If you are looking for a great date night restaurant with great food, look no further. The food, service, and ambiance of Bin 77 was amazing. A group of ladies and I were looking for a nice spot to get dinner and drinks and chose to try out a new restaurant we hadn't tried before. We all ordered the steak frites meal which came with this amazing red sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection just like I love mine (medium rare) and their fries are sooooooo good. We all enjoyed our food and the ambiance of the restaurant. It was nice and quiet. The servers were great and very helpful with anything we needed throughout our visit. read more

Lived in the BR area for years and haven't yet tried this. Had a friend playing music so decided to come by. When we arrived we asked where we needed to go, the hostess sent us over to the Sidebar. This is where it gets a small bit confusing. Noone to greet you, even stopped next to a floor manager, who didn't have much to say. We just took a table, wasn't sure what ones were available. Im sorry to the server if we messed you up. She was fantastic, but could tell she had a lot going on. She was also helping at the bar. I was pleased with the food. Im definitely going to be back for the Steak Flatbread, it was well balanced and filling. Husband had Steak Frites, we were not very adventurous this trip. But will be back again. Ending the night with some Bread Pudding, a little sweet and a touch of tart from the blueberries. The night turned around, with all the thanks for our server Ally T, she was the best read more

Always great to eat here. We go with small plates to try as many things as we can. The service is fast and friendly, even when they're busy. Casual, but upscale. read more

Loved this place! Went for a coworkers birthday and learned they have a pretty great happy hour on Fridays from 11am to 6pm with cocktails for $7- French 75s, daiquiris, margaritas, mules, and more on the menu to choose from. We had the crawfish and spinach dip which was delicious. Service was really great and the atmosphere was very fun and friendly. The stuffed red peppers on the charcuterie board were my fav! I thoroughly enjoyed my steaks frites dinner with chimichurri sauce and fries. The blueberry lemon bread pudding was divine crispy and flavorful! read more

Food was eh'. Nothing to brag about. Seasoning and flavor not on point. Pricey. And could get On board with price if flavor existed. We got the steak flatbread. Said it had horseradish. It must have been a small small dollop! the spinach and crawfish dip was sub par. No flavor to brag on. Service gets less than 1 star. Bar service 5 star. The lady with short dark brown hair rocks. We should have just stayed at the bar. Servers on floor need to learn from bar how to take care of customers. We got seated first at bar and then later moved outside. It honestly was 10 min before we stopped a waitress and asked who had our table. All the other servers passed us. Making eye contact and never stopped. Clearly we hadn't been waited on but no one seemed to care. Our bill was close to 200 and it was the worst experience. Other than thelive music I would have walked out soon after we sat down outside. Do better. Train your staff. And season your food. It's Louisiana!!! 7/17/26 read more

Bin 77 Bistro & SideBar - Midnight Margarita - Tapas/Small Plates Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Such a fun spot for a night out! This is one of my favorite places to go on a Thursday or Friday night -- they usually have live music, and the atmosphere is always so fun and lively. It's perfect for a date night or a girls' night out. They have a great wine selection and the food is always delicious. The steak flatbread is a must -- it's basically their signature dish -- and the seared scallops are incredible too. It can get a little pricy, but totally worth it for the experience. The patio is super nice when the weather's good, and it's just one of those places that always puts you in a good mood. Definitely a go-to spot for a fun evening out! read more

Went with some coworkers to celebrate one of their upcoming nuptials. We really had a good time. Wish there was some food on the Happy Hour menu but the cocktail that I had hit the spot. The food is really good too, albeit a bit overpriced. The atmosphere was relaxed and it wasn't crowded so we weren't rushed and spent a few hours eating and talking. Definitely a good place for a date night. We shared a flatbread, spinach and crawfish dip, Parmesan truffle fries and the Brie appetizer. In spite of the prices being on the higher end, I don't plan to wait years again before my next visit. read more

Horrible, overpriced food. Wouldn't recommend. The staff is also highly rude and expects high tips for their highly overpriced and mediocre food read more

Service is amazing. Staff is so friendly! It's the place where they know your name Food is consistently good! Great food and drink options. The one thing that will keep me from returning to the wine bar is the seating. As a woman in shorts/dress/skirt the stools are so uncomfortable! They tear up the legs. I had to ask for a cloth napkin to sit on! read more

Bin77 is quickly becoming one of my top 5 restaurants to frequent in Baton Rouge. Seating inside or out, live music, great atmosphere. Their Creole Devils on Horseback is a must try. I have yet to have an entree that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Cocktails are spot on as well. read more

Celiac Review! After Facebook messaging a number of restaurants in the Baton Rouge area Bin 77 was one of the few that replied stating they had a gluten-free menu. Going off that statement we chose to try it out. They do have a separate gluten-free menu that have a handful of items on it. They highlight the items that they take off or removed from the food in order to make it gluten-free. I ordered the stuffed pork tenderloin. It came with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Overall it was good/average, (pork didn't have a ton of flavor though), but since the demi glaze is not GF, I asked for compound butter to go along with it. I imagine with the demi glaze. the pork tenderloin would have much more flavor. No issues ordering gluten-free and was told that they use separate pans to cook in. Non gf meals ordered: smoked ribeye, seared scallops, and another stuffed pork tenderloin. Overall consensus, no complaints, but a little pricey (maybe due to location). read more

Food even better than I expected. Beautiful presentation and comfortable atmosphere. The flatbread with steak and Gruyère was simply delicious and very filling. Blackened shrimp were the best I have had anywhere. read more

We always have excellent service (James twice now) and food/drink. Highly recommended.

The workers act weird and stuck up when you come here. You stand there waiting to be seated and they act like they can't see you and don't greet you. Came here with some classmates and when I walked in they were not acknowledging my classmate that got there before me. I asked her if she had been greeted and she said no. I told them how many people we had and they didn't start preparing a table until I forced them to speak to me. Today I came and they did the same. No acknowledgement until another group of people came in behind me and then a girl came and sat me. I walked out because the vibes were atrocious. The manager was standing right there and didn't even say anything to his workers. Their behavior is uppity and pretentious. The food is too subpar for that kind of behavior. Get over yourselves. This is Baton Rouge and you are not a fine dining restaurant. read more

I went to Bin 77 for my anniversary with my husband. We looked to see if we needed reservations, but they aren't on any of the platforms like Open Table or Seven Rooms. The restaurant has a lot of seating, both indoor and outdoor. We ordered the Creole Devil Horseback and the Steak flatbread. The horseback bacon wrapped dates were good. It tasted like a meat lover pizza without the crust. The steak and Gruyère was pretty good as well. I do think the steak could have been seasoned a little more. We also ordered a few cocktails! My husband had the honey old fashioned and the blackberry lemon drop. Both of these cocktails were great! My only complaint is that I feel like the kitchen closed almost an hour before closing and the menu is sort of limited. read more

A great way to spend a Tuesday evening! We sat on the patio and listened to live music. The patio is in the middle of the restaurant which I thought was pretty cool! It is also huge and gives the feeling that you are in a gazebo type setting. With tons of shade, a water fountain, plants, and being surrounded by the Perkins Rowe buildings, I truly felt I was in a garden lol. The ambiance was spot on. I ordered the Prosecco for a drink, and it was delicious as every Prosecco is. For an entree, I got the Caprese flatbread. It was ok. The bread it was on wasn't typical flatbread bread. It was thicker and had a hint of sweetness to it. My friends got the chicken sandwich BLT, and it was very good. I like the shoe string fries and how you get to pick whether it is traditional fries or truffle fries. Service was great. She was very attentive and didn't bother us too much throughout the night. Definitely a good spot to come for happy hour drinks and appetizers. read more

We visited during lunch on a rainy Friday. We entered on the bar side. The inside was clean, and had a nice atmosphere. Our server was a nice young man. He gave us some of his favorite items on the menu. We started with the Creole Devils on Horseback. These were good. They had a slightly sweet taste. We went with 2 burgers. One with a side salad and one with truffle fries. Everything was good. For drinks we had blackberry lemon drop which was delicious and a Mocktail that was okay. There is a nice patio section outside. I will definitely return on a night for the live music. read more

Overpriced. No lunch menu. Chicken on the salad was burned. Crawfish dip literally had 2 small crawfish. Not sure how they stay in business.

My boyfriend and I went here before our 7:45 movie on a Friday night, and were seated immediately. The restaurant was very nice, and dimly lit. We got the Crawfish and Spinach Dip, and thought it was delicious! We then split the Bin Burger, and subbed the Frites (Fries) for Parmesan Chive Truffle Frites. The Ketchup was delicious. The Garlic "Aioli" mostly just tasted like mayo with garlic in it, but it was still good for a fry dipping sauce. The burger was very good, we both enjoyed it. For drinks, we tried the Mai-Tai and Cucumber Gimlet, both were super tasty. We loved this place and will most likely return! read more

Evan and Jake were so helpful and had the BEST cocktail recommendations!! I will 1000% be back!

Decided to drive to Baton Rouge for a little day date and stumbled on this place. First thing I noticed was that even though they seemed to be more wine based they still had a decent selection of cocktails/spirits and draft & bottle beer. We tried to order 1 specific cocktail and couldn't because the alcohol wasn't finished infusing, which we were kind of bummed by but also showed me they weren't just relying on pre-flavored alcohol. We decided to start with the Brie and had a salad and a burger as our mains. The Brie was presented super nicely and it was good, but at $20 I probably wouldn't get it again and it was a bit messy. The star of dinner was my salad at only $12-13 but chocked full of stuff (poached pear, goat cheese, candied walnuts) and tasted super good. The BF had the burger which he said was good but wasn't overly impressed by. All-in-all, I'd totally come back to grab the salad and a glass of wine for lunch again while shopping if I was in town. read more

We tried Bin 77 the other night for dinner. We live downtown, ad it's a bit of a jog, but not too bad. It was a weekday night, so parking wasn't terrible in Perkins Row. We were greeted immediately, and decided to sit on the patio, as it wasn't overly hot or humid. There were several tables already occupied, and the vibe was chill and comfortable. The waiter was readily available and attentive. Cocktails were well-made and refreshing. We had the tuna tartare and fried shrimp curry appetizers. They were both delicious. They have a wide wine menu, and we had a bottle of excellent Pinot Gris, which was also a good value. Entrees were a shrimp salad and the fish, and we enjoyed both. By this time, the live music started. It was a Jimmy Buffet inspired guitarist, who was quite good, and added to the vibe. We didn't want to leave, so we ordered the bread pudding for dessert, and more wine. We had a great date night at Bin 77, and will definitely be back! read more

We ordered the crawfish and spinach dip as an appetizer, and the seared scallops and the pistachio crusted lamb chops to share. The crawfish spinach dip was very cheesy and yummy- it came out piping hot and still bubbling. The goat cheese Boursin risotto with the scallops was so good, and the mint salsa verde quite suited the lamb chops! The polenta with the lamb chops wasn't my favorite, but the lamb chops were still excellent. The ambiance was nice as they were playing live music while we were eating. read more

If you are looking for a nice place to go grab a drink l then you might want to try this place. Being I do not drink, I don't plan on coming back. The patio was very cute and fun when someone is performing. Inside, the table we sat at was sticky and flies were flying all over. Our server was very rude saying only a few words. The food was not for me. The salad was bitter in all the wrong ways, the flat bread didn't taste fresh, the truffle fries were not for my taste buds. read more

Food was so good started off with the Coconut Curry Shrimp, Creole Devils on Horeseback (Bacon Wrapped Dates) and Roasted Garlic Hummus all three were very very good! I had the midnight margarita to start with and ended with the blueberry lemon drop both cocktails were delicious. I will say service did take a minute to greet us and grab us waters we probably sat down and waited 3-5 minutes before our waitress even made it our table to greet us and then another 3-5 minutes before we got waters It wasn't a busy night either so it was a tad bit absurd that it took forever to be greeted however it could have been an off night and we had a great time anyways. We ended the meal by splitting the Thai Salad with blackened chicken and it was easily my favorite salad ever I will be back solely for that salad it was that good! All in all had a great dinner and enjoyed our night. read more

I started working in the restaurant industry 40 years ago at age 15 I have never sent an entire table meal back until today! When I did the only thing I got comped was the meals I sent back. It was some of the worst service by the management I've ever seen I could not recommend this place less than any place I've ever been before, the food was horrendous overcooked and it must've sat on the heat lamp for...I don't know how long, we didn't get food for over an hour since our actual order and they were given a warm plate of sliced pita bread and acted like that was some kind of Great thing they gave us, it was NOT! When discussing with my friends locations with good outdoor spaces for getting together during this phase of the pandemic, and looking for somewhere with a great selection of wine, Bin 77 was the choice. Knowing they have a nice large patio area, we knew we would feel comfortable distancing from others. I must say, this place was hoppin for a Friday afternoon. Thankfully, we had a good table placement outside, and we felt like we were distanced enough from the other patrons. I did feel like the inside areas were WAY too crowded and close together for my comfort, so if this seat had not been available, we likely would have moved to another location. I started with an Old Fashioned, and it was strong enough to kick the night off! So tasty. Once my friends arrived, our server Lexie could tell our friend knew her wine, so we were given the expansive menu. A delicious pinot noir was soon on the table. We split the brie... omg.... the brie... You could smell it as it arrived to the table, and it just melted in your mouth. Thankfully there were three of us because I probably would have just eaten the whole thing myself... it was so good. I was very pleasantly surprised with the staff and experience. I look forward to when live music returns and life sort of settles back into what it was. Thank you, Bin 77, for giving a little sense of normalcy during this time. read more

It's a beautiful restaurant in a super area of town. Perhaps we hit it at a "down" time (between lunch and dinner -- mid-afternoon). Service was appallingly dismal...we talked and waited for the waitress we eventually had to ask for. We ordered two simple salads that took 45 min. Mine was so dry I had to ask for dressing (waiting another 10 min just for that). Would've ordered a main course, but couldn't afford another 45 min waiting for that. read more

My husband and I came here for our weekly date night. We sat outside. The atmosphere was great. A guy was playing the guitar and singing. It was very nice. The food was great. I called ahead and asked what time the bar closed. Zoe told me that the side bar would remain open until 10/10:30. Arrived shortly before 9. We walked in. Guy escorted us to the side bar. We go into the outdoor area that connects and a few staff members were congregated speaking with each other and giving us a "where are they going look" we entered and a few ppl were there. The bartender refused to serve us and began to clean up the bar saying that it was his discretion on the time he closed and not the others on the other side. Some back and forth went on. He was extremely rude and quite sassy for a grown up man. So we walked back over to the main bar and started to tell them about him and one of the young ladies so politely served us although she had actually closed that front bar already. We were thankful to her but disappointed that the information we were fed shortly before arriving was incorrect. I hate a place with inconsistent hours. And it's not like the place was empty. They had patrons at both bars so that was strange. We had our quick one drink and immediately left because we were out of options. Very disappointing. read more
