    Vintage Flatbread
    Leodely R.

I tried the Vintage Flatbread, and though flatbreads tend to be crispier, ironically what I liked most about it as a girl with braces was the softness of the bread. The beignets were brought out overly brown with a barely-there sprinkle of powdered sugar, and they were tough to chew. Delicious and overpriced matcha, but maybe I got upcharged for a modification. Definitely DO NOT leave the table to the restroom, not even for a single minute- They'll clean the table, throw away the expensive drinks, and leave only your personal belongings that you left to clearly signal you weren't done yet. Overall the visit felt like a costly one-and-done, and the disposal of my 3/4 full expensive drink felt like insult to injury.

I went on two separate occasions. The first time I got the iced matcha latte (with almond milk) and the second time I got the hot matcha latte (with almond milk). Both were great. The baristas were phenomenal. I also like the vibe of the cafe.

Torn up and dirty all around. Hard to find a decent table.

Went on a Saturday at 4 and it was busy at all. The bartender is incredibly unfriendly. I asked for a recommendation between two drink choices and she wouldn't give one. Place feels very dirty. Drinks were decent. Didn't feel clean enough to order food from the kitchen so we had a drink and left.

I see the pictures of the lattes and good looking food so I decide to give this a shot. Let's start with the flat white that I ordered. It came warm in a giant cappuccino mug and I don't even think she steamed the milk (the picture is actually how it came, I didn't touch it yet). They pride themselves on their coffee and I was impressed that they even had a flat white on the menu so I had high hopes. I also ordered the poached egg on the biscuit which came out as a hard boiled egg on top of a stale biscuit. I asked for an egg that wasn't " hard-boiled" and guess what came back on top... a mini quiche. I could see the confusion though, the cook probably thought that I wanted an egg prepared a different way than before. Anyway, the cheese on it wasn't even melted and the arugula was slimy like cooked spinach. Coffee egg cheese biscuit arugula . The only thing I ate was the old dry bacon. One out of five elements of that was edible. On another note, the atmosphere is very nice and it has a cool vibe. It has a really good potential, just poorly executed.

    Dubai chocolate matcha

Such a cool spot!! It's a cafe, bar, and restaurant all-in-one. I got the Dubai chocolate matcha which I loved. You couldn't really taste the matcha but the chocolate cold foam was delicious paired with the pistachio syrup. I got the flatbread and it was yummy! This location is amazing because it's open all day and has restaurant quality food. The inside is cozy with plenty of open space and seating. It's the perfect spot to study all day or date night or grab some drinks.

    Seared Tuna Salad

Location: It's convenient. We chose this place because it was within walking distance from our hotel. We could have chosen pretty much any other restaurant within the same block but decided that, due to the pictures, this place was worth the try. Ambience: It tries to convey a message of "something old and something new". The something new is brutalist: steel wire wall dividers, low seating chairs, exposed cement walls. The something old is an old piano in the corner and vintage furniture. Service: Nothing to note...which is a great thing. The front-of-house is young and courteous. We were greeted upon entering and given menus to look through. There was one food-runner, one bartender, and two people helming the register/café counter. We ordered fried shrimp bites, 3 Sister's Panini, and a Seared Tuna Salad. After seating ourselves with our number, one of the cashiers apologetically explained that they had run out of shrimp. She quickly took my adjustment and changed the bill. We ended up getting the Artichoke Dip, instead. Food: Artichoke Dip: warm and creamy. The chips were thin which complimented the dip well. The artichoke flavor could have been more pronounced, though. Three Sister's Panini: this was my friend's order and the critique he gave was "Great for the first two bites but soon became boring. Fries are great!". Take with that what you will, I didn't take a bite of the panini. Seared Ahi Tuna Salad: overall the flavors worked great. Fish and citrus is a tried-and-true combination. The salad dressing was light and tart so as to not overpower the delicate fish. There were also pieces of mandarin oranges tossed throughout to add more subtle sweetness and citrus. The salad was easy to eat and it did hit the spot. My only critique for the salad would be the way the tuna was prepared. The sear didn't reach the right high temperature so the exterior lacked the Maillard reaction that I was looking for. Either that or the tuna wasn't patted dry before being added to a hot pan. The color was a light grey. The fish was also chewy in many places due to the connective tissue still being present. I believe this is the reason why many places choose to cut their tuna completely into slices, a chewy fish has an awkward mouthfeel. Because the tissues were still connected at the base, I had to use my knife. The tuna ended up falling apart slightly due to my knife work. Flavor and texture of the fish, besides the tissues, was great. The fish was exceedingly tender which speaks to the quality. Conclusion: I would recommend this place. I didn't have the time to try the café or bar portions of the restaurant so I can't speak to those. The food is great for a nice afternoon meal!

Cute spot in downtown, got the fancy smore beignet which was nice. Saw a lot of people getting work done/studying or lounging. There's a bar area too for drinks

The Vintage in Baton Rouge is a charming spot for coffee and treats. (Looks very cute as a bar too, but we came here during day time). I ordered a latte and some beignet bites, and both were great. The latte was smooth and well-crafted, while the beignet bites were light and fluffy. Although I didn't dine in, the ambiance of the restaurant is cozy, with a mix of vintage and modern decor that makes it unique. Service was friendly, though the wait for the beignets was a bit longer than expected.

Stopped by after the Blues Fest for an alcohol soaking snack and it was a great choice! The place is very cute and I loved the different seating options. Our waitress was very nice and patient.

Nice atmosphere, a bit pricy for a drink and the beignets were a tad bit overcooked. The wait is a bit long, especially when there was no line and it wasn't busy in the restaurant, about 10 minutes of waiting for an iced latte.

The Vintage is one of my favorite places to visit for a laid back date, drink and bite to eat. I love how multifunctional this place is. You could have brunch, lunch, a study group, or a meeting. The ambiance is just inviting and chill. The last time I went I tried the bbq chicken sandwich and fries. It was sooo good and the portion size was generous! The drinks are always good too! Definitely order an espresso martini, just perfection! The flatbread pizza is also one of my favorites! The chicken bacon ranch flatbread is so rich. You can't go wrong with ordering the beignets too! So, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar. The service is great and entertaining! You may get a few good jokes and a magic trick!

    Very cool interior.

Is this a bar, a coffeehouse, or a restaurant? How about all three. Drop this place in the middle of Hollywood and you have the latest trendy hipster spot. It's got a hipster name, a super sweet looking bar, and, of course, coffee drinks. I don't care what it is. My old fashioned (made with rye) was carefully-made and simply outstanding. Our chips and spinach and artichoke dip were terrific. The decor is super cool. The staff was very welcoming. I could hang here for hours. This is a very cool spot.

THE SALAD + Chicken warm goat cheese, spring & frisée lettuce mix, lardons, warm bacon dressing
    Amanda M.

On today's foodie adventure, I chose @thevintagebr, and the girls drove in from #lafayette to brunch with me. I thought this was going to be a totally different experience than what it was. If you're looking for a brunch spot, this isn't your spot. It's more like a coffee shop meets bar with an ig worthy-adjacent vibe. You walk in & seat yourself & order at the counter for food & coffee & then the opposite counter for drinks at the bar. The staff were interesting & the personalities hella emo. There was a really nice guy that brought the food & grabbed my coffee, which was made & left sitting on the counter (I asked for him to check on it & confirm it was mine). : Lavender Latte Iced : THE SALAD + Chicken warm goat cheese, spring & frisée lettuce mix, lardons, warm bacon dressing The latte & salad were both really great options. It was the ambiance, staff & vibe I didn't really like. #foodreviews #instadaily #foodie #solotravel #southerngal #creole #louisiana #louisianafood #louisiana #blogger ##foodblogger #foodgram #foodreview #batonrouge #batonrougefoodies #batonrougelouisiana #lavenderlatte

Both good choices. Overall, the wine pairing was okay. I like the appetizer pairing of a nice light, white bubbly prosecco. The second was a classic red wine to pair with a steak. The last wine is where I was not impressed. It was a dessert wine that had a smell similar to a distilled whiskey. I took a sip and decided I rather another glass of prosecco. Shout out to the server who was accommodating and swapped out that glass for what I requested. He didn't have to, but he did! The food was mouth watering delicious. We started off with the sauteed shrimp and the piquillo peppers. THANK GOD the piquillo peppers are a Solera regular. I will be getting them again. The shrimp were just okay, nothing out of this world. Second course was the filet with polenta. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavors that complimented each other well. Final course we had the rum bread pudding and the manchego cheesecake. The manchego cheese is definitely a rich and an acquiring flavor. Without the blueberry sauce, you would think its just a slab of cheese. The rum bread pudding was spectacular. I have never loved a rum sauce with my bread pudding, but the Solera one kept me wanting more. Overall and enjoyable experience, with a couple minor foods that lack the razzle dazzle of a 5 star review.

I looked around and saw that all of the tables inside were reserved and we were lucky enough to be seated on the patio, where there were also a good number of tables reserved. It wasn't too bad being outside because they had some space heaters, and the table we were at had a nice view of the sunset. There was also live music, which to us was a huge plus. Our server was Chloe, and she was great! Attentive enough that we never had to wait for anything, and very pleasant. We started with a mule for me and an espresso martini for my friend. She says it's one of the best, if not the best, espresso martini she has had in Baton Rouge. My mule was the just strong enough to hit the spot. As far as our food goes, we loved how fresh the bruschetta tasted and how the meatballs practically melted in your mouth. My friend preferred the Lil Peppa because she liked their red sauce a lot and I preferred the salsiccia con potate (mozzarella, Italian sausage, roasted potatoes and rosemary with a white sauce) because I found the flavor combinations interesting. I favored the tiramisu, while she favored the cannoli. We were both in agreement that we would come back and get all of these again, so they were all winners to us.
