    Gyro?
    John S.

What huge disappointment. 24.00 for a gyro? Where's the gyro? Stale pita pieces, meat so salty it is inedible, and watered down orzo salad makes a terrible meal.

We came for appetizers and drinks, the service was good. The best dish was the burrata and warm bread!

The food was delicious. We did not try the pizza. However, the bread was amazing. After sharing a salad and bread, we were too full for anything more than dessert. Will be back. The pizza looked really good. Easy parking, great staff.

Looks brighter in the pix! Very comfy, but a bit noisy.

I had stuffed grape leaves with marinara sauce (delicious, although a bit softer than I'm used to. Chicken pesto pizza was great, too. And a fresh lemonade - delightful! All in all enjoyed the experience, although warning - it's kept cold and dark. If you get chilled easily, wear a sweater and if you have old eyes, bring a flashlight!

    Beautiful Environment!

Beautiful Environment I had the lasagna it was extremely mediocre but the place made up for it. The service was great so I can't complain too much. I will be coming back!

Pancetta pizza with additional fresh mozzarella and shaved parmesan on top. Excellent.

Everything we ate was fantastic and will certainly be coming back. Everything seemed home made and they knew how to cook that style of food.

The music added an interesting touch to the overall dining experience. The service was fairly good--our waitress was polite and checked in periodically, though she did disappear for stretches of time, which us in a left a bit of a gap in attentiveness. But, when she returned, she was helpful and accommodating. The food was very enjoyable overall. One standout was the Lebanese tea, which, even without the pine nuts, had a great flavor and was a highlight of the meal. Most of the dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, though the chicken in the Shawarma plate was a little dry. Despite that, the generous portions and authentic flavors made the meal satisfying. Lastly, I believe this place delivers a welcoming ambience, friendly service with room for a little more consistency, and delicious food with a few small areas for improvement. I'd gladly return, especially for the tea and the relaxed atmosphere.

Now that my family has moved away as well, I don't get to enjoy this place anymore. Your food will always remind me of home, and I hope your business continues to thrive!!!

I didn't say anything. Then we ordered an appetizer as well as two entrees. She forgot the appetizer completely. My gyro plate was cold and my fiancé's shrimp Alfredo had four (4) shrimp total and not much pasta. She only brought out two (2) pieces of pita bread, which we finished quickly. She never checked on us after bringing the food out, and we sat there for about 10-15 minutes wanting more pita bread. By the time she came back, we asked for a box and the check. We really wanted to try a dessert but figured it wasn't worth the trouble at that point. I ended up bringing the check to the register myself because she had sat at a table on the other side of the restaurant, talking to two people. She didn't say anything as we paid and left.

The service was very good but unfortunately the food was super bland. The dressing on the salad was not the same as the original and tasted like they may have used old pre/peeled garlic. The pasta that's usually is super flavorful was also super bland. The chicken was dry and zero seasoning. Gyros was okay but it's hard to mess that up. If you are expecting same good Albashas as Baton Rouge you will be disappointed. I only have 3 stars for the service and ambiance.

Celiacs, rejoice! There's a spot in town for us…read more My husband is Jewish and has wanted to try Tavi for awhile. The problem is we live in Houston and only come to the area to see my parents twice every year. On our final night, he said he wanted to go to Tavi. Wish granted. We got a reservation on Open Table (highly recommend) and headed that way. Will was our server (and was also the bartender). He was incredible. He explained how the kitchen has a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items so celiacs and gluten intolerant folks won't react. Words cannot express how much that means to us. Additionally, they could do the fried chicken hummus and use rice flour to bread it instead of wheat. We ordered it. Upon arrival, it was so incredibly good. They brought fresh vegetables (crudite) to use instead of pita (it's $8, but they are homegrown and fresh). My husband, who can have all the gluten in the world, enjoyed his with pita. He put it on his plate. The pita also came with olive oil and is made in house. You can watch them bake it in the wood-fired oven. The pita is also the base for the flatbreads. When it came time to order our real food, I got the shrimp and subbed couscous for the rice. It was like a fried Israeli rice with pistachios. Lots of crunch and excellent. The shrimp came in a New Orleans style bbq sauce. I could have drank just the sauce (and taken some years off of my life cause it was butter). My husband had the lamb shawarma since they were half off on Saturday. His came with fries. He was so impressed. If you come and split an appetizer, you could easily split a shawarma. The portions are huge (not on the shrimp, though). You definitely need reservations if you have a larger party. It's not too loud inside, but there's ongoing chatter in the background. I'd also recommend planning on staying at least an hour. They won't rush around. Parking can be a pain, so allow extra time for that. We will definitely be back!!
