I've been to some of the other locations and I was pretty excited to see that they had one on this side of town. The food looked great and the portion size is really good where you can certainly take home leftovers if you're dining in. The only thing that really turned me off and made my experience unpleasant was the buzzing that I kept hearing while I was eating. The amount of flies that were passing by me while I was eating became really uncomfortable especially considering the fact I was sitting indoors. read more

Ordered the penne pasta, which the menu clearly states is "served with feta cheese salad." When the food came out without the salad, I asked about it and was flat-out refused. No explanation, no substitution, no attempt to make it right -- just "no." If you're going to charge full price, the item should come exactly as described on your own menu. If there's an exception, it needs to be stated clearly before ordering. Food was fine, but service and honesty matter. I don't appreciate being told something on the menu and then being denied it after paying. That's how you lose repeat customers. Would not recommend based on this experience. read more

My first time here and I am regretting passing it up previously. I had hummus and spinach pies. The hummus was creamy and fresh It came with 2 pieces of pita bread. Lightly seasoned so that the India elements could hold their own. The spinach pies were not the best but were admittedly not freshly made (purchased from a company). I did not mind them so much because I had some freshly made tzizeki sauce to slather over the top. Garlicky with just the right amount of texture to be a highlight of the dish. My husband had the beef penne pasta with Alfredo sauce. I snuck a morsal. The beef was tender. The Alfredo sauce was seasoned with garlic, paprika and other spices to make a unique taste. He told me he had not told me how great it was for fear he would have to share. read more

Great food! Portions were generous and our kids enjoyed it! Try the babagenoush, hummus, pita bread and cabbage rolls!

We pick up food here often and it's always good! They are very fast and friendly as well.

Ambiance is nice. Food is good and fast. Yay. Tabouli has tomatoes in it but it is still ok Mid East restaurants could steam the pita bread though! Recommend. read more

So I have been a big fan of Albasha since I lived in Baton Rouge 20 years ago. I was very happy when they opened up in this area. Albasha Express has been a regular for us since it opened. Lately we find that the chicken shawarma has been quite dry and this evening the stuffed grape leaves were cold. And the French fries are soggy. Sad read more

Soooo happy to have Albasha Express in Mandeville! It is always so delicious and easy for a quick weeknight dinner! The vegetarian platter changes a lot and is never consistent which is frustrating, but I still order it anyway along with the Schwarma. The salad is phenomenal as a side salad. Only my first visit, my Gyro was excellent, as good as any other Alibasha but a lot faster and in a fast food environment. The food is really good, but when you order take out... they are SO CHEAP with the pita bread and tzatziki sauce. If you order a gyro platter, which is a considerable amount of meat, you get ONE pita, and ONE tiny container of sauce....There should be TWO of each... You're paying 15/16 dollars for the platter, they need to include 2 of each... Always so frustrating, and there's no way to order more online. read more

Not nearly as good as the other Albasha in Covington. The chicken is dry, the white rice has way too many peas in it, the hummus isn't as good, and the salad tasted horrible. I'm not sure if the lettuce was just old but it was not edible. They also serve you food in takeout containers which I guess is fine since it's express but overall trust me.. just drive to the other one. This one isn't worth the money. read more

Man this is hard for me to write because I LOVE Albasha. Ive eaten at the one in Baton Rouge, Hammond, Covington, and Slidell- all are consistently delicious and amazing. Favorite restaurant. However, I feel like this one is consistently bad. It just isn't Albasha. The kibbis aren't crisp, the chicken still has fat on it and not as crispy as at the other locations, same for the gyro. The other day my pita bread was still doughy. I've tried this location over 7 times, because I live close and don't want to admit it isn't good- but I have to tell somebody. It just seems like things are lazily put together or prepared. Even the hummus and grecian sauce aren't the same. So if you are really craving some delicious Lebanese I would recommend the other locations then this one. ( I've given it 3 stars purely because of the name) read more
