Orange Creamsicle (from their Spring 2025 menu)
Aiyanah S.

It was a random gas station stop in the middle of the night, maybe 2AM. Me and my friend had just gotten back in town from a night out in the French Quarter. There's a man in there that tells us to come out to this place called ZeeZee's the next night. It slipped my mind, but he seemed nice so I decided to check them out today. Looked up their menu online, and had my mind set on a drink I saw. When I got to the bar, I was greeted with the bar menu that did not feature the drink I saw online. When I asked the bartender about it, she mentioned the drink was from an older menu, but she would still make it for me anyway! That's the kind of great service I look forward to as a first impression! I haven't even gotten my food yet, but I am already eager to recommend this spot based off of their kindness alone.

A little dark and moody, but was still able to go with a toddler (we sat in a booth). Fairly empty, just a few people at the bar. Quick attentive service. My husband said his grilled chicken club was the best he's ever had, my turkey avocado burger was good as well. The pizza beignets are actually now pizza eggrolls, didn't have the beignets before but they were good! Would definitely come back.

The espresso marinti with the beef nachos... 10/10! This bar has all of the vibes...booths, tables, bar seating with tvs, art, and dim lighting makes for a perfect drink spot. It was on the pricier side, but everything I had was delicious and very well sized. The martini was one of the best that I've had, and it was huge so I only needed one to be satisfied. The beef nachos were also a huge portion that I only put a dent in them haha. The drinks and food came out pretty fast too, and the waitress was great! The place is a little hard to find but I kinda like how it's hard to find. Makes it feel more secret right under the overpass. I will totally be coming back!

Laid back atmosphere, mainly an older crowd. Our waitress was attentive and quick. The garlic wings were not my favorite. Bacon wrapped shrimp, okay. More for drinking than eating, but would go again

This is a very cute place to go, small and dimly lit. All of the food came very quickly. The cheese curds are good but the Nashville hot isn't very flavorful, more so just heat. The cubano is very good, along with the fries. The remoulade that came with the boudin balls are very good, and the boudin balls have a great amount of cheese in them. The grilled chicken sizzle plate is really good, very simple meal but delicious (especially when you add a little salt). The twice baked potato was the star of the show in my opinion!

Nice spot! I went on a Saturday around 3pm. It only had a few patrons. I seated myself at a booth and the waiter said he would be with me. He was friendly. I asked for a sweet mocktail and he offered me something he whipped up. It was delicious! I had the shrimp which were just okay. I also ordered a pretzel that I didn't really care for. I'd probably go back to try other items.

Another spot we both agreed on, this spot is awesome! It's a small hole in the wall bar under the overpass I think I-10. They have the full bar to sit at with 3 TV's and they have a few tables (pictured) as well as some booths. Also, they do have a men's restroom the 2 ladies rooms is not a trick! They have so many eye catching menu items it's a little hard to choose. Had to get the loaded fries with roast beef and I think Swiss cheese...absolutely incredible! We also got the pepper jack boudin balls which are also very very good! They're smaller and have a good bit of cheese inside of them which is nice, it's actually not too bad being they're smaller, they're very tasty. Then we split the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was good. I personally wasn't crazy for the flavor of the sauce on the sandwich but overall the sandwich was good. The bread was good, the salad on it was good n fresh, the piece of chicken was a good quality piece and it came with a pickle spear. The fries are also really good. Our server was really nice too; the bill was $45 for 2 seasonal beer, 2 appetizers, an entree and a drink so that's not bad at all. I was a fan of this spot for sure and wouldn't mind revisiting for different items to try

It started out slow and then it got really busy in here later on to the night which seems to be a trend (if you wanna avoid a crowd come a little earlier in the day in my experience). The place is a little pricey for what I consider pub food but it is also near campus so I guess that accounts for the location. Overall the food was pretty good and we enjoyed it but I might pregame elsewhere as I don't think the drinks match the price tag.

First time here and it was fabulous. I had the shrimp with rice and broccoli and partner had the ribs with Zee potatoes and greens. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. It was a lot of food. Jacob was our server and he was phenomenal and spot on with recommendations and Zack also checked on us and brought out to go boxes! This will be a regular place from here on.

I cannot recommend this place more! Me and my friends decided to go to the power hour $5 espresso martini and we were not disappointed! Right when we walked in we saw that the place was packed and lively. Even though it was super busy we got our drinks super quick. Shout out to Ava at the bar she was so kind and really fast! I could tell that Ava knew what she was doing because the drinks were top notch! Great place to go with friends for drinks. We sat outside on their patio and there was a lot of room to sit. We didn't get any food but we will 100% be back to try more.

I love that they offer a variety of boards you can share, and their drink options are great too. You can sit inside or outside, and they even have live music on some nights, which adds to the atmosphere. The service has always been great every time I've gone. They also have the cutest merchandise available for purchase. It's a great place for date night, hanging out with friends, celebrating birthdays or anniversaries, or just spending time with family. Highly recommend!

I have lived in BR for 6 years now. Many departments at LSU take guests there and in that time, Building 5 has done nothing to improve its parking lot. The restaurant sits underneath an overpass and the parking is pothole marked unpaved gravel. This means that there is no room for wheelchairs or accommodations for anyone who is differently-abled to get into the restaurant. The whole restaurant makes no room for handicapped persons. On the occasion I did get food, the food is slightly overpriced. All meats were cooked adequately but the food was lukewarm probably owing to sitting in the kitchen under the heat lamp than being delivered promptly. When I have gone, I regularly have to ask for refills on soda as I am the designated driver often for department functions. Servers pay you no heed if you do not buy alcohol. Because I go here because of academic reasons, I would barely go here myself. I've been here many times and found it wanting. It's an ableist place in its infrastructure. It's fine I'm atmosphere as a cocktail bar but would little recommend it to people I call friend.

Once in the restaurant, we went to the bar and got their amazing Golden Gatsby cocktail. It was sweet and fruity and had a nice kick to it. The bartender made great drinks our entire visit. I also got an old fashioned which was great. We ordered the beef wellingtons minis and the duck confit tacos which were very yummy. There were not a lot of people there at all. It was us and another couple. We did not have any long wait times at all which was one of the reasons I chose an earlier reservation time not a time later in the afternoon. The ambiance was perfect for date night and the vibe was very intimate. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic evening with their significant other!

Both good choices. Overall, the wine pairing was okay. I like the appetizer pairing of a nice light, white bubbly prosecco. The second was a classic red wine to pair with a steak. The last wine is where I was not impressed. It was a dessert wine that had a smell similar to a distilled whiskey. I took a sip and decided I rather another glass of prosecco. Shout out to the server who was accommodating and swapped out that glass for what I requested. He didn't have to, but he did! The food was mouth watering delicious. We started off with the sauteed shrimp and the piquillo peppers. THANK GOD the piquillo peppers are a Solera regular. I will be getting them again. The shrimp were just okay, nothing out of this world. Second course was the filet with polenta. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavors that complimented each other well. Final course we had the rum bread pudding and the manchego cheesecake. The manchego cheese is definitely a rich and an acquiring flavor. Without the blueberry sauce, you would think its just a slab of cheese. The rum bread pudding was spectacular. I have never loved a rum sauce with my bread pudding, but the Solera one kept me wanting more. Overall and enjoyable experience, with a couple minor foods that lack the razzle dazzle of a 5 star review.
