I made reservations for the Tunnel for my boyfriend's birthday. I am so glad I did. We arrived about ten minutes early and found the entranceway to the speakeasy by the clue given which was such a cool experience. Once in the restaurant, we went to the bar and got their amazing Golden Gatsby cocktail. It was sweet and fruity and had a nice kick to it. The bartender made great drinks our entire visit. I also got an old fashioned which was great. We ordered the beef wellingtons minis and the duck confit tacos which were very yummy. There were not a lot of people there at all. It was us and another couple. We did not have any long wait times at all which was one of the reasons I chose an earlier reservation time not a time later in the afternoon. The hype has died down, it's not worth making a reservation for. They have fancy drinks and bartenders trying to make craft cocktails. There's a stark difference between their drinks and somewhere like city club or colonels club. The quality and craft of the drinks are night and day. This place just doesn't have it figured out when it comes to quality and knowing how to make the drinks. HOWEVER, we went without a reservation and the lady went above and beyond to get us in. We had such a memorable time at The Tunnel. The intimate seating and low lighting gives it that special romantic vibe! The host, M, was very knowledgeable of the history behind The Tunnel as well. She even gave us a special escort to locate the restrooms. Our bartender, Patricia, recommended The Golden Gatsby and she sure did show off her mixology expertise because that drink was absolutely delicious! We can't wait to come back in a few months! Read the reviews before you go! I wish I would have! Terrible service. You have to wait in a very long line to get a drink. The drinks are not that great. If you are paying a 21% automatic gratuity, I think they should wait on you. We also made a reservation, but that just means you get in. They don't reserve a table for you. Also, You shouldn't have to stand in a a long line. I have had cheaper and better drinks at other places. Skip this one, overrated, very over hyped. read more

First, I have to say that this is my honest opinion of the Tunnel. I went to experience this speakeasy lounge as a pre-birthday celebration with my husband and friends. I made reservations in advance for this date. You need to signup for their newsletter to know when they have availability. To my knowledge you can only reserve for up to 4 people. Reservations are the only way to access the Tunnel, no walk-ins. You do have a cute little interactive search for the entrance. I won't go into details because it would ruin it for others, but it is located inside the Hilton hotel! Once we found the entrance, we headed down the stairs and we were greeted by a hostess. The inside is very dim and moody like a traditional speakeasy. You can see immediately why a reservation is needed because they definitely have limited space and only one bar. After we checked out the actual tunnel, we headed to the bar to order. Their are no other bar maids, so everyone has to go to the bar to order. We ordered 2 old fashioned and 2 Golden Gatsby. They come in gorgeous glassware and you can tell the level of craftsmanship in the cocktails. The drinks were great! We also ordered a charcuterie board. My first issue with the Tunnel experience is not actually having reserved seating. We ordered food to share and because of how the other guest were seated, our husbands had to stand while we sat. There were no all 4 seats together. For the exclusivity and need for reservations, it would have been nice to seat all together at some point without having to wait for other guests to clear out. Once the charcuterie came out, it was underwhelming and small. For $35, it just seemed like the portions were off. There was some good items on the board though, like the sausage. The cocktail shrimp were okay. After a few guests cleared, we were able to all sit together and order another round of drinks. Now at this point there are at least 6 people in line all waiting on just 2 bartenders. Not a huge deal, but for $20 a drink, reservations, and 21% gratuity to all checks (read the fine print on your reservation) this isn't the quality of service I would expect. Overall, the speakeasy is nice, but at the price point for one evening. I don't think anyone will be running back to experience it again. I'll let you do the math and how expensive it can be! I've been to bigger and better cities and speakeasy's for a way better cost and service experience. Note: There are no cocktail prices on the menu. read more

I took my friend for her birthday... We were instructed to arrive 10 mins early and await a text for entry. Once we received the text instructions we found TLiG. She is so warm, friendly, and funny. My friend and I are goofy so it took us a minute to find the secret entrance. Upon navigating the stairs, we met the nice hostess that gave us our keys. We went directly into the tunnel and found 2 clues. We decided to order drinks and an appetizer- cold plate not really worth it. I had the smoked Old Fashioned and she chose regular. After those, we were giggling and cracking jokes. Clues? What clues? We forgot all about the game, because the drinks were so strong and GREAT! We ordered another round of drinks and the 2 shots from the clues. Now, we're really giggling and crying, because those drinks got us. The bartenders were pretty cool. Loved the vibe of the place. It was cute but each drink is $18, they add 21% gratuity, and took away some of the clues but left stuff which just left a bunch of people standing in a dark tunnel kinda pissed off lol Also, I was told in a message when I made the reservation that they add 21% gratuity, but they don't show that/tell you that when you pay your ticket. So, hours later, I completely forgot to tell my friends that and they tipped on top of 21% percent. The Tunnel is the coolest speakeasy experience I have ever seen or heard of! Found the "lady with the green cup" and received my next clue for entry. I don't want to spoil the fun, but just getting in the Tunnel was a fun experience! The cocktails are unique and tasty- served in vintage glassware for great photo ops! The overall experience was amazing!!! I'm not going to give anything away. We had a group of 4 of us visiting from the ATL. We enjoyed every single second of our experience!!! Delvin was incredibly good, accommodating and kind. One in our group didn't drink and he still made them feel welcome and cared for.
