Carrot cake

Enjoyed our first experience so much we had to come back for more!! And it was even better than our first! This time we ordered the cast iron redfish entree, and grilled lamb chop, it was again over the top! ended with the delicious carrot cake! Taste, Presentation,Service = FIVE STARS!! Hats off to the Chef and our server Kate F. fantastic job to you!!

Wagyu flat bread 9.5/10 GR8

Lovely experience & great food. Our waiter was Mr. Kasey, his service was impeccable. Drinks always stayed filled. Not once were we waiting on him. 9.9/10 for the service. As for the food, I would give it 8.9/10. The cheese pull unbelievable, the filet cooked to perfection, the redfish beautifully on a bed of some Jamaica rice mixture (similar to jerk, but creamy). Overall 9.4/10 will be back!! Haven't had a great meal like this in few months!!

This place is a real hidden gem. I love the quaint atmosphere. The service is always great as well as anything you order! I absolutely love it here. The food was perfect , I almost licked the plate. Specialty drinks are soo good. I usually order the jungle book, it has a dark rum feel... soo good!

The food was amazing. Everyone should try this place. The service was just as great as the food. The ambiance was nice and dark but not too dark. They have blacked out windows to keep the sunlight out. The decor was nicely set up. I also had shrimp and grits (not pictured) that was delicious, but shrimp was prepared with the heads on. Nonetheless still delicious.

Our 2nd visit! Happy to be back, the ability to pair remarkable wine with a delicious meal and excellent service is top notch. Vaughn was our server who stayed on top of drink levels, was knowledgeable about specials and an added joy to our evening. Had wagyu flatbread as a starter. TASTY I love balsamic flavor profile with it! Filet was ordered for dinner with Brussels sprouts, as well as, prime rib sliders with au jus and crawfish Mac and cheese. Fantastic evening all around! Interior is expertly done, service, arrival of food perfectly timed. Looking forward to our next visit.

Upscale option in the AP. This place is close to me and it's taken me a while to find a second to dress up and unwind but I finally made it in. The place is small but quaint and the service was wonderful. Make a reservation because as mentioned this place can't sit too many people at once. The crawfish Mac was the key star here. It was cheesy and delicious. The red fish was cooked perfectly and my hubs said the smoked old fashion was number two out of the many he has tried. This is a great place for special events or a girls night out.

My wife and I went here for a Friday night date night and loved it. We had two drinks, the Catcher in the Rye and Pride and Prejudice. Both were good and strong. The food was great. We had the shishito peppers/Brussels sprouts which were probably our favorite, but the crawfish/asparagus arancine and the wagyu flatbread were really good as well. We'll definitely be back!

Everything was delicious! Our server, David, was wonderful & really took care of us. A nice intimate dinner spot. We'll definitely be back.

Called last minute hoping to get a reservation. The guy who answered was completely accommodating. He said they had a small lounge section and mentioned that he could reserve it for us. When we got there she sat us. It was a small table in the back with a very short table. If your there for only drinks and to socialize it's perfect. However we were planning to eat a lot. We saw a few seats at the bar and asked if we could move and they were absolutely okay with it. When we sat at the bar, the bartender was wonderful. Drinks : The gatsby 6/10. Idk why but I didn't love the smell which made it hard to sip a lot. Lemon drop = one of the best I've ever had. It was smooth and refreshing and not overpowering Chocolate covered strawberry = I could take it or leave it. Almost taste like too much cream? And it looks weird when things settle Moscow mule 7/10. Taste like a good refreshing Moscow mule which I adore. Food: Meatballs 8.5/10 absolutely delicious and moist with a nice texture on the outside Egg rolls or spring rolls 9/10 spicy but absolutely amazing would order again. Steak flat bread 3/10 I'm spoiled with bin 77 steak flatbread and this one just can't compare. Too much sauce on it you can't even taste the steak. Burrata salad 8/10 refreshing and a wonderful thing to split if you have someone to do so. Crawfish mac n cheese 5/10 To be fair I'm biased I'm never a fan of crawfish mac n cheese I'm more of a lobster Mac n cheese fan. Idk what it is about crawfish with the Mac n cheese. But it never pairs well for me. Black truffle fries 9.5/10 Perfectly crisp and the best size. Comes with a garlic ketchup and a horseradish. Which were amazing choices. Crawfish and asparagus arancini 8.4/10 Amazing texture. Crips on the outside moist on the inside. Flavor is absolutely there. They are like small fried balls of goodness. It's worth the wait and I will be back

Lamb Empanadas

Small place, so reserve ahead of time. Wonderful, stout, cocktails. Food is all good, but some are just standouts - empanadas, Wagyu meatballs, sliders, and any of their specials will blow you away!

Both good choices. Overall, the wine pairing was okay. I like the appetizer pairing of a nice light, white bubbly prosecco. The second was a classic red wine to pair with a steak. The last wine is where I was not impressed. It was a dessert wine that had a smell similar to a distilled whiskey. I took a sip and decided I rather another glass of prosecco. Shout out to the server who was accommodating and swapped out that glass for what I requested. He didn't have to, but he did! The food was mouth watering delicious. We started off with the sauteed shrimp and the piquillo peppers. THANK GOD the piquillo peppers are a Solera regular. I will be getting them again. The shrimp were just okay, nothing out of this world. Second course was the filet with polenta. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavors that complimented each other well. Final course we had the rum bread pudding and the manchego cheesecake. The manchego cheese is definitely a rich and an acquiring flavor. Without the blueberry sauce, you would think its just a slab of cheese. The rum bread pudding was spectacular. I have never loved a rum sauce with my bread pudding, but the Solera one kept me wanting more. Overall and enjoyable experience, with a couple minor foods that lack the razzle dazzle of a 5 star review.

The service this time was not good. Not good at all. After being seated, getting bread and drinks, our waiter disappeared. After half-an-hour, we asked someone else if they could find her. She came and apologized that she had forgotten about us. We ordered and waited another half-an-hour for one dish. My wife and I shared a plate of chicken primavera, and it took them a half-hour to prepare it. I am a fan of the slow pace of European restaurants, and we did enjoy a nice visit while waiting. And I got to see most of the second half of the Music City Bowl, and watch Tennessee make a solid run at a come-from-behind win (they almost did it, too). But if you want faster service, maybe check on your waiter sooner. And I will say it again - that vodka sauce is worth coming back for, and worth keeping the original four stars I gave them on the premise that our service was a fluke. Oh, and the complimentary piece of cheesecake was nice, too - rich and creamy.

I looked around and saw that all of the tables inside were reserved and we were lucky enough to be seated on the patio, where there were also a good number of tables reserved. It wasn't too bad being outside because they had some space heaters, and the table we were at had a nice view of the sunset. There was also live music, which to us was a huge plus. Our server was Chloe, and she was great! Attentive enough that we never had to wait for anything, and very pleasant. We started with a mule for me and an espresso martini for my friend. She says it's one of the best, if not the best, espresso martini she has had in Baton Rouge. My mule was the just strong enough to hit the spot. As far as our food goes, we loved how fresh the bruschetta tasted and how the meatballs practically melted in your mouth. My friend preferred the Lil Peppa because she liked their red sauce a lot and I preferred the salsiccia con potate (mozzarella, Italian sausage, roasted potatoes and rosemary with a white sauce) because I found the flavor combinations interesting. I favored the tiramisu, while she favored the cannoli. We were both in agreement that we would come back and get all of these again, so they were all winners to us.
