just flopped down. My wife's pizza was dry. She ended up asking if they had any kind of garlic butter. And Andrea understood the assignment. She came back with the Shrimp Scampi sauce it ended up making it seem to be the one thing the Mushroom Medley needed all along. (I 100% Recommend it.) My pizza was ok, but only when the 3 slices I took a bite of had all of the toppings on them. Less than half of the pizza had Pepperoni on it. I did not get the impression that this was something that happens all the time so we will be back. I would still recommend this place to everybody. read more

The atmosphere was great, the service was good, and timing was perfect. The food was a hard miss for me. The garlic knots were recommended and I tried them, however it was like a hard biscuit with garlic butter poured on it to attempt to soften it. The fries were the same, hard with a ton of garlic on it. Now, the pizza profile (picture wise) was spot on, however the taste wasn't there at all. It has to be a target audience for it. The garlic knots come with two surprises - they're about double the size you'd expect (so an order of two will be as big as an order of four anywhere else), and they are not overpowered with garlic. Pizza is great. Not good enough to endure the staff attitudes. I've been here 4-5x and each time I find the young staff oddly snobbish for pizza in BR. Not all of them but there always seems to be one or two.. Tried a midweek lunch stop last week. They have a late lunch/happy hour that starts that 3pm and ends at 6pm. I was able to try the meatballs, mozzarella sticks, and a Caesar salad. Started with a bottle of Chianti and several appetizers: the Garlic Knots were outstandingly delicious, then Brussel sprouts that were so tasty with a grilled edge on each one. They're not very big for specialty pizzas and twice the dine-in is just a soggy mess. Definitely not worth the price charged. Tonight, I had a Italian hero and the bread was stale. It was over stuffed with meat that was not grilled. We had a server I had to ask for three refills. She had no ability to juggle a huge party. I also had to ask for a condiment with my fries. It was 50 dollars for tomato heirloom salad, an Italian sub that was horribly stale, a Diet Coke that would not have been refilled if I didn't ask, and condimentless fries.
