Located in a beautifully repurposed home in downtown Covington, this charming spot exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly shown to our table in one of the restaurant's small but thoughtfully decorated dining rooms. We started with the house-made whipped ricotta at our server's suggestion. Lightly topped with rosemary honey and served with grilled ciabatta, it was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Chicken Molli while I chose the Pork Cheek Marsala. Both dishes were phenomenal. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, so I guess we'll just have to return, which I'm sure won't disappoint my wife in the slightest. When we received the bill we were both surprised because we had expected it to be significantly higher than it was based on the service and quality of the food. The attentive staff, inviting atmosphere, and excellent food all help make this place stand out. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Marcello's has an upscale, yet very comfortable, persona and excellent service that combined for an elegant dining experience. Before dinner cocktails were refreshing and we then enjoyed Caesar salad and tomato basil soup before our main courses of chicken parmigiana and chicken molli, both of which were tasty in a traditional way. A tasty cannoli followed up. My wife enjoyed a Pinot Grigio with dinner, and I a very full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, which was the chef's evening's special recommendation. Marcello's has our recommendation for a special night out.

Not the case! Our server, Shelby, helped me find a few really good choices and I went with the fish and grits (called something else on the menu). It was outstanding. Rich but not too rich. Large enough portion that I took half home. One friend had the fried chicken and raved about it. (Order early because it takes time.) Another had fried cheese ravioli Several had the Mac and cheese and everybody raved about their dishes. Took home some seafood-stuffed cornbread for my husband. The atmosphere adds to the experience. It's right in the heart of Historic Downtown Covington at the trailhead with huge windows and natural light. Really lovely! They were crowded (on a Tuesday night) but the service was great and the owner popped by several times to check that everything was okay. Already planning a return trip with my husband!

I typically go here every year for my birthday and then we typically make it back another time or two throughout the year. I always get the pork chop, as you can tell from the photos I uploaded which are all from different visits. The menu here is always changing which can sometimes be a bad thing however, all the new items and different preparations of the main stays are always delicious. The only bad thing about a menu that changes is your favorite dish may not always be available. Luckily, at this place trying something new typically pays off. I have only gotten something other than pork chop once and it was a braised beef dish, which was great. My Wife typically gets a pasta dish which is always fantastic. We typically try a new app or two along with a salad. Their salads are always changing but the flavor combinations they come up with are awesome. We had a salad one time with Gorgonzola, apple, shallot, candied pecans and a vinaigrette that was one of the best salads we ever had. Their desserts also change and some of them are seasonal. One visit they had a pistachio cheesecake available, which was 10/10. Last year their seasonal sorbet was muscadine, also 10/10. Their wine selection is great and the service is always the best! Food critics typically say a restaurant that gets a 9 out of 10 or higher is worth more than an hour long wait or drive that is a few hours. This place hits that mark for my Wife and I.
