Besides getting my salad wrong and charging me for the salad I did not receive, my custom-made pizza was cold even though Isabella is about a five minute drive from my house. They put none of the toppings under the cheese so when I picked up the cold, wet, limp slice all of the toppings fell right off. I seriously do not understand how this place is still in business if this is what they're serving to their customers and they obviously have no one checking orders... Isabella's is-a-slipping...?? We've loved Isabella's for years. We go for pizza in the evening and various things at lunch  But, tonight's visit was nothing to brag about. The pizza was about normal, which is OK, but you may as well call it "uncut" when it go to the table. A couple of nicks in the crust, not really through the pain part of the pizza, at oddball locations, and not cut so that a family could easily just serve it off the pan. We like booths and seldom sit at tables unless its necessary. But the booth seating here is apparently original to the signing of the Constitution.....sit down and fall in, and be prepared to have your chin hit the table and a spring up your rear end. Got here at 8:30 on a Friday, we're a family of 4. Ordered our food, server deliver apps and a little while later 2 of the 4 meals come out. Calzone came out with no sauce server was outside for at least 10 minutes. She comes back in and I ask for sauce. When she brings it she says I asked about the pizzas and the cooks won't answer. It's 9:30 at this point. She says she's gonna go find out. Comes back to tell us they have already turned off the ovens. With half of our food not cooked. I asked for a manager. We wait 10 minutes and I get up and ask again and am told someone is coming. Another 5 minutes goes by and nothing. I get up go back to the bar and ask for the manager. The severs are just hanging out behind the bar talking. There is none working. So they were just going to leave us sitting there. 0 out of 10 Go to the Covington location. Quick and easy stop for lunch. Crust and most sandwiches are homemade so they do take a little longer to come out but overall the food is prepared well, taste good and will satisfy. The red sauce on the pizza is more of an American style which is a little lighter on seasoning and overall flavor but they do have other sauces than red if you want a little more. My favorite sandwich is the Grilled Chicken Pesto... The chicken is perfectly cut and seasoned, the pesto mayo adds a deep creamyness, the peppers and onions deliver a nice richness that makes the sandwich. read more

The place always has good food and the service is always friendly and fast. The last 2 times we went though other areas have suffered. The booth seats are in dire need of replacement. The lights over a couple of the booths were burnt out. Had to use my phones flashlight to see menu. Our drinks were very weak and watered down. We told our waitress and she informed us that she had told the owner about the drink situation, but nothing had changed. I really hope these issues get fixed. My fiancé and I love eating here, but it seems that the atmosphere is being neglected the last couple of visits. The good news for the owners is that your employees do an excellent job putting all the chairs up, cleaning the kitchen, and making sure no one gets served too close to closing time! They smell was really good approaching the restaurant and hardly anyone was in the place at lunch time which should have been a sign. My husband was on a quick break from work so we got take out which seemed to annoy the waitress. We are from another state so we had no clue where to go that would be good and quick. I ordered a portobello panini and my hubby got the philly steak wrap. I cannot speak for how his was but mine was not good. The mushroom was so tough that when I bit into it, it would not separate and I couldn't eat it. I had to take the mushroom cap completely off and eat the bread and mayo alone. The panini was supposed to have roasted red peppers and carmelized onions on it but when I opened it, there was one sliver of onion on one half and none on the other and 3 pieces of red pepper on one half...the other half had a portion of the onion from the other half and not one pepper. Complete disappointment. Especially when you are without knowledge of an area and assume a pizza place will be awesome. Ordered from Waitr. Waitr service was great. Food received well. Cooked well. The only thing is the cucina pasta wasn't the best. Too "zesty" for me and kinda over salty... just my opinion. And they don't give enough Marinara sauce with the sticks. I ran out of sauce on the third stick. It's kind of a chunky sauce. But overall it was all made well. We have eaten here several times lately, and have been more than pleased each time. Portions are very generous, the waitstaff (mostly college kids) is very friendly, the place is very clean, the decor is inviting, and the food is excellent. Favorites are the pizza (some of the best around), calzones, and salads. Try the hummus plate! This location seems to have had a rocky start a couple of years ago, but they are rolling now, and are now consistently one of our go-to choices. read more

I've always had a good experience with Isabella's but the food I received this evening was terrible. Called in an order for a pizza and a calzone. Picked it up and brought it home. As soon as we bit into the pizza, I could tell the dough was almost completely raw and it was falling apart. The same with the calzone. I called the restaurant and was told I had to bring the food back for a refund. I explained I live 30 mins away and it wasn't feasible to return the food. The 'manager' on duty said there was no way for her to know for sure that the dough was raw without 'seeing' it. This is terrible customer service. I paid $40 for food that was inedible and was basically told there was nothing that could be done if I didn't make an hour round trip to return the food. The manager on duty sounded like a 15 year old kid and refused to let me speak to the owner. I will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Ordered a BYO Pizza and the Chicken Alfredo Pasta (they were out of shrimp). The pizza was decent and Cesar salad was average but the pasta was close to inedible. The menu does state that it is a "garlic rich butter cream sauce" but it is a strong garlic sauce without a hint of it being Alfredo. You will not be able to taste anything but garlic. Every bite had chopped raw garlic (not sautéed..RAW garlic). I love garlic but this dish was like eating a raw garlic clove. Price was reasonable and service was very friendly. With family for a late lunch. Had two large pizzas: meat lovers and Isabells special. Both were amazing. Every type of meat on the meat pizza was fantastic, and the pizza crust is some of the best I've had. Definitely one of the best thin crusts pizzas I've had in quite awhile. Very surprising to find in rural/suburban Louisiana. The waitress was excellent. Very attentive, friendly to entire group. This place used to be great. I'm not sure what has happened, but the past several times we have ordered delivery from them, our order has been so completely messed up and the food quality is lacking. I work nearby, and my co-workers and I rarely get a chance to leave for lunch. With very few delivery options, (we are unanimous in our dislike for Jimmy Johns) we all order from Isabella's quite frequently. The past several times, at least 3, our salads have come without the meat we paid for, no dressing, and lettuce that looks like it should have been thrown out days ago. Absolutely awful. When we called to express our frustration, the person we spoke to seemed annoyed and offered to bring us new salads. (Most of the time, the staff members are super friendly and the delivery person is always so nice) We declined the offer and just requested reimbursement, which we never received. I didn't bother to call again, but was prompted to come here and write a review. It's getting ridiculous there. We kept giving them more chances, but unfortunately they continue to disappoint. We've sadly given up on them. I've never eaten in the restaurant, so I can't comment on how the service is while dining in, but hopefully they'll work out whatever is causing them to slack and find new management who cares about food quality and order accuracy. read more

I ordered a supreme calzone - the only meat in it was smoked sausage (with strong smoked flavor). Tasted very weird. Nothing Italian about it. Vegetables tasted freezer burnt. Not good at all. Side Caesar salad was weak. They asked if I wanted a box to bring home the entire calzone (because I didn't eat it), and I asked if anyone else ever complained about smoked sausage in the calzone, told him I really didn't want the rest. My husband and I frequent the Covington Isabella's and have never had an issue even when the place is packed and there are only two servers. Hammond was a completely different situation. There were two servers and 4 tables with customers. Not knowing how the service was at this time we came in on a time crunch( it has never taken us more than 45 min to get our food, eat, and pay for our food). It took 15 min to get our drinks. We placed our order at this time and explained that our time was limited. We were told (with an attitude by our server!) it would be 10 min and the pizza would be done. 20 min later our server comes out, having not checked on us all this time, and tells us that the kitchen got our order wrong and we could either take as is or wait again for the pizza to be remade. The pizza they made had a topping that we can not eat, and at this point we only had 15 min left. We weren't going to risk missing our appointment, so we cancelled our order. The server said nothing to us, walked away, and shouted into the kitchen to cancel the remake. Worst experience ever. We will never return to the hammond location. If you want Isabella's just make the trip to Covington, the service by itself will make the trip worth it. read more

We were passing through town for the night and wanted pizza for dinner. We were really pleased with this nice little place. The decor was nice, quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was really good. I had a pepperoni pizza and I really liked the flavor of the pepperoni. The crust was really great, light and crisp but not hard. It was overall a yummy and pleasant experience for both of us. Places like this are why we seek out non-chain restaurants when we travel. Definitely would eat here again if we are in town. read more
