We took a risk and came here without a reservation on an LSU home game football Saturday night over Thanksgiving weekend. Thankfully, we were able to get a table right around 7 PM for six. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and always checking on us. We started off with the bread, which was complementary and delicious. For an appetizer, we had the meatballs, which were very good. For my meal I had the flank steak. It is a very generous portion. It came with an egg on top of the sliced steak and served on top of bed of fries. It came with a really good dipping sauce. I was not able to finish it. My spouse had a 10 ounce filet mignon that came with bone marrow. I sampled some of his, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a lovely experience with beautiful decor. The charcuterie board was not great. The shrimp cocktail was really good. The crab cake was delicious. The Delmonico ribeye was cooked to perfection! The Mac & cheese was awful and inedible. The wedge salad was just ok. The redfish was a good selection but the carrots were hard as a rock. The chicken and mashed potatoes with greens were all good. From the moment I walked in, the hostess staff was super friendly, all smiles and great energy, and fit me in for a table for one with no reservation. Christine was my server and she was amazing. I got a glass of Caymus as it's a great complement to a steak. I had the shrimp cocktail, which was a good amount of shrimp for the price, nice and cold, and the two dipping sauces were delicious. I had the steak au poivre with the fingerling potatoes. I like the presentation in the skillet, with the potatoes underneath and the steak came sliced. It was cooked perfect at medium rare. Christine was very attentive to me, bringing me a steak knife before my food arrived, and noticing when my wine was nearly finished. I will definitely return. This use to be one of my favorite places to sit at the bar and order appetizers. Today, we stop by the bar and the experience wasn't so good. We've never been a fan of Mr. Glen because he is not a people's person. He is very nonchalant to say he is bartender. And today made it all the more reason not to like him. Anyway, we went to grab some gumbo because it is very good and maybe some appetizers. The female bartender Grace gave us menus and told us that menu was in place because the inside is fully booked. Cool. We looked over the menu and picked the items we wanted. We wanted the pork belly. She said we don't have that. We haven't had it in a while. I'm like well dang, it's the first thing on the menu. Well give us some marinated shrimp. Oh, we don't have that. We now offer boiled shrimp. Now we are frustrated because you could have told us that when you gave us the menus. So my husband is talking to the guy next to us and expressing how he felt about what just took place. Grace gets in her feelings and says this is my job and you're not going to make me feel bad about doing my job, I left my kid to come here. Prior to that my husband asked to speak to a manager and Glenn was the manager on duty, he basically brushed my husband off. My husband said Glenn doesn't have any personality and is very passive. The guy next to my husband became upset by the way he responded. Back to Grace, she told Glenn what my husband said, Glenn called upper management. I heard him say if anymore complaints, just shut down food orders completely. We will not patronize this establishment anymore. read more

My pork belly was perfectly braised and fork tender. It was simply yummy. The A-5 Wagyu steak was life changing. If you've never had Wagyu before then this is a must order. Just ignore the price, it's worth it. I paired it with the pan seared foie gras and the combination was just magical. My wife had the Sea Bass and loved it. Based on the service this will be our last my husband and I came in for an early birthday dinner, the server that we were given made everything rushed and never explained anything to us, regarding a substitution on something we ordered, also didn't know the menu when asked what was something that was on the sampler plate when it came out that I didn't recognize. She never once asked us if we wanted refills or something to drink. The ambiance was not there because we were sitted by the stairs of a private dining room were a private party was going on. We came here finally last night for date night and let me say it blew us away. I thought the steaks would be the star, and while yes they were amazing, the crab cakes and the bread really blew our minds. You see, my husband grills amazing steaks. We eat great steak all the time. But this melt in your mouth focaccia with homemade butter, and this crab cake which is basically all crab, was out of this world. If you like supper club bread rolls, I personally thought the bread here was better. The Caesar salad was also the best I've ever had in my life. I didn't know caesar salad could taste this good. Everything we had was amazing, the Old Fashioned cocktails, bread, crab cake, caesar salad, Gumbo (good- not best ever but good, roux tasted over cooked or maybe they just like it super dark.) I ordered the ribeye and my husband ordered the filet and both were amazing. My husband got the asparagus, I didn't try it because I've had asparagus a million times, but the Mac & cheese was also great. Only complaint about mac & cheese is that it had a lot of Tasso ham chunks and when you're eating steak it's not necessary. Will be back! Every casino has their high, middle and low eatery to satisfy their range of clienteles. The boyfriend and I love this place. It is a great place to take someone for a romantic outing, or to get dress up with some friends and enjoy a nice dinner. We usually pass up the fancy dine-in and just chill at the bar area. With a full service menu, I usually stick to my favs: charcuterie board for 1and their wedge salad. The mister usually orders their hen or pork chop entree, along with 2-3 sides. Even though pricey, the portions are big and always enough to bring home for a midnight snack. The bar is a full service bar, so don't be shy to ask for a particular drink.
