Stunning atmosphere, beautiful drinks, and delicious food! We tried the fries, salmon, Brussel sprout hummus with pita, and pickled veggies - literally everything was incredible. The flavors worked together so well and the ingredients were so fresh. We left feeling so satisfied and happy! Service was nice and the decor inside is so cute. Our server accidentally punched in the wrong hummus but it ended up being amazing. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Wow. A friend recommended Saba and I am so glad I came to try it. We were visiting and ate our fair share of southern food, but this meal was by far my favorite!

Came here for a third time now! Pita always slaps! I never really find the entrees worth the price, but the dips and hummus with pita is def a must have. Was seated inside in about 30 minutes on a weekday at 7:30p. Could have made a reservation but didn't want to risk a cancellation fee. Friendly staff, but had to ask for more pita every time we were empty for a table of 5. They only brought out like 2 at a time for all of us.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The ambiance is cozy, but the food is an absolute star. We got the blue crab hummus, which is expensive but one of the most unique and tasty things I've had. The lamb chops were fall off the bone tender. The chicken schnitzel was juicy and crispy. The salad was fresh. And the dips were creamy and Smokey. I want to eat here breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Saba was one of the best places to celebrate a birthday. The space is huge, with outdoor seating, a dining room, and a cool lounge room with high ceilings. We had an 8pm reservation and sat in the dining room. Our server was Cam who was so nice and comped my dessert for my birthday. I also got a card when I sat down, and we each got glasses of champagne. For the three of us, we ordered way too much food, but it was all delicious: Lutenitsa (5/5) Sooooo good! Delicious with the pita. Labneh (4/5) Not bad, but not as good as the lutenitsa. Note the portion sizes for this and the lutenitsa are small. Tunisian tomato hummus (3/5) Good sized portion, but I still liked the other dips more. Green salad (4/5) Generous amount of avocado in this salad which was awesome, and the portion size was large. Harissa roasted chicken (4/5) Delicious! It's a half chicken so it's a good sized portion. Smashed golden potatoes (3/5) These tasted good, but "smashed" is not really accurate in my opinion. When I think of smashed potatoes, I think of actual smashed, crunchy potatoes. Seasoned fries (5/5) These were SOOOO GOOD!!!! The dip was meh but the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Seasonal ice cream (5/5) It was strawberry shortcake and came with two scoops. Sooo good.

We loved Shaya and were so excited to try Saba. Less selection, more expensive, and service was not good. No "how's your food?" Or "thanks for coming in.". There was also a pricing error on our receipt. The food was yummy but second place to Shaya. Very unexpected!

I have warm feelings towards Alon Shaya, so I have mixed feelings about writing this review. I LOVE a good Patty Melt, so when I saw Saba had a Lamb Patty Melt on the menu, I knew I was going to stop by when I had an appointment in the area recently. And while the lamb and other fillings were tasty (albeit a bit salty) the bread wasn't grilled. Excuse me, but isn't that an essential element of a Patty Melt? And it sat on the plate with only a few slices of pickle on the side. For $21, it would have been nice to have a small salad accompanying it. But the worst was when the bill came. There were 5 line charges beneath the food and drink - a kitchen appreciation fee (4%), a local tax, a state tax, NOEHA tax ( I looked it up - it's a N.O. tourism tax) and a "Hemp" tax (I also looked it up - hemp tax in Louisiana is a 3% EXCISE tax on consumable hemp products). I don't think my Patty Melt or glass of wine included hemp, so why should diners be paying for that? I've eaten out a lot in New Orleans, and have never encountered all these extra fees and charges before. And look, maybe in the scheme of things, it's not that much, but no one likes being nickled and dimed to death. Kitchen appreciation fee- add it into the cost of your food and pay your kitchen staff more - but please, have them grill the bread next time. And a hemp tax - Come on!!

One of our most favorite places to eat it. We try to go at least once every year or so. We recently went for a lunch to try a few new dishes we haven't had before. We kicked things off with a Bloody Mary, regular hummus then ordered the friend chicken and fries. Absolute hits! Already can't wait to visit again.

We came on a Friday around noon (brunch) and it was pretty packed, but we were able to get seated immediately at the bar. The vibe was great- guests were slightly dressed up and the restaurant had lots of natural light with beautiful decor! The blue crab hummus was amazing and flavorful, and the house made pita was amazing too (they even gave some extra pitas upon request). The chicken was not huge portion but flavor was amazing, sweet and sour and crispy. Service was very good and it was overall a great experience!

We recently went to saba for brunch and really enjoyed it. The restaurant was very cute inside. The service was a little slow initially but our waitress was very nice. The food was tasty and the drink was amazing! Super refreshing and loved the presentation. The classic hummus and pita bread was very good! I definitely want to try other flavors. My boyfriend got the za'atar fried chicken and it was really fresh and flavorful. If you get this- make sure to squeeze the lemon on the chicken. It takes it up a notch! I got the bright green falafel and it was good, but it felt like more of an appetizer to me. We definitely want to come back for dinner to try other things on the menu.

Amazing meal! Saba has definitely been added to our must do when we go to New Orleans. Everything was beyond delicious and the ambience and service was top notch too. For drinks, I got the Consistency Was Key and my husband got the seasonal gazoz, burnt orange. Both were fantastic. To start we got the blue crab hummus which was a 10/10, nice big pieces of crab with a perfectly creamy hummus and a nice hit of lemon to break through the richness. We also got the ikra which also was super creamy, and it was a perfect salt bomb (in the best way) and the nice pops of the smoked trout roe was a welcome surprise. Entree wise the harissa chicken was perfectly cooked, moist, and had the most delicious charred exterior. The lamb kofta was a stunner and i loved the charred peppers and tahini with the gaminess of the lamb. Can't wait to come back!!

All of the local Turkish community have been elated that we finally had an authentic Turkish restaurant in the area. When recently sold it to their friends, we were a little concerned if the restaurant would maintain the quality of the food and the service.Well, let me tell you that last night all my fears were alleviated. For the past few days, I have been hosting some Turkish friends and ee were trying different restaurants, I have been trying to expose them to some of our local cuisine. Last night they wanted to try Istanbul Grill even though they normally eat at some of the best restaurants in Türkiye. Our dinner resulted in excellent experience because we were greeted warmly with a typical Turkish hospitality. We had the meze combo and mixed grill plate. We had the Turkish baklava, baked muhallebi, and künefe for desert. The food was top notch. My Turkish guests rated the food five stars. So, thank you very much Istanbul Grill, because you are not just a restaurant but representative of our culinary and hospitality culture.

Ordered the lamb kebab which comes with two sides- of your choice--I selected bulgar and salad. The entree also came with bread--thicker and toasted, and two sauces. The lamb was so tender I could pull it apart with my fingers. My cat enjoyed some leftovers!! I had the delicious meal with a turkish coffee. Packed the leftovers and enjoyed it the next day and it was just as tasty!!

Order taken quickly at the counter: gyro wrap w/side of yellow rice, an order of Dolmas (8) and a soda. With tax & tip $34.88. Sat at a booth type table for comfort, only to discover we had to tip toe around the messy floor and I kicked away a ball of something rather than squish it. Husband said wrap was tasty but didn't remember they use a wrap instead of a pita for the gyro sandwich. (I had the gyro on our last visit.) Rice was good. My dolmas, however, were gross. I don't dip them in tzatziki, I typically like the taste. However, today the rice inside them was very, very gooey, as if they sat over the holiday. I ate 2.5 and threw the rest out. Someone came out to ask how things were but apparently didn't notice they were standing on rice. I didn't say anything about the dolmas, because by this time they were in the trash. Took home the remaining portion of the gyro, rice & tzatziki. Asked for a to go box, then asked again for lids for the sauce. Both times I interrupted someone playing on their phone, and the rest of the staff was hanging out talking behind the counter. Really wished they had taken the time to check the dining area.

With groups, especially those with children, there is shuffling in, lots of ordering and confusion but the staff handled it very well. Truthfully, the only reason I returned was because others were hosting. Being a fully halal restaurant, it is one of our go to places for guests with strict restriction, but I never really enjoyed the food. I think their new management has drastically improved the menu, taste and quality of the food and I enjoyed everything that made it to the table. Standouts were the hummus, dolmas and chicken shish for me. The saj, as always was excellent and brought out fresh and frequently to the table. Being such a large group, we ordered nearly every mezze and meat dish, and a variety of drinks so it was the perfect place to host a group and get to try a little of everything. While the staff was very good at handling the group and our requests, I will say that they were stretched pretty thin. I sincerely thank them bc lots of little ones and busy parents are not easy.
